Exclusive: THE ROYAL family is granting two of the community’s biggest charities the use of Windsor Castle for a special anniversary dinner to mark Israel’s 60th anniversary in April, the JC can reveal.
Excited officials from UJIA and the JNF ** said they were in the early stages of planning the April 7 event, which will be held in the presence of the Duke of Edinburgh. The guest of honour is to be Israeli President Shimon Peres, who will be in Britain before hosting a major international 60th-anniversary conference in Jerusalem in May. Invitations for the Jerusalem conference have gone out to President George Bush and heads of state.
A JNF spokesperson said the anticipated 300 dinner guests would be raising funds for both organisations, the first time they have worked together on such a scale. “We are so grateful to the Royal Family for giving us the opportunity to celebrate Israel’s anniversary, and for allowing us to stage this wonderful event in Windsor Castle.”
UJIA chief executive Doug Krikler believed it was the first major Jewish — “and kosher” — event to be held at Windsor Castle.
The dinner will be part of a series of celebrations in Britain to mark the Jewish state’s 60th anniversary. Among communal functions already lined up are a dinner in central London this month, held by the Zionist Federation, with guest speaker Ronald Lauder, the new World Jewish Congress president.
There will be a show in May featuring comedian Jackie Mason and Israeli singer Sarit Hadad at Wembley Stadium, and, at the end of June, London’s first ever street parade for Israel.

** The Jewish National Fund is a CHARITY?
In technical terms, Israel is an apartheid state, according to Israeli author and activist Uri Davis, co-author with Walter Lehn of the book The Jewish National Fund.
"In Israel, discrimination is regulated in law," Davis says during an interview on the patio of his small home in the Arab village of Sahkneen, in northern Israel.

"The ideological predisposition of the Zionist leadership was to pursue rights for Jews only—but it needed to appear democratic while making sure discrimination was not immediately visible on the surface." Davis notes that the policy of ethnic cleansing began in 1948, under the veil of what Israel calls its "War of Independence."
However, with the establishment of the state, Israel still had the problem of "how to square the circle." Enter the World Zionist Organization, Jewish National Fund and the Jewish Agency, founded at the beginning of this century. The WZO is at the top of the pyramid and has branches all over the world. The JNF and Jewish Agency are part of what Davis calls the "corporation." Each group has a constitution and board of governors, and the intent of these bodies is to provide exclusive privileges to the Jewish population, basing the benefits solely on national origins.
With the creation of the state of Israel, the country's Knesset vested extraordinary powers in these organizations, to the point of making them the sole administrators of the land in Israel. Currently 93 percent of the land in Israel is in the hands of one of these organizations or the state. The Israeli Lands Administration, an official body, also participates in land ownership and development. The charters of these organizations state that land in Israel cannot be owned by anyone, because it belongs to God, but that it can be leased for periods of 49 years, then renewed successively—but only to Jews.

As for the other "charity", the UJIA, headed by the disgraced Lord Levy, of "bribes for peerages" fame, funds a program to recruit British students to participate in the Israeli Army's illegal occupation and ethnic cleansing.
I couldn't help thinking of that cliche, where the sinister villain points a gun at the feet of his victim, and orders: "Dance!":

Israeli Public Security Minister Avi Dichter threatens Israeli Arabs who refuse to “celebrate” the creation of Israel with ethnic cleansing. His bold statement “whoever speaks for 60 years about the ‘catastrophe’ befalling them will suffer a real catastrophe in the end” is horrific in nature.
He knows that Palestinians refer to the events of 1948 as the Nakba or catastrophe because it is when the local population was ethnically cleansed to create an independent Jewish State. Dichter is therefore warning Israeli Arabs boycotting the celebrations that if they continue they will experience the ‘catastrophe’ which they speak of - implying to them that they will be ethnically cleansed from Israel. He instructs that “they will celebrate Israel’s 70th and 80th anniversaries.” Its worth remembering that Dichter had to cancel a trip to the UK this December for fear of being arrested for war crimes.
