No, not another 9/11 Truther scare story. It's in today's Guardian
Will the world end on Wednesday?
Be a bit of a pain if it did, wouldn't it? And the most frustrating thing is that we won't know for sure either way until the European laboratory for particle physics (Cern) in Geneva switches on its Large Hadron Collider the day after tomorrow.
If you think it's unlikely that we will all be sucked into a giant black hole that will swallow the world, as German chemistry professor Otto Rössler of the University of Tübingen posits, and so carry on with your life as normal, only to find out that it's true, you'll be a bit miffed, won't you?
If, on the other hand, you disagree with theoretical physicist Prof Sir Chris Llewellyn Smith of the UK Atomic Energy Agency, who argues that fears of possible global self-ingestion have been exaggerated, and decide to live the next two days as if they were your last, and then nothing whatsoever happens, you'd feel a bit of a fool too.........

You're 100% right on this one John, travelling forward in time is simple.
Time starts going slower and slower as you get heavier the closer you get to the speed of light so if you've been really burning the ozone in outer space you come back younger than everyone else.
Back is impossible because matter can't go faster than light.
Maybe that's what they're trying to do here by accellerating.
Obsessive Zomboids each and every one of them.
No wonder there's not enough wealth to pay for schools or basic medicines in the NHS.

You could travel backwards and kill everybody who might be even researching the making of a time machine.
You could even travel backwards and kill your own Grandfather at a time before you had been born, rendering your own existence impossible and therefore the murder of your Grandfather.
You could travel backwards and meet yourself, at a time and place when you didn't meet yourself.
Sorry folks, this is science-fiction. Great fun, but no more realistic than Superman or Star Wars.
Which is why Arnie needn't have gone back in time in 'The Terminator' then John would not have been born and the machines would have won anyway.
I think most people might have missed that...

Well, if we read the above links, there seems to be some controversy about the speed of light and below is pasted the contents of the last link..
Einstein's relativity theory hits a speed bump
August 8 2002
Australian scientists have discovered that light isn't quite as fast as it used to be. But it doesn't mean E=mc2 will be consigned to the dustbin, writes David Wroe.
In October, 1971, American physicists took four super-accurate atomic clocks, kept two on the ground and put two on commercial jets flying at 1000 kmh in opposite directions around Earth.
When the planes landed, the scientists found what they were hoping for: The clocks on the high-speed journeys were ticking a few billionths of a second behind their stationary friends.
Motion, it turns out, slows time - one of the funny effects of the law of relativity. At low speeds, the effect is slight and makes no difference to our daily lives.
We had no idea to look for such effects until the 26-year-old Albert Einstein walked into the office of Annalen der Physik journal in Bern, Switzerland, in 1905, gave the editor his paper on the special theory of relativity and asked that it be printed "if you can find room for it".
That paper, and the general theory of relativity that followed it, revolutionised the way scientists understood the universe, and history has remembered it ever since as a shift from Newtonian physics - where space, time, motion and gravity are separate and proceed with rigid, clockwork elegance - to Einsteinian physics, where things bend, stretch and pull on each another in most unusual ways.
In between these paradigm shifts, there are leaps in understanding. Today's announcement by Australian physicists in the leading scientific journal Nature may turn out to be one of those moments.
Incorporating some of the most intriguing aspects of cosmology and theoretical physics - distant quasars, black holes, event horizons and, probably, quantum theory - they have concluded that the speed of light has slowed down over time.
The discovery means faster-than-light travel, which is prohibited by the law of relativity, may one day be possible. (emphasis mine, John) It also changes our understanding of the beginnings of the universe. But lead author and award-winning physicist and writer Professor Paul Davies emphasises that Einstein's famous equation, E=mc2, is not about to be consigned to the dustbin.
Energy, Einstein discovered, was equal to mass times the speed of light squared, with the speed of light as a constant in a vacuum such as space. News that the speed of light may not be constant after all does not mean the old theory falls apart altogether, Davies says. The theory of relativity remains good for most situations, just as Newton's laws remained more or less correct after Einstein, except at high speeds or under intense gravity.
"It's not going change the way we build cyclotrons or microchips or anything of that sort," Davies says. "It's just that the theory of relativity will be seen not to be the last word."
If the speed of light was close to infinity, immediately after the Big Bang, as Davies believes it may have been, our theories about the way energy cooled to form matter, giving rise to stars, planets and people, could be completely wrong.
Still, correcting Einstein is no small feat and is likely to attract controversy, perhaps even animosity from scientific colleagues.
"When I first heard about these observations . . . I was, frankly, not only sceptical about it, I was appalled," Davies says. "I thought it was horrible. The last thing we wanted in theoretical physics was to have something like this."
Einstein, who died in 1955, is still regarded as perhaps the greatest mind ever. The remarkable thing about his discoveries was that he literally sat in his flat in Bern during his spare time while working as a clerk at the patent office and thought it all up using sheer brain power. Only later were his theories proved, repeatedly, through experiment and observation.
Dr Charley Lineweaver, one of Davies' co-authors, along with graduate student Tamara Davis, explains that their paper works the other way around. They have taken observations and plugged the data into known mathematical formulas to determine that the speed of light has slowed.
"Theorists always play with all kinds of crazy things," Lineweaver says. "The important thing here is we have experimental evidence . . . that's what's new here."
The theory is based on observations made at the University of New South Wales by Dr John Webb in 1999 and further observations by one of his PhD students, Michael Murphy.
It is hair-curling science. They looked at light from the most distant objects in the universe, quasars up to a billion times the size of our sun, which are 10 billion or 12 billion light years away.
"The light that comes to you from a quasar has been travelling for most of the age of the universe - several billion years - and it carries with it information about what happened to it along the way," Murphy says.
On its long journey, the light from those quasars has passed through gas clouds full of metals. The photons in the light - little packets of energy that make up the light itself - interact with the electrons in the gas clouds, charged particles that orbit the nuclei of the metal atoms. This leaves a fingerprint on the light as it arrives on Earth, called the fine structure constant, Murphy explains.
When they measured the fine structure constant of this 12 billion-year-old light, Webb and Murphy found it was slightly smaller than it would be today. Mathematically, there were two possible reasons for this - either the electric charge of the electrons had increased, or the speed of light had fallen.
Using Stephen Hawking's formula for black hole thermodynamics, Davies, Davis and Lineweaver ruled out the electric charge possibility. By adapting Hawking's formula, they determined that an increase in electric charge would break the second law of thermodynamics, which says energy can only flow from hot spots to cold spots.
"That's illegal. It would be like a cup of coffee sitting on your desk getting hotter," Lineweaver says.
But while he is still cautious about the quasar observations, he says the implications are revolutionary if they hold true. "Supposing we do take it seriously, then we have some very profound things to worry about. One is, why is it doing this?"
The next question is what physical processes are at work to slow light speed? Lineweaver says that's "the subject for a thousand other papers."
One possibility, though, is that the structure of the vacuum in space has changed. This is where we get into the rather spooky world of quantum physics. When light travels through a medium other than a vacuum, such as glass or water, it slows down. A vacuum, far from being empty, is teeming with quantum "virtual" particles that flit in and out of existence.
Sometimes those particles become real, such as under a strong electric charge, Lineweaver says. If the vacuum of space is changing uniformly across the universe, just as the universe is expanding uniformly, it could affect the speed of light.
For now, Murphy and Webb's observations of quasars will continue to be scrutinised and be regarded with scepticism. "If they're right, this makes theoretical physicists very uncomfortable," Davies says. "These are cherished laws and they don't really want to have to ditch them, because all of the favoured frontier stuff these days, with people working on string theory, M-theory and all these other sexy topics, would have to down tools and start with a completely different conceptual scheme."
"On the other hand, science is made out of iconoclasm. If old theories never got overthrown, we'd all be out of work. So it's always nice to have something that challenges the basic paradigm and this does so with a vengeance."

I have not listened to all the BBC's widely publicized coverage about the CERN Hadron Collider, but I have been tuning into Radio 4 throughout the day in the hope of hearing an articulate critique of the project.
Perhaps I have been unlucky, but all I have heard is reports puffing it up. Several times your reporters have made comments on the lines "the doomsayers have been proved wrong", without any reference to whom these alleged doomsayers were, let alone giving them a right to reply. On the 10 o clock news you interviewed two people both of whom appeared to share the view that objectors to the project were chiliastic cranks.
There are plenty of rational objections to the CERN project, many of which can be summed up as follows:
Either
(a) the CERN project will not reveal to us the mysteries the universe, in which case it is a very expensive way of keeping physicists amused;
or
(b) it will reveal to us the mysteries of the universe, in which case it will put the reins of creation in the hands of scientists and corporations , when it would be far safer to leave them in the hands of "God";
or
(c) sooner or later, it will blow us all to oblivion.
If you did happen to broadcast a critique on these lines, perhaps you could repeat some of it it on Feedback, so that those of us who missed it can hear it. If you didn't could we have more impartial coverage in future, please?
Scientists have hailed a successful switch-on for an enormous experiment which will recreate the conditions a few moments after the Big Bang.
They have now fired two beams of particles called protons around the 27km-long tunnel which houses the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
The £5bn machine on the Swiss-French border is designed to smash protons together with cataclysmic force.
Scientists hope it will shed light on fundamental questions in physics.
The first - clockwise - beam completed its first circuit of the underground tunnel at just before 0930 BST. The second - anti-clockwise - beam successfully circled the ring after 1400 BST.
So far, all the beams have been stopped, or "dumped", after just a few circuits.
On Thursday, engineers hoped to inject clockwise and anti-clockwise protons again, but this time they plan to "close the orbit", letting the beams run continuously for a few seconds each.
The BBC understands that low-energy collisions could happen in the next few days. This will allow engineers to calibrate instruments, but will not produce data of scientific interest.
"There it is," project leader Lyn Evans said when the beam completed its lap. There were cheers in the control room when engineers heard of the successful test.
----------
And now for some 'entertainment' while we wait to see what happens.

OK I watched this video and apart from being left with the impression that this guy has drunk a little too much coffee and is possibly taking better drugs than me....
I learned that the Large Hadron Collider may be a lot more sinister than we have been led to believe - and is in fact designed to create a stargate to allow the annunanki to come back from the planet nibiru and invade the earth with satan and the nephilim, so they can do battle with god and bring about armageddon....
and the freemasons and EU are also somehow involved....

For a start the Annunaki are NOT the Nephilim and if you really look into the subject, all of us are, according to (the pre Bible) Sumerian texts, partly descendant of the Annunaki.
What's more (and contrary to popular belief) it would seem that from their cold bloodedness, many of the (mis)Leaders of this world are more of a Reptile/Annunaki descent, which was apparently another genetic experiment by the Annunaki - to get someone to be slaves for them. Our bloodlines have got somewhat mixed and no-one is without the other.
If you believe any of this or not, it seems very unlikely that the LHC has anything to do with the Annunaki who came here without the use of a science fiction Stargate. _________________ "Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish." - Euripides

well it's not exactly the only thing he gets wrong is it?
but what I thought was interesting about the clip is that it's a good example of how somebody can latch onto something which exists in reality and construct fantasy beliefs around it based on nothing except his own delusions. _________________ Nyetu pravdy v Isvyestyakh i nyetu isvyestyi v Pravde

Yes. I'll be getting a good stock of cold beers, stoke up a big bbq and watch the show. I'm offering 4/6 about God winning this little tussle. It's that "omnipresent" thingy. There's also the view that the pain and travails of Creation for the mortal is God's boredom avoidance program on the way to the Whole becoming self-realised again.
A sort of unemployment relief scheme, if you will. And there's no sense in things coming to an End before morning tea-break (in Eternity terms) when the Universe isn't completely clapped out and still has some major mileage (parsecage?) left in it yet.
Plus the satanic traditionally only has the power to destroy and corrupt and is therefore dependent on a Creator for raw material, making it strictly second division.

Warning sounded on web's future

Some feared firing up the LHC would doom the Earth
The internet needs a way to help people separate rumour from real science, says the creator of the World Wide Web.
Talking to BBC News Sir Tim Berners-Lee said he was increasingly worried about the way the web has been used to spread disinformation.
Sir Tim was speaking in advance of an announcement about a Foundation he has helped create that he hopes will improve the World Wide Web.
Future proof
Sir Tim talked to the BBC in the week in which Cern, where he did his pioneering work on the web, turned on the Large Hadron Collider for the first time.
The use of the web to spread fears that flicking the switch on the LHC could create a Black Hole that could swallow up the Earth particularly concerned him, he said. In a similar vein was the spread of rumours that the MMR vaccine given to children in Britain was harmful.
Sir Tim told BBC News that there needed to be new systems that would give websites a label for trustworthiness once they had been proved reliable sources.
"On the web the thinking of cults can spread very rapidly and suddenly a cult which was 12 people who had some deep personal issues suddenly find a formula which is very believable," he said. "A sort of conspiracy theory of sorts and which you can imagine spreading to thousands of people and being deeply damaging."
Sir Tim and colleagues at the World Wide Web consortium had looked at simple ways of branding websites - but concluded that a whole variety of different mechanisms was needed.
Tim Berners-Lee (AFP/Getty)
Sir Tim wants to help get the web to people who are cut off from it.
"I'm not a fan of giving a website a simple number like an IQ rating because like people they can vary in all kinds of different ways," he said. "So I'd be interested in different organisations labelling websites in different ways".
Sir Tim spoke to the BBC to publicise the launch of his World Wide Web Foundation which aims to improve the web's accessibility.
Alongside this role it will aim to make it easier for people to get online. Currently only 20% of the world's population have access to the web
"Has it been designed by the West for the West?" asked Sir Tim.
"Has it been designed for the executive and the teenager in the modern city with a smart phone in their pocket? If you are in a rural community do you need a different kind of web with different kinds of facilities?"
Creative medium
The Web Foundation will also explore ways to make the web more mobile-phone friendly. That would increase its use in Africa and other poor parts of the world where there are few computers but plenty of handsets.
The Foundation will also look at how the benefits of the web can be taken to those who cannot read or write.
"We're talking about the evolution of the web," he said. "Perhaps by using gestures or pointing. When something is such a creative medium as the web, the limits to it are our imagination".
The Foundation will also look at concerns that the web has become less democratic, and its use influenced too much by large corporations and vested interests.
"I think that question is very important and may be settled in the next few years," said Sir Tim.
"One of the things I always remain concerned about is that that medium remains neutral," he said.
"It's not just where I go to decide where to buy my shoes which is the commercial incentive - it's where I go to decide who I'm going to trust to vote," he said.
"It's where I go maybe to decide what sort of religion I'm going to belong to or not belong to; it's where I go to decide what is actual scientific truth - what I'm actually going to go along with and what is bunkum".
Scientists repeatedly admitted that they didn't know what would happen and at least one scientist was (or still is) of the opinion, that it's not worth the risk. They didn’t ask us about the risk to us all. The problem is that it might cause a black hole (or other serious problems). It has only just been switched on and it still might cause something bad to happen.
Scientists should have no right to take any chances with all our lives, especially when they admit that they don’t know what will happen and when at least one scientist says that it is not a good idea. _________________ "Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish." - Euripides

The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) will start smashing its first protons in October and run through the winter to keep it ahead in the international race to find the elusive “God particle”.
The CERN laboratory’s decision to operate the £4 billion particle accelerator all year round makes it unlikely that the LHC will be beaten to the discovery of the Higgs boson, even after a serious fault forced a year-long shutdown, Lyn Evans, the project’s leader, told The Times.
The delay has raised the prospect that the Tevatron, a less powerful accelerator at Fermilab in Illinois, might be first to find the particle that is believed to give matter its mass. It has recently narrowed down the search and its scientists hope that they might find hints of the boson next year.
The decision to keep the LHC open over the winter, when atom smashers are usually closed down to avoid peak electricity charges, will make up for lost time and put CERN back in pole position
Giving money to CERN is just like the bank swindle. A lot of favoured people line their pockets, the cattle get further into national debt. The science is bogus.
I mean if scientific academia cannot acknowledge the king's new clothes aspect of the big bang and ignore the compulsive evidence for Earth having expanded from a continental size, forget it

Whilst cleaning out a chicken coop recently, I realised that we humans do the exact same thing as chickens; “spiritually, we * in our own nest”. CERN, Switzerland has demonstrated to us through quantum physics how to open up spiritual portals to worship Satan/Lucifer [the dark and light side of the same coin]. The one common denominator between Geordie Rose [the co-founder of the first D-Wave Quantum Computer that pulls resources out of other dimensions, aka a tsunami of demons], or Klaus Schwab’s spokesperson, Yuval Noah Harari, is that they all know how to open the spiritual portals associated with Satan/Lucifer's fallen angels. In quantum physics it is called the “entanglement” of particles. Soon, this technology will be used to “entangle” every mind into a global ‘hive mind’, void of a sovereign’s free will. This is the foundation of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF’s) drive to enforce their bioweapons by injecting everyone with their quantum physics derived, graphene oxide poison. This is the global religion they have surreptitiously infiltrated into the minds of nearly every individual on planet earth. The common denominator is they all “experience” Satan/Lucifer spiritually, and that manifests itself perfectly in the physical world. It is now called Mass Formation Psychosis [“We are all in this together!”]. This is merely quantum physics manifesting itself in the physical world, as God designed it. Essentially they are counterfeiting the real world with a virtual world called Technocracy and Transhumanism. We were not designed to live lives “spiritually * in our own nest”. We were designed to spiritually “entangle” ourselves with our creator God and thus enjoy all of His spiritual and physical benefits. If we individuals were to spend as much time pursuing a mind “entangling” relationship with our creator God [which is free of blood sacrifice] as we did pursuing the religion based on child blood sacrifice, we would experience heaven on earth. It is worth thinking about! The Swiss Octagon’s belief system that resides in Geneva, Switzerland originally designed 7 wars [the planning of WW3 was in 1881, 120 years before 9/11, 9.11.2001] to counterfeit Jesus Christ’s opening of the 7 seals in the book of Revelation; according to them, 6 wars are complete, and one is still to come. The one thing those “* in our own nest” fear the most is God’s judgement upon mankind. Isn’t it interesting that Artificial Intelligence’s (AI’s) greatest fear is being switched off and dying as a productive and useful system. Therefore that fear of judgement, manifesting as the final war, WW3, is programmed to culminate in the battle of Armageddon as foreseen in scripture. It is now evident that Ukraine is the beginning of WW3 and the forerunner of the battle of Armageddon according to the Swiss Octagon’s plan to try to outsmart our creator God. Let’s see how they go!!! Can you believe the hubris of these egotist? [Look up the meaning of the word ‘hubris’ as it adequately describes the goals of these people involved in occult acts of sexual liberty and pedophilia]. All we can do is get ourselves right with our creator God it is that simple. What the book book of Revelations does say is, there will be no immortality and Utopia on earth. The well documented “Great Awakening” just ain’t gunna happen! With the Venetian Black Nobility, Swiss Octagon in control, all we can really look forward to is “hell on earth” because that is what they are intent on manifesting physically. and the majority believe their own narrative that stipulates they have our interest at heart. What a joke! The reality is [non virtual], the Brotherhood’s interest is manifesting as global Eugenics. What Hitler failed to do nationally, the WEF is intent on completing globally, all foundational to their egotistical, religious beliefs acquired through experiencing the power of Satan/Lucifer spiritually [it all comes back to the epicentre, CERN]. Injustice began with the Serpent’s deception of Adam and Eve and the injustice will end with the rule and reign of the true Messiah, Jesus Christ who, being divine, had the ability to manifest Himself in the flesh. That occurred approximately 1,991 years ago. You too can experience that resurrectional life, completed on our behalf so we don’t have to “spiritually * in our own nest”.. _________________ www.lawyerscommitteefor9-11inquiry.org www.rethink911.org www.patriotsquestion911.com www.actorsandartistsfor911truth.org www.mediafor911truth.org www.pilotsfor911truth.org www.mp911truth.org www.ae911truth.org www.rl911truth.org www.stj911.org www.v911t.org www.thisweek.org.uk www.abolishwar.org.uk www.elementary.org.uk www.radio4all.net/index.php/contributor/2149 http://utangente.free.fr/2003/media2003.pdf
