European Parliament Screening for Zero: An Investigation Into 9/11
MercuryMedia Acquires Rights To ‘Zero: An Investigation Into 9/11’
Embargoed Until 9th February 2008
London, UK – 9th February 2008 – Mercury Media today announced that they have acquired all world-wide distribution rights (ex Middle East, Belgium and Italy) for the HD-cam feature documentary ‘Zero: An Investigation Into 9/11’ from Italian production company Telemaco.
The film, dubbed ‘The Sensation At The Rome Film Festival’ has been re-edited with an English voice-over for Berlin 2008 where it will be screened as part of the market place offerings. In addition the European Parliament will screen the film on February 26th.
Zero is the first million+ Euro investigation into 9/11 and features interviews with Nobel prize winner Dario Fo, Gore Vidal, Moni Avadia and Giulietto Chiesa MEP, who is also a member of the Security and Defence Commission of the European Parliament.
The film is directed by, Franco Farcassi and Francesco Trento. Trento commented…..’This film was funded through direct contributions from the public. I believe what we have achieved justifies the many thousands of individual contributions we have received. I am very proud to have created a film which will initiate a reasoned debate into this, the most monstrous terrorist attack in history’.
Commenting for Mercury, Tim Sparke MD said: ‘Zero is arguably the most important film made this year. It proves conclusively that the official story of 9/11 is false and that whatever happened on that fateful day must be re-examined by an independent authority. It is our hope that the European Parliament will take up this challenge’.
He added: ‘We are confident that Zero will be screened world-wide theatrically, it is a beautifully crafted film, of incredible significance. We urge buyers to come to the Berlin Screening on 13th February at Parliament to see why we make these claims’.

The new Newbury Corn Exchange film brochure is just out - I picked up a hundred today for distribution in the town centre, with a ZERO flyer that they inserted for me. Just sent a letter off to the Newbury Weekly News, too. Next week hope to pick up some posters for spreading round the town centre.

Tim could you not delay the showings until mid/late September then this gives us at least a month to hit the streets at weekends with flyers.
Although it's a rush, I think the timing is good. It'll soon be September 11 again. The publicity after the showings will be just as important as the publicity before the showings. We can have some impact this year. One way of helping the publicity along is to write to local papers before and after the event, so that we can get questions raised in the mainstream media when they cover the commemorations.
After the showings, I think we should be calling for ZERO to be shown on TV.

We handed 100 of these out in the town centre on Saturday, and hopefully more during the week. The Corn Exchange kindly supplied us with a simple flyer to mark the page.
Regards,
Ian.

On seeing Lancaster's entry in the 7 day Calendar on the front page of this site, I realised that we should perhaps be putting the complete list of showings into the Calander.

Something magic happened in Newbury today. Scubadiver and I handed more brochures out in the Market Place just outside the Corn Exchange, for an hour or so before the film was due to be shown. A fair number of the faces in the cinema were ones I recognised from the Market Place.
I was finding that many people in the Market Place were wanting to talk. Some were giving words of encouragement. If all those who wanted to see the film but couldn't make it had been able to, the cinema would have been full. We had about 30 seats filled out of 40.
The fact that I could say "No conspiracy theories" was a major marketing point. Some were on the point of rejecting the brochure but suddenly became interested when I said that. That's been a unique experience for me.
The only group that I couldn't reach were young yobbos. One of them said "You don't believe that stuff, do you?" I replied, "No, I don't. That's the point". Serious young people seemed interested. One or two had seen Loose Change. One student last week said she would raise the issue with her lecturers, and try to get the film shown at her student union. An Italian guy had seen the film in Italian.
The audience included four former councillers, including a former mayor.
Best of luck to other areas. ZERO is a serious breakthrough for the cause.

Hi guys
Someone's been good enough to put 'Zero' on youtube in 12 parts. I watched it last night and it's very good! It was 2am so I think I'll have to watch it again though haha

Well done Ian and Scubadiver
There are 320 seats at the Dukes, Lancaster to fill so hopefully there will be more than an audience of 30. Approximately four hundred A4 posters have been distributed and displayed in the area by yours truly so lets see what happens. _________________ Pikey

What really annoys me is that Mineta's testimony to the Commission wasn't included but that decision may have been down to not fitting in with the style and presentation of the film. _________________ Currently working on a new website

Four hundred posters sounds like a brilliant effort. Please keep us posted on details - we're learning from each other.
We couldn't get the posters out in time in Newbury - the cinema was going to provide them, but there was a glitch with the pdf and very very little time. Had we managed that, then I think the cinema would have been full.
You've got a big challenge to fill the Dukes. I think letter-writing to the local press is a hugh untapped resource. That's why I posted my letter in this thread (though I've just realised that attachments can't be seen if you're not logged on). I've also just come across a previous letter in the same paper that I'd forgotten having written. I'll post that shortly, in order to encourage others. Letters can be more influential than the event itself. There are usually two opportunities for letters: before the event and after the event!
Best of luck!

This letter in the Newbury Weekly News (2008-08-07) called for the showing of ZERO in Newbury, following the BBC documentary on the collapse of Building 7. I had previously been pressing for the showing of Loose Change Final Cut at Newbury Corn Exchange cinema, but was not getting responses. They take their films from the Oxford Picture House cinema. So this time I tried the local paper
I've just found the cutting (but you need to be logged on to see it).

Zero is a powerful presentation which totally destroys the official state and media conspiracy theory. The last couple of minutes, which comprises an interview with a parent who lost a beloved son on 911 left me unable to speak until a few minutes had passed.
There were approximately 70 in the audience, and proceedings went very smoothly. No-one left early. New contacts and friendships were established afterwards - united we stand
Overall it was a very positive experience for the cause of 911 truth apart from when I was leaving the building and noticed a pile of www.911cultwatch.org.uk expensive looking glossy leafllets obviously left by an undercover anti 911 truth agent keeping an eye on the proceedings who no doubt will be reading this.. So sad!
Onwards and upwards, it was a good night for the cause of 911 truth even though the choice of evidence to scrutinise was selective _________________ Pikey
