Sorry but to me it has become, like so many 'americanised' non-words, debased, devoid of meaning.

What is wrong with 'truth seeker'? No connotations, clear dictionary meanings, no negative hidden semiotic linking it to nutter, user, toker, lifer and that ghastliest of all, consumer.
