hi there
I noticed someone mention that they no longer buy newspapers but use the net for news, am just curious where people might go online, especially for Scottish/ uk news, I use rense and infowars for the global events, but here I have noticed little of this angle taken upon the news, wondering if people have any useful online recources? Also if theres any uk based web radio shows worth listening to? |

Apart from the UK Yahoo home page for news, which is mainly drivel, I look at Prisonplanet etc. But I rather like the articles at http://www.globalresearch.ca and also http://winterpatriot.blogspot.com
However, the truth of the matter is that I never buy any newspapers, and rarely watch the news on TV, other than maybe a few seconds of the headlines. I switch off the BBC as soon as it comes on, as it's pure propagandist drivel. |

Dont forget, you can read every single paper online as well.
Times, Mail, Sun, etc
So why donate your money to these evil propaganda sheets - read them free of charge!
And i highly recommend watching movies and tv shows online too.
Never give another penny to Murdoch, Bronfman or any of the other media billionaires again. |

I gets my "news" from as wide a source as possible, even sites clearly run by my enemies. I need to know what their angle is, and I quite enjoy seeing through their deception.
For my interest in Zionism, I scan Jerusalem Post and similar as they are often found reporting stuff that wouldn't get through in the West's media, such as the seismic shift running through the IDF following the beating they got in Lebanon in 06. Minerva tanks upended on the their barrels - hilarious.
They're much better against 12 year old schoolchildren throwing stones. |

Not a news site as such, but for useful background on the general culture in the UK, you could do a lot worse than visit
http://www.tvgohome.com/
It hasn't been updated for a long time, and the archives frequently fall off the net, but I can almost promise that you won't regret taking a look.
On the other hand, not having visited for a few years, it seems dated to me now, in that it no longer looks as radical or extreme as it did four or five years ago.
Night night. |

The Guardian newspaper and Channel 4 are my news "home", as much for their commentary as for the actual news, they're sort of a barometer of what is reaching the main stream and in general I trust their integrity.
My main interests are IT and identity cards so I read No2ID a lot and find the Register and similar sites useful.
I also use Google alerts for subjects of interest. |
