I respectfully wish to help David Shayler.
I suspect he may have been subject to PDH (Pain Drug Hypnosis)
(Use of Drugs to induce trance state and electroshock to pain enforce hypnotic commands.)
I know this might be a "touchy" subject for some and I would like to avoid any strong emotional responses and just get the facts on what happened to him.
According to this video there was "someone" with him when he had his "conversion."
It is difficult to make out exactly what happened to him as the video is edited.
As far as I can gather.....
He was:
Uncomfortable.....
A bell that Rang and Rang and Rang......
Someone told him he was the messiah.
David appears to have lost a great deal of weight as well.
David Shayler was a great hall-filler for a while. And now he's lost.
He'll come back in a while, when he's done his wilderness thing.
Leave him alone for a bit _________________ http://www.exopolitics-leeds.co.uk/introduction
Watching the video above I was reminded about something I have often noticed about David Shayler's facial expressions and somewhat pompous tones. He's full of himself as always.
Now his ego has run out of control and he shows all the signs of some sort of mental breakdown. It has been suggested elsewhere that he might be going through some sort of spiritual crisis in which he is experiencing a spiritual awakening but unable to separate his ego leaving him think that he, personally, is the Messiah.
Well, "he's not the Messiah. He's just a naughty boy," for having taken a tad too many psychotropics for his own good.
I agree, all this Messiah stuff is likely to be a cry for help from someone under terrific stress. He needs counselling, preferably from someone familiar with the spiritual crisis phenomenon.

Here's some things which I think David has got wrong.
3) Being spiritual is not the same as being religious - in many ways they are opposites.
If David thinks he is the Messiah what is he doing to save the world now??
Nothing - except pray perhaps...
Wake up David!
I think someone must have done something to him. _________________ "Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish." - Euripides
