Hello to All !
The Chicago 911 conference - Revealing the Truth, Reclaiming Our Future, was electrifying and I had a special perspective as a volunteer - but it meant that I missed nearly all of the (40+ !) speakers and the march on downtown Chicago! Fortunately, after returning home and a good night's sleep I had a quick look to see what the buzz was on www.911blogger.com and as usual they have all the latest 911 news and great links!

Catch up on the march and the Friday afternoon start of the excitement in the lobby of the Embassy Suites Hotel ( which turned out to be an excellent choice of venue with comfy areas both inside and out for networking and impromptu interviews. And perfect sunny weather accompanied us every minute! )

The conference topics covered ranged from legal issues, strategies, education, conjecture & theory, to grassroots organizing. There was standing room only for many sessions and it was so hard to choose between top notch speakers! ( www.911revealingthetruth.org and click on Speakers)

My personal picks for favorites -and remember, I barely scratched the surface of what was available, were:

Secondly, the symbol of the upside down flag which has been adopted by Veterans for 911 Truth ( www.v911t.org ) and I affirm their claim that we are indeed a nation in dire distress. Note that it is not done in disrepect and according to Official Flag Etiquette the flag flown upside down is used only as a distress signal.

Another winner in the 'Arts' department, "Who Killed John O'Neill?" a film that incorporates drama into the complex whodunnit that is 9/11 - Thumbs up! The UK 911 group was represented by Ian Crane and Annie Machon, ex MI5 agent David Shayler was impeded from attending. Reach out to our mates across the puddle in solidarity: http://www.nineeleven.co.uk/ I managed to see the last 10 minutes of Ian's presentation on the similarities between 9/11 and 7/7 (London) and 3/11 (Madrid) and the memorable phrase for me from the event was this quote from Marcus Aurelius: "What we do in life leaves ripples in eternity."

There will be many ripples flowing from the energy generated at this historic event and I thank all who participated in and organized this conference, perhaps the largest assembly of 911 activists to date!

I would just like to say a huge thank you once again to everyone who helped Ian Crane and me make it to Chicago for the 911 conference. It was an amazing chance to see old friends, meet a host of new contacts and catch up with the latest events in the 911 movement.

The journey over was pretty hellish (and thank god I gave up the ciggies a month ago – 18 hours without a puff would have done for me!). I then had to face the horrors of US immigration, where I was grilled not once, but three times. I eventually arrived at the hotel, where I hooked up with some other early arrivals before heading for bed.

On Friday I met up with Ian, who had flown into the States separately. The event proper kicked off with a press conference that included statements from luminaries such as Alex Jones, Barrie Zwicker and Ralph Shoenman. While there was a lot of media there, unsurprisingly only one person owned up to being from the “mainstream”. A sheepish freelancer volunteered the fact he hoped he would get a piece in The New York Times. And lo, it came to pass….

Alex Jones opened the evening session and the room was packed; well over 500 people. Alex of course gave a rip-roaring speech, and I was immensely touched when he paid tribute to David’s bravery in blowing the whistle. Steve Jones and Maria Heller were the other excellent keynote speakers that night.

Saturday was the first day of the conference proper. There were six meeting rooms with a large array of speakers all discussing their specialist areas of knowledge. There was also an awareness that rifts needed to be healed within the US truth movement, and on the whole the proceedings were good humoured. However, there were one or two rancorous moments, with a bit of shouting in the foyer.

I managed to make it to woefully few sessions on the Saturday, as most of my time was taken up with interviews. I had the pleasure of meeting Alex Jones again (Dave and I did an interview with him last summer in London), and I was collared for another during the morning. Apparently this will all go into his new film out in the autumn. I also had a couple of good sessions with journalist Joyce Lynn, and a long interview for a documentary Barrie Zwicker was making.

In the midst of all this Ian and I took part in our first session as presenters, along with Chris Emery, who is an expert in the Oklahoma City bombing, and Webster Tarpley. We were all focusing on state-sponsored, false flag terrorism, so as you can imagine, time was tight. The room was heavingly full, and the audience lively, so I think we all did OK.

I rounded the day off by doing one of the keynote speeches. Again, it seemed to go pretty well and, once I’ve sorted out the technical side, can put it up on the forum if people want to have a look.

Come Sunday, I was feeling slightly bug-eyed, so it was a relief to be able to sit through some sessions, including one with the lawyer Phil Berg, a Barrie Zwicker talk, and Jim Fetzer on the philosophical side of 911, which was fascinating. However, I did manage to squeeze in one more interview with an Italian TV company!

Ian and I had another slot as well. As I had had such a great opportunity to speak the night before, we focused primarily on Ian’s research into the detail of 7/7 and the Madrid bombings. Absolutely bloody fascinating. I urge 911 groups around the UK to get him to do this presentation for them, if you haven’t seen it yet.

The conference for me finished up with a short speech to a session on grass-roots activism, before dashing out for my flight, so unfortunately I missed the final plenary sessions. Perhaps Ian could fill in this bit?

Anyway, a fascinating time was had by all, and some useful contacts made. And, of course, we are now fired up with the idea of organising our very own international conference next year. Onwards and upwards!

Absolutely. I have copies of various presentations, including the one I did on the Saturday night. I just don't have the right equipment/technical nous to get it on the forum. However, I hope to get it all sorted in the next week.
