Official: UK aided US rendition program

LONDON - An official says Britain helped the United States in a program to secretly transfer terrorism suspects across the world.

The official in London says British airports have been used in a program of so-called extraordinary rendition. The official spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss sensitive counterterrorism work.

Britain's Foreign Secretary David Miliband is due to make a statement to lawmakers.

The government had previously insisted it had no evidence to support allegations that Britain had been involved in rendition.

That'll be our esteemed Miliband, Secretary of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office apologising to the not fit for purpose, House of Commons, which some, allegedly, elected, over Extraordinary Rendition, or kidnapping by agents of a foreign country to a destination of torture whilst using the British Indian Ocean territory of Diego Garcia, which is not Prestwick, for refuelling, having received "earlier explicit assurances" from said kidnapping foreign power that Miliband's patch was clean.

But they didn't do anything illegal to their kidnappees, so Miliband didn't really need to apologise did he ?
