Obama and his campaign did not "hammer" Reverend Wright. Obama renounced the how of what Wright said, but not the message of what Wright said, nor the man himself. It is the right wingnuts who hammered and continue to hammer Wright. I am sorry that Obama felt he had to dissasociate himself from Rev. Wright's comments. But there certainly is a couble standard in this country. Obama has had to put up with far more scrutiny and mudslinging than any of the other candidates. It's utterly fantastic to me that almost 20% of the American population continue to believe that Obama is Muslim, as if that is reason enough to throw him under the bus. Wright is right. And the majority of the US pop. knows it. The neocons are freaking out.
