Liverpool Matrix style police instead of arresting and locking up gun criminals want to knock on their doors and offer them a few other alternatives like evicting them from home, taking their kids off them, police harrassment to disturb their lifestyle, 24hr surveillance on them (well theyve already put CCTV in one Merseyside public toilet!)

Now, I am all for getting at gun criminals but if police have evidence why dont they arrest them and take them out the picture.
As for knocking on the door its a pity they didnt do that for the innocent couple they terrorised because they had a central heating boiler in the loft

A hit-list of the key players has been drawn up, and police have promised they will get “very special attention”
This seems to suggest that they already know who they are indeed. Why dont the Matrix Mob just arrest them? Special treatment for those with connections....
Guns usually mean bigtime drug dealing. Lots of money flowing through powerful hands. Reputations at risk.
Only small fry will be targeted. Teens or foot-soldiers for the bigtimers. |

Matrix teams. That's a joke, right? Tell me that's a joke?
Any officer that names a team after a violent Keanu Reeves film needs to do a bit of growing up don't they?
I found the link to social services quite sinister, especially if nobody has been convicted. We end up back in the realm of thought crime.
I assume the Protection From Harrassment Act also applies to the Police? Intensive 24 hour surveillance, particularly if overt, could constitute harrassment. (That's just off the top of my head.)
Plus what checks and balances are in place to make sure people are not mis-identified for this "treatment"? The guy/girl who steals a copper's boy/girlfriend/wife/husband for example? |
