|
|
On the private forum I have just started 2 threads to discuss the following
Agreement of a campaign constitution: the purpose of the campaign, the network and the 'committee'
Agreement for the process of selecting 'management committee' members
How to communicate the campaign on this site.
I have made this thread private since I don't want these discussions to be open to the general public, however if you are interested in participating PM me and I will add you to this section of the site |

That's a shame gordboy that you haven't taken the time to understand who, why and what is being suggested before blasting off the above.
It is private, not because anyone is excluded, but because I wouldn't want the discussion selectively cut and pasted from the public forum and plastered over the internet by mischief makers. If you have something to say on the need or lack of need to have a 'management committee' it is open to anyone. Just PM and I'll add you to the list
Different people have different approaches. Some prefer a defined structure with a formal constitution and appointment of (unpaid) positions responsible for different areas of campaigning, others prefer the anarchic lack of structure that we currently have. Reading between the lines I reckon that you and I are probably quite close: in that we are both suspicious of centralised, hierarchial structures that seek to police and dictate to the 'grassroots'. But then I'll never know if this is the limit of your suggestions. |

gorboy,
Don't Panic
As Ian is indicating the private forums are for those who are closely affiliated with the organisation of the British 9/11 Truth Campaign, associated events and this web site. The purpose of the private forums is to separate out organisational content that is used for the purpose of managing the British 9/11 Truth Campaign. Any material that is considered relevant to those who are not organising The Campaign will be published in the public forums.
Contrary to what Ian is saying, there is some structure here that is designed to ensure that things are done in a democratic way. When decisions need to be made about releasing certain material pertaining to The Campaign, there is a polling/voting process that can be used which is done to make sure that the organisers come to agreement (or not) about things. More in line with what Ian is saying, there is also the more anarchic element included within the public forums. Thus we may have acheived some sort of balance - we hope!
If you are interested in becoming an organiser then please let us know. Then you will be privy to the private forums. |
