25 seconds in Al Jazeera shows an interesting shot of the first plane impact from a previously unknown angle. Is the video faked?

LOST unseen footage taken from Al Jazeera news (2006). It Appears to show video of First plane hitting North Tower of WTC. Until now we have been told the only video of this was taken from the Naudet 9/11 video.

This looks faked, IMO. Note the aircraft the split second prior to hitting the tower, then that split second later the blast looks to be fully extended. There is no growth in the smoke and flames. Doesn't look real.

Either that or else someone has taken out a few frames, but why do that?

I'm not familiar enough with Al Jazeera to know if it's even a genuine promo short or not, but the WTC1 strike is certainly a fake.

Despite the lo-res example, there are blatant signs of montaging, such as the 'drop shadow' style outlining of the explosion. The location of the strike is also incorrect.

There are a hive of no-planes footage-faking tossuers out there (right, Fred?) who are notorious for screwing with legit video to create the 'anomalies' that they then "discover" - viz. the repeating smoke fake on terrorize.dk.

If I had to guess , in this case I'd go for Al Jaz not being given licence to use authentic US media footage and then 'creatively' making something 'close enough' for 2 seconds TV work.

I think it has been faked because the plane was flying at an angle while we are pretty sure WTC1 was hit by an aircraft that was flying almost level. It is easy to mock up this graphic and avoids copyright ownership problems.
