Happiness Lessons

Front page on the Independent today tells us that the government is going to introduce 'happiness' lessons for Britain's schoolchildren. Professor Martin Seligman of the University of Pennsylvania has been drafted in to oversee the policy and train the trainers of the teachers.

This is a sinister developement. If you think not watch:

Who Controls the Children This presentation by teacher Peg Luksik studies the influences government wields over the teaching of children in public schools, even though it is forbidden to do so, and how this control creates children who do not question authority, making them easier to manage as citizens and employees. Incredible.

Scary stuff.

It seems to me like our education system is very much controlled in the UK as it is in the US.
I only recently realised how much I wasn't being told.

History is the most selectively censored subject imho.
