Quote:

Al-Qaeda sympathisers have been trying to infiltrate the British security service MI5, the BBC has learned.
Whitehall officials confirmed what some had long suspected, says BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner

This is a comment I made elsewhere, which is a hoopy bit of thinking (sometimes I have to admit to impressing myself, but I quickly get over it):

"In the week that a full page advertisment was taken out in the Independant on Saturday highlighting inconsistancies and concerns about the official account of events on 7/7, and calling for a full public inquirey, does the above mean we should no longer dismiss out of hand any speculation that 7/7 has intelligence hallmarks visible in its execution?"

This infiltration story is ridiculous. They are creating a cover story to explain why MI5 agents were involved in 7/7.

A BBC security commentator has already suggested that Khan was MI5 agent. He says, this would explain why the security services did nothing after the US warned them over a year before 7/7 that he was Al-Qaida. We already know that Aswat was MI6 and telephoned the bombers on the day. The other cover story is Londonistan: you Islamic terrorists leave us alone and you can carry on blowing foreigners up.

MI5 are saying that their 'politically correct' efforts to recruit black people is a threat to security and they are to blame for MI5 terrorism failures. Think about it, what has happened to these Al-Qaida infiltrators? Did they send them home? Did they tell them to join the Trade Department instead (since Khan worked for DTI)?

This cover story means they are afraid that given all the leaks about MI5 knowledge of 7/7, insiders will start pointing the finger at MI5.

Ah, but its a good lever for the closed mind:

"What if 7/7 looks like a security service job becuase of infiltrators?"

Of course thats ridiculous, but hey, one cannot unlearn what one has learned, or un-hear what one has heard, only ignore it...and ignore enough and those walls may just come a-crumblin down

whatever gets the info in front of people...

Tarpley reports in his "911 Synthetic Terror" that Gaddafi said on Al-Jazeera that the US should bomb London because that is where most of the militant organisations are based.
