Like you I am not a Clarkson person, but I know where he was coming from.

I last went to the US in 2001 (pre 9/11) and was accosted at the airport by a burly armed figure whose main concern was that I might have brought cheese or meat products into the country (never mind guns or drugs!)

In one supermarket I was refused beer as I could not produce my passport, which I had left in my room. I was 32 years of age at the time.........

Bush is drunk at the G8. Can somebody please rip the "golf buggy" and the "entrance to dinner" clips if they can find 'em?? He looks rat-arsed to me.
