No, Stefan, Fran's making an important point.
As soon as you swear, even once, you lose 95% of otherwise sympathetic listeners and you're just 'swearing to the converted'.
By swearing you make your film unwatchable by most people and unsuitable for children, you also come across as inarticulate and aggressive. You've lost the argument.
Do you want people to listen or roll their eyes and switch off?
What? Swearings all over the telly and films and more than anything on the school bus. My kids love sweary movies, programmes, swearing. It's all over everywhere as a simple emphatic or angry sign _________________ http://www.exopolitics-leeds.co.uk/introduction
It was obviously light hearted. I get Fran's point and yours Tony, but bear in mind a speakers corner crowd is pretty much the hardest crowd a public speaker will ever face (and a lot of swearing goes on from hecklers anyway - the "b*llocks" was not one of us) - so a couple a swear words came out here and there - so what - I'm proud of all three of our speakers on Sunday. _________________

Trouble with swearing is that you will offend some; by not swearing you dont offend anyone. Think the 2 swear words allowed these days both begin with b.. Bush and Bliar . The bar stewards _________________ JO911B.
