No To The E.U Superstate!
11am to 6pm - Lobby your MP on February 27 and tell them you want a referendum
A continuous public meeting will be running throughout the day for people to come to after they have finished meeting their MP. It will be held in the William Sangster Room, 2nd floor, Westminster Central Hall until 7pm. When they arrive people should join the queue outside Parliament. Organisers will give out lobby guides saying what will happen, including suggested questions, stickers
organised by Democracy movement, Open Europe and Trade Unionists Against the E.U. _________________ "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" Martin Luther king

over 80% of british people want a referendum on the EU lisbon treaty, but we are being denied the vote that all political parties promised in 2005.
lobby your M.P and tell him that you think its outrageous we dont get a vote on such an important issue which will further bukld a Euro superstate with little democracy dominated by big businessess.
the tories led us into the E.U without our mandate,by pretending it was a common market, Thatcher signed the single european act and took away the source of national economic independence in mining, fishing, farming etc at the behest of the EU. Now gordon the moron is taking away the source of national political independence by forcing through the EU constitution. This leaves all national parliaments largely redundant.
employers and financiers thanks to the EU, have aggressively instigated pay freezes, privatisation, pay restraint, more work for less pay, bailing out the banks, cuts in public spending, huge profits, uncontrolled movement of cheap labour. etc.It gave the required signal to the ECJ in the Laval and Viking cases to go even further than Thatchers's anti uonion laws.
The free movement of goods, labour, services and capital whilst having an unrestricted market and privatisation, decimates the middle classes and impoverishes the working classes even further.
The anti-democratic processes and lack of accountablitity that characterisies the EU decsion making is like a cancer that undermines the very word and true meaning of democracy. Our M.P's and many of the TUC leadeship have caught the disease.
Dont believe the propoganda that once something is signed theres no way out. Yes there is! _________________ "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" Martin Luther king |

from trade unionists against the e.u.treaty website:
Militarising the EU: One of the articles of the Constitution allows for the death penalty to be introduced "in time of war or of imminent threat of war".
The constitution develops an armed wing for the EU, complete with its own military-industrial complex, which will fight resource wars in the interests of the biggest European military powers, namely Britain, France and Germany.
Moreover, Tony Blair's foreign policy guru Robert Cooper openly promotes a new form of direct European military colonialism. He claims that this new imperialism will require us to get used to "double standards". "When dealing with old-fashioned states outside the postmodern continent of Europe, we need to revert to the rougher methods of an earlier era - force, preemptive attack, deception, whatever is necessary to deal with those who still live in the nineteenth century world of every state for itself," he says. an EU rapid reaction force that will carry out military operations in the interests of "Europe". EU Chief of military staff Lieutenant General Rainer Schuwirth insists for that to develop "national governments have to give away their authority over their army" .
the constitution will demand that member states "actively, unreservedly and loyally" support a single foreign and military policy. This power is, of course, one of the major attributes of a state, along with a head of state, a single currency and a framework of law. The constitution provides for all these attributes despite the fact there has been no popular call for them to exist at all.
The constitution also formally ends the military neutrality of Ireland, Denmark, Sweden and Austria, also without asking the citizens of those states.
Namibian President Sam Nujoma has clearly defined this new European military strategy: "These Europeans, they have formed a political union and again they want to get our raw material without paying us." Articles relating to EU militarism Article I-16 states: "Member states shall actively and unreservedly support the Union's common foreign and security policy in a spirit of loyalty and mutual solidarity".
Article I-41: "The common security and defence policy ... shall provide the Union with an operational capacity drawing on assets civil and military. The Union may use them on missions outside the Union."
Article 11-62 (explanations) states the death penalty can be introduced "in respect of acts committed in time of war or of imminent threat of war" _________________ "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" Martin Luther king |

make war history - hope many of you can lobby parliament on 27th re: E.u treaty which as previous posts mention, shows the war-like plans to militarise the E.U and allow the death penalty in times of "emergency" or war. ! it will be good to dish out mwh and 911 leaflets. anyone up for it?Come down to parliament anyway and show your support _________________ "injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere" Martin Luther king |
