Wilson Doctrine out the window as the forces of totalitarianism tighten their grip around the necks of Law Lords and our elected representatives.
It certainly looks as if police or MI5 are filching Gordon Brown's mail too. As they're so effin useless and actively working against the national interest maybe we should double their budget eh?
Ooooops! Got caught out this time though didn't you!! Well done all concerned, yes even David Davies. Hopefully there'll be hell to pay for this little bit of thievery.
I wonder if there'll be an enquiry into who pinched David Davies' letter from the Downing Street doormat??????? Carried out by Lord Hutton or one of the new Special Coroners no doubt

No 10 accused of ignoring MP bugging warning
By Robert Winnett, Deputy Political Editor

Jack Straw, the Justice Secretary, has launched a formal inquiry into claims a senior Labour Muslim MP had been bugged during private meetings with a constituent.
# David Davis' bugging warning letter in full

Scotland Yard is alleged to have eavesdropped on meetings between Sadiq Khan, a Government whip, and a terrorist suspect currently being held in prison. The police and security services have been barred from bugging MPs for more than 40 years.

Watch: Sadiq Khan interview

Gordon Brown has been accused of ignoring warnings that Mr Khan was being bugged after it emerged that shadow home secretary David Davis had written to the Prime Minister in December warning him of the situation.

Mr Brown on Sunday claimed he was unaware of the letter and Downing Street said it had not been received but Mr Davis has published the letter in full.

I enjoyed Jack Straw's outrage that a fellow MP had been bugged. Apparently they don't like this happening to them, but it's fine for the rest of us to be wiretapped etc, all in the fight against terror.

Most MP's have more to hide than the rest of us, including gropers like Straw.

Daily Telegraph have a Deep Throat in Scotland Yard!!!!!

Hundreds of lawyers 'routinely bugged' on visits to clients in jails
Mail on Sunday - 9th February 2008

David Davis: The Shadow Home Secretary has called for an urgent investigation of the prison bugging scandal

Ministers are under pressure today to reveal the extent of bugging in jails after it was reported covert recordings were being made routinely across the country.

Shadow home secretary David Davis said he was writing to Justice Secretary Jack Straw to demand he order a full-scale investigation - saying ministers must have been aware.

An unnamed whistleblower told The Daily Telegraph that the controversial taping of Labour MP Sadiq Khan's conversations with a terror suspect constituent was part of a much wider practice.

The source - said to have "detailed knowledge" of the operation - told the paper they were among "hundreds" of such eavesdropping operations carried out at Woodhill Prison, Milton Keynes.
