My apologies if this has been discussed elsewhere on the forum but I have been away for a while and only just had a chance to see a recording of the Olympic closing ceremony.
There was a part of it where a red London bus appears (with the olympic flame buring nicely behind) then the bus loses its top deck in a kind of transformer act, after which various celeb's are paraded.
Bearing in mind the connection to London 2012 announcement (July 6th)and 7/7 the following day this seemed like a very blatant two fingers to world and another demonstration of just how cocky these guys are.
Did anyone else make the connection?

The bus was on show agian at the closing ceremony of the paralympics this time with the ground covered in red flowers - ? poppy's. It did the top deck thing once again - shocking depending on what you read into it all...
