A segment from "The Chaser's War on Everything" TV series that aired on Aussie tv channel ABC, 12th. Sept. 2007. The Chasers gang made a mockery of security at the APEC conference held in September in Sydney Australia, and left Aussie police red faced. One hundred and sixty million dollars was spent on security for the conference attended by many world leaders, including the US President, but the Chasers gang in a fake motorcade with joke 'insecurity' badges and a Bin Laden look alike drove to within meters of GWB's hotel, but could have driven right to the hotel, as they were not stopped at any security checkpoints. The stunt only ended when they chose to end it themselves!

Why is everyone so pleased...?

This goes against every security-based counter argument to the official 9/11 story.

Now, whenever any of us say Al-Q could not get pass Norad, Pentagon systems, through airport security with box-cutters etc...all the debunkers have to do is remind us of this.

The difference being security at airports has been necessary for decades because of hijackings but security meant to prevent non-existant Al Qaida terrorists is a joke. Since these potential attacks are an invention of the authorites they can afford to be relaxed about security.

But your totally missing the point.

It shows that even after millions are spent on security people in those positions enforcing that security make mistakes and let things through.

What you are implying is that the whole of the security detail involved in this prank are somehow all briefed by Bush and co not to really be arsed about security at all as they made the whole Al-Q thing up.

A conspiracy theory too far some would say.

I hear what you're saying Lee and it's an entirely valid point.

Mind you some security is mostly for show (to scare politicians, public and any potential terrorists) and some is very much in the background.

The real test will come when Chaser actually gets on board a plane and into the cockpit. I bet he wouldn't manage that!

Maybe he should try going into some secret US military NORAD command centre and taking over control of a plane from the ground using Global Hawk while his mates and a TV crew are filming in the plane?
