"Nonsense" is so obviously sh it! |
Your post. Are you saying "nonsense" was adjusted to "nonsense"?
That's an edit as the software merely substitutes an asterisk
I agree this is nonsense, allowed I believe, and if I had access to the software, I'd lift the censoring of language, as I said many moons ago.
Language is only language and noone has the right to tinker with its proper expression as long as it's not personally abusing a contributor
EDIT No I put a slang word for faeces, equivalent to nonsense in this post and it came out "nonsense".. What utter nonsense and nonsense.
This is supposed to be a "truth" forum
Please, Tony, stop playing this nonsensical game,...ffs
I'll edit this once again - even as harmless a word as c*r*@*p is being taken out _________________ http://www.exopolitics-leeds.co.uk/introduction |

Hi Tony,
Some of us eff and blind as a matter of course
I'm not certain you're absolutely free of it
It's not nice that natural functions should be used perjoratively, but that's the way it is, and people don't need protecting, least of all those who've got this far _________________ http://www.exopolitics-leeds.co.uk/introduction |

I think it's more important to listen to what someone is trying to say than be sidetracked by the actual words that are used. There shouldn't be banned words in my opinion but we do need to use some common sense. Then if someone only uses 'bad' words, they have lost the argument when they haven't said anything of value to whatever the subject is. _________________ "Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish." - Euripides

Hello Tony,
well this was quite a statement of yours, particularly the bit in bold:
Quote: | It's not nonsense, it's for those who don't appreciate swearing. For people who, like me, believe that when you start effing and blinding you've lost the argument.
Anyway if you want to discuss it do it in 'about this website' or somewhere else and I'll consider removing specific swear word censors.
And you should have PM'ed John or me before posting this.
Read the rules Newspeak.
This is not a game.
|
Where have I said or suggested this is a game?
Your tone is very disrespectfull to all of us out there doing their thing everyday, and to have the word "sh it" replaced by the auto sensor to
"nonsense" is in itself ridiculous IMO.
Notice the time between posting those last 2 posts(a minute or 2 ),
which show's it was an instant reaction to the censoring of the post, not a game play that you allude to.
Also,I don't know of anyone now attempting to "F and Blind" on this site,as I'm sure everyone knows without your proclamation, the subjects raised here (and other sites like this) deal with serious issues.
I hope you will see a compromise is warranted here, without continuing to make this subject an over-blown distraction.
Cheers

This is boolox stuff to have to talk about. A waste of time effort and doodoo
Why shouldn't people speak freely here?
Take down the language censoring mode Tony, John, whoever
The mods should be able to take out those who overstep the mark and become truly offensive _________________ http://www.exopolitics-leeds.co.uk/introduction |

Of course you are entirely correct Paul,it seems Tony needs to deny free expression of natural thought,it is of course another futile diversion.
The question is, what have I posted recently that is provoking this entirely useless argument?
That may cause yet another ban over nothing! _________________ http://www.myspace.com/glassasylum2

TonyGosling wrote: | you're dramatising not me
now what was that expression you felt you had to swear profusely to make your point
In quotations please
I bet you're talking ballcockz |
"Profusely"-definition: many,much, considerable, abundant
It was just the one word of 4 letters starting with S and ending in T as you very well know, now you're implying it was multiple swear words to back up this little drama of yours!
That is dishonest, but never mind eh Tony, you drama queen you _________________ http://www.myspace.com/glassasylum2
