Getting rid of your TV would be good for you! But please don't smash it to smithereens, because it would be bad for the environment and the tube might implode and injure you. Just cut all the wires you can find inside the TV before disposing of it, so that no one else can use it.

That's the spirit! And you should definitely film it and put it on Youtube, like those guys did when they smashed their PS3s. It'll make for powerful viewing - ironically enough - and hopefully inspire others to remove the greatest weapon against the human mind from their lives.
