I thought Jeremy Corbyn was now arranging the viewing? Any news on this? _________________ "We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but for the appalling silence of the good people.” Martin Luther King |

I have just made contact with an assistant to MM and I will post any news when I get it. Based on these initial discussions, the screening is currently OFF |

it would be good to find out where the pressure is coming from.
Ian, it may be worth finding out if MM has seen Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime. I think that MP's may be more receptive to this than LC2. I'm currently trying to get it onto DVD and will be happy to burn som copies for you at the weekend. _________________ "We will have to repent in this generation not merely for the vitriolic words and actions of the bad people, but for the appalling silence of the good people.” Martin Luther King |

Hi,
Spoke to Meachers office and they said (to the effect that):
"after watching the film all the way through he thought it a bit too controvercial to show what with all the other political stuff going on at the moment"
Seems a bit odd, why would ANYONE even consider screening a film they had not already watched in its entirety?
It seems that after dipping his toes in the water is still a little hot for Michael.
Hopefully someone else might show it as has already been suggested on this thread. |

I also spoke to his office.
It seems that the 'last 10 minutes' of Loose Change 2 is 'too controversial' but if anything is 'good enough' it will get shown.
Others, apparently, are still considering screening the film but Michael has important work that could be undermined by the attacks he would receive from opponents if he goes ahead with the screening.
One wonders what work could be so important that MP's be kept in the dark about 911. |

I have suggested EGLS as less controversial alternative.
As for what else MM is working on. He spoke at this event last week. For those unfamiliar with ISIS, I recommend their work especially on sustainable food and energy solutions. This ties into the other big issues MM speaks on: Peak Oil and no new nuclear plants. (Not that I believe in imminent peak oil myself) |

I was told it was on, then that it was off, then that it was on again due to Jeremy Corbyn, now I hear on this thread that it's off again. Are we being fed disinformation or what?
Michael Meacher has always dissociated himself from the MIHOP arguments. Loose Change may be too MIHOPpy for him. Anyone know a LIHOPpy movie?
What happened to Jeremy Corbyn? Is there anything useful we can do in the way of lobbying them?
I was earlier told that thanks to our lobbying MM had relented on his decision not to screen it.

Sorry, all. I should have told you this earlier.
I bumped into Michael Meacher MP at the recent Compass (Labour Party) meeting (14/06/06). I asked him about screening Loose Change. He said:
- he was continuing to get a screening of a film questioning the official 911 story;
- there were MPs who were questioning the official story;
- he named two, both on the Left;
- he said one of the MPs got cold feet about the first and cancelled screening because of inaccuracies in the Loose Change film;
- he thought films should stick to facts/evidence and critiques of the official theory's evidence rather than warn about the trampling of civil rights due to 911, the New World Order or a call to 'arms';
- he seemed sincere to me.
Is there a film that does this?

WE NEED TO MAKE OUR OWN FILM!
we really do. 'Everyone's gotta learn sometime' is pretty good but it's quite poorly produced (you can't hear the narration most of the time)
i have a recording studio in manchester with good mics and preamps/compressors etc.. If anyone's interested in putting together a documentary and want to record some narration on it i'd be happy to help for free. _________________ "During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act" |

Can someone help? was it the same chap in the 'In plane sight' DVD who said "it was like a cruise missile with wings slammed straight into the pentagon..."that contradicted himself with "It was a United Airlines 757 that crashed into the pentagon" in one of the 'Loose Change' editions? He was white, short dark hair, mid thirties I'd say.
Slightly anoraky question but I seem to recall a song lyric from the early 70's Loose change, shot down by his own '45 is this the derivation of Loose Change? |

Sheriton. Hi there. I think you may be thinking of 'small change' who 'got wasted with his own 45' in the Tom Waits song from the eponymous 1976 album. |
