What have Pakistan's Post-Musharraf CIA been up to?
Commander in Chief of the Indian Anti-Terror Police, who was investigating recent atrocities, and at least one more senior Indian Policeman were assassinated.
This was no amateurish attack.
Terror attacks in Mumbai; 80 dead, over 900 injured
Mumbai (AsiaNews/Agencies) - An unknown group, the Deccan Mujahedeen, claimed responsibility of a number of violent terror attacks in the city of Mumbai. Terrorists used heavy machine guns and grenades killing at least 80 and sending more than 900 to hospital.
The attacks were aimed to strike at the city's most high-profile targets: rail terminus; domestic airports, hospitals and the luxury hotels Oberoi and Taj Hotel at the Gateway.
The attacks appeared to be aimed at getting international attention as the terrorists took up to 40 British nationals and other foreigners hostage.
During the night there were reports of firing around several landmark buildings, including the Taj hotel, Oberoi and other tourist attractions. Police and the army have surrounded the buildings and are engaged in a battle.
There has been a wave of bombings in Indian cities in recent months which has left scores of people dead. Most of the attacks have been blamed on Muslim militants, although police have also arrested suspected Hindu extremists. A series of attacks in Mumbai in July 2006 killed almost 190 people and injured more than 700.
Been watching this live feed for about an hour. First someone was saying Al-Qaeda over and over, then the other guy said they don't know who did it. Then they show the weapons they used and - not one, but two credit cards with pictures on them, have been found.

Russia Today got it wrong.
Tight security had recently been relaxed.
Was the Indian Anti-Terror chief unwittingly meeting with representatives of the ISI when he was assassinated?
And the raid then kicked off?
Absurd disinfo that he was killed when charging in with his anti-terror squad was being peddled earlier today.
Wheres ya sauce
CNN say it at the end of a report kind of 'oh well more fool them for not being security conscious' like, kind of taking the edge off how sophisticated the attackers were??

Red Alert: Possible Geopolitical Consequences of the Mumbai Attacks (Open Access)
Stratfor Today » November 27, 2008 | 0434 GMT
Fire at Mumbai's Taj Mahal hotel after Nov. 26 attack

A fire in the dome of the Taj Hotel in Mumbai on Nov. 26
If the Nov. 26 attacks in Mumbai were carried out by Islamist militants as it appears, the Indian government will have little choice, politically speaking, but to blame them on Pakistan. That will in turn spark a crisis between the two nuclear rivals that will draw the United States into the fray.
* Militant Attacks In Mumbai and Their Consequences
At this point the situation on the ground in Mumbai remains unclear following the militant attacks of Nov. 26. But in order to understand the geopolitical significance of what is going on, it is necessary to begin looking beyond this event at what will follow. Though the situation is still in motion, the likely consequences of the attack are less murky.
We will begin by assuming that the attackers are Islamist militant groups operating in India, possibly with some level of outside support from Pakistan. We can also see quite clearly that this was a carefully planned, well-executed attack.
Given this, the Indian government has two choices. First, it can simply say that the perpetrators are a domestic group. In that case, it will be held accountable for a failure of enormous proportions in security and law enforcement. It will be charged with being unable to protect the public. On the other hand, it can link the attack to an outside power: Pakistan. In that case it can hold a nation-state responsible for the attack, and can use the crisis atmosphere to strengthen the government’s internal position by invoking nationalism. Politically this is a much preferable outcome for the Indian government, and so it is the most likely course of action. This is not to say that there are no outside powers involved — simply that, regardless of the ground truth, the Indian government will claim there were.
That, in turn, will plunge India and Pakistan into the worst crisis they have had since 2002. If the Pakistanis are understood to be responsible for the attack, then the Indians must hold them responsible, and that means they will have to take action in retaliation — otherwise, the Indian government’s domestic credibility will plunge. The shape of the crisis, then, will consist of demands that the Pakistanis take immediate steps to suppress Islamist radicals across the board, but particularly in Kashmir. New Delhi will demand that this action be immediate and public. This demand will come parallel to U.S. demands for the same actions, and threats by incoming U.S. President Barack Obama to force greater cooperation from Pakistan.
If that happens, Pakistan will find itself in a nutcracker. On the one side, the Indians will be threatening action — deliberately vague but menacing — along with the Americans. This will be even more intense if it turns out, as currently seems likely, that Americans and Europeans were being held hostage (or worse) in the two hotels that were attacked. If the attacks are traced to Pakistan, American demands will escalate well in advance of inauguration day.
There is a precedent for this. In 2002 there was an attack on the Indian parliament in Mumbai by Islamist militants linked to Pakistan. A near-nuclear confrontation took place between India and Pakistan, in which the United States brokered a stand-down in return for intensified Pakistani pressure on the Islamists. The crisis helped redefine the Pakistani position on Islamist radicals in Pakistan.
In the current iteration, the demands will be even more intense. The Indians and Americans will have a joint interest in forcing the Pakistani government to act decisively and immediately. The Pakistani government has warned that such pressure could destabilize Pakistan. The Indians will not be in a position to moderate their position, and the Americans will see the situation as an opportunity to extract major concessions. Thus the crisis will directly intersect U.S. and NATO operations in Afghanistan.
It is not clear the degree to which the Pakistani government can control the situation. But the Indians will have no choice but to be assertive, and the United States will move along the same line. Whether it is the current government in India that reacts, or one that succeeds doesn’t matter. Either way, India is under enormous pressure to respond. Therefore the events point to a serious crisis not simply between Pakistan and India, but within Pakistan as well, with the government caught between foreign powers and domestic realities. Given the circumstances, massive destabilization is possible — never a good thing with a nuclear power.
This is thinking far ahead of the curve, and is based on an assumption of the truth of something we don’t know for certain yet, which is that the attackers were Muslims and that the Pakistanis will not be able to demonstrate categorically that they weren’t involved. Since we suspect they were Muslims, and since we doubt the Pakistanis can be categorical and convincing enough to thwart Indian demands, we suspect that we will be deep into a crisis within the next few days, very shortly after the situation on the ground clarifies itself.
Militants who attacked Mumbai came from Pakistan: army official

Militants who staged multiple attacks in the Indian city of Mumbai, killing at least 125 people and injuring hundreds more, came from Pakistan, a senior military official said on Thursday.
"They are from across the border and perhaps from Faridkot, Pakistan. They tried to pretend that they were from Hyderabad," Major General R.K. Hooda, leading the military operation to flush out the extremists, told reporters.

It is 4AM in India right now. I am in Mumbai reporting from the ground. I have not slept a wink. Mumbai is under attack. People and forces who killed Mahatama Gandhi, who demolished the Babari Mosque have triumphed. More than 16 groups of terrorists have taken over Taj, Oberai and several hotels. Hundreds of people are dead. For the first time no one is blaming Muslim organizations. The Mumbai ATS chief Hemant Karkare and other officers of the ATS have been killed. These were the same people who were investigating the Malegaon Blasts–in which Praggya Singh, an army officer and several other noted personalities of the BJP-RSS-Bajrang Dal-VHP were arrested. Karkare was the man to arrest them. Karkare was receiving threats from several quarters. LK Advani, the BJP chief and several other prominent leaders of the so-called Hindu terrorism squad were gunning for his head. And the first casualty in the terrorist attack was Karkare! He is dead–gone–the firing by terrorists began from Nariman House–which is the only building in Mumbai inhabited by Jews. Some Hindu Gujaratis of the Nariman area spoke live on several TV channels–they openly said that the firing by terrorists began from Nariman house. And that for two years suspicious activities were going on in this house. But no one took notice.

As many as 12 hardline Hindutva activists, including Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Lt. The Times is already perpetrating the myth that Hemant Karkare, who had also been investigating Hindu terrorism, led a mad charge into the fray rather than was killed at the outset and was a target from the outset.
What did Hemant Karkare know?
Most peculiar.
Quote:
Mr Karkare’s decision to lead his troops from the front was typical of India’s anti-terrorism commanders. The country has a tradition of promoting police officers who specialise in “encounter killings” – a controversial form of extrajudicial justice used against suspected criminals. It is not unusual for such men to have dozens of kills to their name.

MUMBAI: M V Alpha, a ship which is suspected to have carried the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks, was today found 112 km from here by the
Coast Guard, officials said.
A CG spokesman said that searches were being carried out on board the ship but declined to elaborate.
The Coast Guard had launched two aircraft, choppers and its vessels after receiving information that the ship could have carried the terrorists from Gujarat to Mumbai.
In Nariman House, Jewish sect targeted
28 Nov 2008, 0513 hrs IST, TNN
The terrorists knew who they were targeting. Nariman House in Colaba is the Mumbai headquarters of the ultra-orthodox Chabad-Lubavitch movement of Hasidic Jews. Assuming the attackers were Islamic terrorists, Israelis were a deliberate target.
Rabbi Gavriel Holtzberg and his wife Rivka have been held hostages. The Jerusalem Post said the terrorists released the rabbi’s young son and his nanny. It said the rabbi and his wife were unconscious.
Three-four terrorists are said to be in the house. Nariman House was renamed Chabad House after the group bought it two years ago. _________________ 'Come and see the violence inherent in the system.

Mumbai: The Navy which intercepted and board a Vietnam-registered ship MV Alpha, has given the clean chit to the vessel after questioning the crew and checking their papers.
Television reports quoted officials of the Defence Ministry to state that the ship was intercepted and searched as per the international maritime laws. The papers were found in order and the ship was allowed to proceed on the Panama route.
Navy has intercepted and boarded the suspect MV Alpha, a Vietnamese registered ship, that is suspected to have dropped the terrorists off the coast of Mumbai.
The Navy's Leander class frigate 'Vindhyagiri' and naval helicopters from the INS Kunjali were involved in pursuit of the merchant vessel.
Defence officials had said 40 marine commandos were involved in the anti-terror operations in South Mumbai till morning and rescued 300 people. One Marine Commando (MARCO) has been injured and being treated for the injuries. In the operation the commandos recovered a bag with cash, ammunition and credit cards.

"We have apprehended two cargo ships in a joint operation near the Gujarat coast while they were sailing to Karachi. They are suspected to be the ships that ferried the terrorists near to Mumbai coast yesterday," Home Ministry sources said.
The three sea-guarding forces were put on a high alert after intelligence agencies gave inputs about a merchant vessel, suspected to be involved in the Terror attacks on Mumbai since Wednesday, trying to move towards Karachi in Pakistan.
The forces were, in fact, conducting their routine joint exercises in the general area of the Gujarat coast when they received the intelligence inputs and they immediately diverted their assets for searching the run-away merchant vessel.
"In the evening, Indian ships sighted two ships including the one about which intelligence agencies had given a tip-off," Home Ministry sources said.
The Indian ships apprehended both the cargo ships, which were identified as MV Alpha and MV Al Kabir. Officers of the three forces were ascertaining the credentials of the crew on board the two ships, sources added.

The Navy has pressed warships, choppers and surveillance aircraft to scour high seas in and around Mumbai. It intercepted MV Alpha, a Vietnamese registered ship, but let it pass after a thorough search.
Breaking News! The Indian Navy has detained two ships - 'MV Alpha' and 'Al Kabir' have been detailed at the coast of Okha, Gujarat just a couple of hours ago. The ships were detained following a joint operation conducted by the Indian Navy, Coast Guards and the BSF.
The ships had come to Mumbai from Karachi. The intelligence sources believe that these two ships transported terrorists and speed boats to Mumbai. The captains and crew of the ships are being interrogated. If these ships indeed transported the terrorists to Mumbai, it will be seen as a major maritime intelligence failure for India.
In another development, Amar Singh, the Captain of a Porbandar boat, 'Kuber' was found murdered this evening. Four fishermen, who used to work on 'Kuber' are missing. The Coast Guard has taken control of the ship and searching for the missing fishermen. The security personnel are trying to find out any possible links between the murder of Amar Singh, captain of 'Kuber' and Mumbai terror attack. They believe that terrorists had hijacked Kuber and killed Amar Singh. (Content Copyright: Breaking News Online)

Defence Ministry sources have revealed that a warship had set sail already on its mission to intercept the merchant vessel.
MV Alpha was in Indian waters from November 19 to 26. It had claimed to have come to India from Saudi Arabia and left on November 26 evening, quoting its destination to be Kuwait, sources added.
The cargo ship was last located at 50 nautical miles away from Mumbai coast at 0700 hours today.
‘Very well planned and executed operation’
Also, a Dornier short-range maritime surveillance aircraft each from the Navy and the Coast Guard were flown out of Mumbai and Goa to search for the merchant ship.
The Navy was using its assets from its air station INS Kunjali to block the sea route between India and Pakistan, as it expected the terrorists to use the same ship to flee or to provide reinforcements in the form of men and supplies to the terrorists.
The IAF, on its part, scrambled its Jamnagar-based Jaguar maritime aircraft to patrol the region to look for the merchant vessel.
Terror-hit Mumbai comes to a standstill
The terrorists, Defence Ministry sources said, used three inflatable Zodiac Gemini boats from MV Alpha to reach the shores of Mumbai and launch the attack on 10 landmarks of the economic capital of the country.
Budhwar Park coastal area of Mumbai, sources said, was identified as the point where the terrorists landed, after the security forces recovered the abandoned inflatable boats there.
The terrorists later dispersed into small groups and struck at designated areas that they had surveyed extensively before the attacks, the Minister was told at the meeting.

QUESTIONS IN PUBLIC ARENA ABOUT MUMBAI’S NIGHT OF TERROR - By Ghulam Muhammed

QUESTIONS IN PUBLIC ARENA ABOUT MUMBAI’S NIGHT OF TERROR
1. With death threats against him already on record, why ATS Chief Hemant Karkare exposed himself on the streets of Mumbai as shown by TV clips, putting his safety helmet on? Who shot him? The terrorists or some insider? Had he got his fate sealed with his successes in exposing the hitherto hidden Hindu terrorism side of Hindutva movement in India?
2. How ‘Nariman House’ came into the focus of the terrorists? Why Indian TV Channels refrained from mentioning that the building was a residence of Israeli Jews in India, owned by a Jewish trust, Chabad-Lubavitch, as reported by Jerusalem Post. JP reported: Chabad-Lubavitch fears for the safety of its Mumbai rabbi.
3. Why there was no news of any harm done to either the hostages in the Nariman House or the two five-star Hotels? Why the ‘terrorists’ became so coy in carrying out their ‘mission’. It smacks of some dubious antecedents of the ‘terrorists’.
4. Has the ‘terrorist’ attacks in Mumbai, has some connections with the Delhi elections. It is being reported that BJP was to end up third after Congress and BSP in the elections. If BJP were to do so badly in Delhi elections, they would have to write off their hopes for a come-back in next Lok Sabha elections.
5. Why CNN is connecting a local ‘terrorist’ attack to Al Qaida and making grounds for US/UK/Israel to muscle into the imbroglio as ‘interested parties’, so as to dictate terms on Indian government. Could it be a classic covert operation of entrapment of India?
6. Is India being prepared for a localized war with Pakistan?
The terror attacks in Mumbai bear all the hallmarks of the Lashkar-e-Tayyeba. They were similar to the attack on the Akshardham temple on September 24, 2002, the one in Ayodhya on July 5, 2005, and the one at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh headquarters in Nagpur on June 2, 2006 — all handiwork of the Lashkar, inspired by the Al-Qaeda.
All the attacks were carried out by highly motivated, trained men in the 20- to 25-year age group. The attackers in all the cases were armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles and grenades.
Security personnel said the militants were eating little, consuming mainly almonds, dates and chocolates — as in the previous attacks. They also appeared to have scouted out their targets earlier.
These are all typical of the Lashkar, which carried out the hijacking of Indian Airlines flight IC 814 from Kathmandu to Kandahar.
In Delhi, leaders of India’s security establishment too insisted the terrorists in Mumbai were Lashkar members operating out of Pakistan.
There were intelligence inputs that about a dozen terrorists travelled by sea to Gujarat two days ago and used a fishing vessel to get close to Mumbai. “They then took a motor boat to reach Colaba,” a senior Home Ministry official said.
Special Secretary (Home Ministry) ML Kumawat said the terrorists passed through the fishing colony near Badhwar Park before going to South Mumbai.
"This is not a splinter group like the Indian Mujahideen or one which calls itself Deccan Mujahideen. Given how they targeted Britons and Americans, it seems to be a Qaeda-inspired affair,” an intelligence official said.
Navy officers too said this. "A mother ship or a dhow appears to have ferried them to a point from where they boarded… inflatable boats that can carry about 10 people and run on petrol,” a naval officer said. “We suspect that the mother ship, travelling at 20 nautical miles per hour, could have crossed 400 nautical miles (740 km) by now.”
The Lashkar, meanwhile, denied involvement in the attacks. Abdullah Gaznavi, a spokesperson, said the Lashkar does not operate outside Kashmir. _________________ 'Come and see the violence inherent in the system.

TWO Pakistani merchant vessels have been apprehended off the coast of India following militant attacks in Mumbai, the official Press Trust of India reports.
The agency quoted Home Ministry sources today as saying the ships were stopped off the coast of Gujarat state, just north of Mumbai.
The report came after the Indian navy said it was following up on suspicions that the gunmen who attacked the city, killing at least 125 people, had reached the city by speedboat after being dropped off by a larger ship.
It also comes after Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh said the militants had come from "outside the country" and the military official leading the operation to flush them out explicitly insisted they were from arch-rival Pakistan. _________________ "Talk sense to a fool and he calls you foolish." - Euripides

CIA, MOSSAD HAND BEHIND SANGH PARIVAR'S EXTREMISTS!
Central Intelligence Agencies vigilant investigating in the aftermath of Malegaon blast; Enquiry being held into the February 2007 visit of prominent Israeli religious delegation and meetings with Hindutvadi Sadhu, Sanths and political leaders; Mossad infiltration a cause of deep concern for Intelligence officials
New Delhi, November 25: (Agencies) – According to an exposé in a national daily published from Madhya Pradesh and several other cities, in the aftermath of the arrests of Sadhu, Sadhvi, and other extremist Hindutvadis as involved in the Malegaon bomb blast, Intelligence agencies are now concentrating on foreign connections of the radical Hindutvadis.
In an special report published by the national daily, it has exposed this sensational news that in central intelligence agencies are to be believed, extremist Hindutvadis have got support and motivation from Israeli secret agency, Mossad's operations against the Arab and Muslim countries in the past.
The newspaper writes that relations between Mossad and CIA are world known. Report mentions that intelligence agencies are worried about the infiltration of Mossad and CIA in the country. According to undisclosed sources, Indian intelligence agencies are now examining the full details of the visit of Israel's religious leaders to India and their meetings withSadhu, Sanths. Intelligence agencies are investigating all those Hindu and Muslim leaders that the Israeli religious delegation had met.
According to the newspaper, it was during the rule of BJP's Atul Behari Vajpayee; a beginning was made for the visits of Hindutvadis, and especially Sadhus anddharam gurus of the Sangh Parivar to Israel. These visits have been on the increase. It was during Vajpayee's time, that the visits to Israel and consequently the relations and contacts of Sangh Parivar Dharam gurus and Hindutva leaders with Israelincreased manifold.
According to the newspaper, for last ten years, the central intelligence agencies have been closely studying and analyzing the growing strength of Hindutvadi and Sangh Parivar organisations and the increasing violence through these organisations against Muslims, Christians, and minorities in Gujarat,Orissa, Karnataka and other states. Intelligence agencies have disclosed that the visits of Jews and Israeli rabbis was not very frequent in the past, but it has increased to worrisome proportions, during last few years. Of all, the most studied is the February 2007 visit to Delhi of the delegation of Israeli Jewish religious leaders. The delegation was headed byIsrael's Chief Rabbi, Yonah Metzger.
In this delegation, Jewish religious leaders from Israelas well as others rabbis from Belgium and Spain too were included. In India, the Israel Jewish religious delegation met important Hindutva leaders, which included especially the RSS Chief K. S. Sudharshan, President of VHP, Ashok Singhal, VHP leader Vishnu Hari Dalmia.
After the meeting of the Sadhu Sanths and Jewish leaders, both delegations had issued a common manifesto.
In this meeting, Jewish Rabbis expressed grave concern over the details of the terrorist attacks allegedly carried out by Muslims, as narrated by Hindu dharam gurus. Secret Service sources disclosed that at the invitation of Israeli Jewish religious leaders, a delegation of Hindutva leaders had visited Israel this year. In this, some leaders of Sangh Parivar too were included.
The national daily, published from Madhya Pradesh and other places, in its report has exposed that the officials of the national intelligence agencies have categorically stated that American secret service agency, CIA together with Israel's secret organisation Mossad, has carried out several secret operation all over Asia.
And now that the bomb blast of Malegaon and Modasa had involved the names of the fake Shankaracharya Amaranand alias Dayanand Pande, Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, enquiries and investigation of relations between Jewish and Hindutva religious leaders from Israel and India are being severely felt and is being analyzed. This was disclosed by the newspaper report.

Why investigation of Israeli connection of Hindutvadis?
New Delhi, November 25: The way ATS has arrested Hindutva extremists belonging to Sangh Parivar, in connection with Malegaon bomb blast, facts have emerged of international networking and support to Hindutva radicals. This has alarmed national intelligence community. India's internal and external intelligence agencies and RAW have got busy trying to figure out if there is some big international conspiracy is being hatched behind the activities of hardline extremists of Sangh Parivar.
According to secret sources, back in February 2007, an Israeli delegation headed by Israel's Chief Rabbi, Yonah Metzger, and accompanied by several high ranking Jewish religious leaders, had visited India. This Jewish Religious delegation held meetings with many Sadhus, Sanths and Dharam gurus.
The delegation also met some Muslim leaders. Now intelligence agencies have started investigations of the meetings of the Israeli delegation and local Sadhus, Sanths and dharam gurus. It is mentioned that the delegation of Israeli Jewish religious leaders has met leaders and dharam gurus from RSS, Sangh Parivar, VHP and BJP. Lal Krishna Advani had arranged a dinner for the visiting Israeli Jewish religious leaders' delegation and others included in the delegation, at his own residence.
According to high official, though the meeting of Sangh Parivar's leaders to Israeli delegation is not of undue importance, but the way America's secret service, CIA and Israel's secret agency, Mossad, are infiltrating in Central Asian and South Asian countries, it is giving strength to the suspicions that in such delegations, members of foreign intelligence get included and through interaction and infiltration, secret operations are carried out.
Those organisations that organise and support such visits and meetings, may or may not be aware of the secret mission of foreign agencies, the truth can come out only on investigations. For this reason, the national agencies are now concentrating on investigation of Sangh Parivar and its connections with Israeli lobby and Mossad.

Mossad uses these extremmists for terrorist acts that are eventually blamed on muslims.
The Israelis have convinced the hindu extremists that they can help wipe Islam from India and since the muslims of India are mostly law abiding citizens the Israelis have concocted these terror plots to generate hate for muslims and start a secretarian incident in which the muslims are too out numbered.
This is sad for India-because in the end citizens of India will be hurt, which will hurt India as a country.
Hindus and muslims must both join hands against these evil forces to protect India.
The Israelis want muslims weakened all over the world-it would love a nuclear confrontation between India and Pakistan. A prospect that could lead to the annilation of Pakistan but India could be destroyed too....but the Israelis really don't care. They're our friends as long as they can use us after that we're on our own.

Peace to all beings.
There are good and bad in all races.
As regards the perpetrators of terrorist actions sometimes they are caused by little people with some religious or poloitical fanatical objective. Often they are caused by Big people (States) with cynical geo-poolitical objectives, sometimes using small teams of dupes who have their own sub-agendas [maybe in this case kill Harkare to send a message never to investigate Hindu false-flag terrorist extremism] which nest in the bigger picture agendas of the Powerful [maybe in this case 'War on/OF Terror' CIA/Mossad destabilisation of Pakistan/Muslim world now that new Pakistan government doesn't take orders so smoothly from CIA; also weakening and eventual dismemberment of the allies of Russia/China.]
The finding of credit cards is a big weird thing; the bothering to kill people in a hospital is clearly designed to cause max outrage; the real or merely alleged targetting of US and UK citizens could also be pointer. The finding of the speedboats (why 3 for ten men???) could be massive redherring???
Maybe it IS 'Islamic'-fanatic terrorism, with or probably without Pakistani state collusion??
Maybe it is CIA-Mossad-RSS/Sangh Parwar co-operation??
If we can't keep a genuinely open mind and look at everyt next fact or theory without wanting X to be true or fearing that Y might be true, etc, then we should quit impaertial political investigation and stay home to dream up novels.
To be sure hatred and prejudice against any ethnic group can only destabilise our minds and throw us off the scent.
Peace to all beings.

"I ran into the first carriage of one of the trains on the platform to try and get a shot but couldn't get a good angle, so I moved to the second carriage and waited for the gunmen to walk by," he said. "They were shooting from waist height and fired at anything that moved. I briefly had time to take a couple of frames using a telephoto lens. I think they saw me taking photographs but they didn't seem to care." The gunmen were terrifyingly professional, making sure at least one of them was able to fire their rifle while the other reloaded. By the time he managed to capture the killer on camera, Mr D'Souza had already seen two gunmen calmly stroll across the station concourse shooting both civilians and policemen, many of whom, he said, were armed but did not fire back. "I first saw the gunmen outside the station," Mr D'Souza said. "With their rucksacks and Western clothes they looked like backpackers, not terrorists, but they were very heavily armed and clearly knew how to use their rifles.

The Independent has learnt that secret executions are being carried out in the prisons run by Nouri al-Maliki's "democratic" government. The hangings are carried out regularly – from a wooden gallows in a small, cramped cell – in Saddam Hussein's old intelligence headquarters at Kazimiyah. There is no public record of these killings in what is now called Baghdad's "high-security detention facility" but most of the victims – there have been hundreds since America introduced "democracy" to Iraq – are said to be insurgents, given the same summary justice they mete out to their own captives.

MUST SEE VIDEOS: Terrorist Attack in Mumbai India, What is really going on? Target Pakistan, China, Russia
The Mumbai Massacre
Updated 11-29-08 1:30 PM CST
When I first heard of the terror attacks in Mumbai, my first thought was, "Where the heck is Mumbai?" When it became apparent it was a carefully coordinated mujahadeen attack, my next thought was, "Why the heck Mumbai?"
I answered both questions when I looked up Mumbai. "Mumbai" used to be "Bombay" before being renamed back in 1996. Bombay was the colonial name imposed by the Portuguese in the 16th century. Mumbai was the traditional name of the port city.
In any case, I can see now why Bombay was selected.
Mumbai [Bombay] is the capital of Maharashtra and the financial capital of India in the sense that New York City is the financial capital of the US.
With a population approaching fourteen million, it is one of the world's most populous cities.
Mumbai is one of the world's top ten financial centers in terms of global financial 'flow' and serves as corporate headquarters for scores of multinational corporations.
(If you've ever called Dell tech support or Microsoft, odds are that the frustratingly unintelligible person at the other end is sitting in a cubicle somewhere in [Bombay] Mumbai)
The siege was finally declared over by the Indian government on Saturday (local time) as the last of the terrorists were gunned down. Although the terrorists paid special attention to Westerners, particularly Britons and Americans, most the the dead were Indian nationals gunned down in their own city.
About eighteen foreign nationals, including five Americans, were killed and another 22 were wounded. The toll of dead and injured, (at the time of this report - the toll is likely to rise) stands at 162 dead and 283 wounded.
Target is Pakistan, according to U.S. policies it must be dealt with, because it is a nuclear power and strategic partner of China. China and Russia are real targets, because that's where the real power lies in. India, Pakistan, et al, are tools with which those targets will be acquired. Behind terrorist attacks in Mumbai is the United States. Don't be surprised, on September 11 2001 U.S. killed its own people to achieve several goals.
The resistance movement in the United States is strong and gaining momentum. But we need your help. These movies need to be uploaded (and translated) to reach audiences in India, Pakistan, China, Russia, Sweden, Austria, France, and other countries. Upload these clips to sites similar to youtube where people of those countries watch news.

How very, very convenient!
By far the most interesting of that lot to me.
I wouldn't be suprised if a friend of Miliband's actually planned the Mumbai attack.
And of course this... Jaqui Smith zomboid moron, destroyer of all things good is at the helm again!
Pakistan rejects UK proposal on terror war 28 Nov 2008 Pakistan rejects a British proposal for joint military operations against 'al-Qaeda' and Taliban militants on its soil near Afghan border. British Foreign Secretary David Miliband suggested that Pakistani army must launch a joint drive with the US and British forces to flush out the militants from its troubled tribal region bordering Afghanistan, Press TV correspondent reported Friday. However, Pakistan's military leadership and civilian leaders turned down the demand and instead urged the US-led coalition forces in Afghanistan to respect Islamabad's sovereignty.
