Hey everyone,

I've just made a few DJ sets that incorporate music and audio clips from Bill Hicks' stand-up and it got me thinking about 9-11 and the videos made by the Bristol group.

This is my main approach to intially talking people through issue of 9-11 truth; the neo-cons have made so many mad statements that have been recorded by reporters that there is often little need to venture into speculation about their attitude and motives - we can hang them with their own words!

Basically I thought it would be useful if we had a thread to chip in websites that contain audio / video clips of US and UK government statements. Ideally the sites should be some sort of 'archive', containing lots of samples, and ideally transcribed or at least sorted by date / person.

Here are a couple of examples of what I mean for audio:

http://www.thebots.net/GWBushSampleArchive.htm

http://www.sampleswap.org/filebrowser-new.php?d=VOCALS+and+SPOKEN+WORD %2FG+W+Bush%2F

The idea is to build up an archive of audio/video sources that will help campaigners produce audio/video pieces using quotes from leaders / politicians.

Just to be clear, this is not for archives of 9-11 films, this is just for recordings of politicians, news readers, and others - The comments could be directly linked to 9-11, 7-7, Madrid etc, or they could just be related to the wider war on terror and its domestic impacts.

-----------

As a side topic, does anyone use any decent freeware video editing software? - Really I'm just looking for a step up from Windows Movie Maker.

Here's a big mix of sources for more historical presidential speeches and others - Not the most on target source, but might lead to some good sites

Here's a source of daddy Bush's speeches:

This one seems to have a lot stuff - and you can download each file easily:

Kind of an obvioud one, but worth mentioning incase somebody hasn't heard of it - good for audio and video:
