petition - a little off topic

My Iranian friend has told me about a friend of his, a philosopher and writer, who has been arrested on trying to leave his native Iran and is currently being interrogated for 'dealings with foreigners' or some such nonsense. It would be extremely helpful if you could help me to fill this petition with signatures. Obviously this kind of action by the Iranians is stupid. There is a vibrant critical culture in Iran that could help it to coexist with the West peacefully. Maybe you could mention this on the comments section of the petition?
