would said person care to justify this?

Tony I think he is only pointing out the Gestapo point.

Actually no,

Gestapo refers to something in history we all know. Figurative and allegorical.

Mossad is an existing Intelligence Agency for which one must have some evidence to pin a particular contemporary crime on.

I'm quite sure German people don't need reminding of the past.
There was a deep silence in Germany when Iron Maiden came on stage to a certain Churchill speech.
Luckily the music saved them Plus their modern stance has a leaning towards not fighting wars for the elites

Surely the 'Gestapo' meme is like the ancient truth which held that the world was flat. Once that 'truth' was shown to be false, it was allowed to wither on the vine. All of the accompanying fears about falling off the edge dissipated. The Gestapo are no longer a malignant presence, and more likely to be seen and presented as a slapstick farcical figure of defeat.
However the mossad are a very present malignant force, who incidentally are quite likely to seek to preserve the Gestapo 'meme' for their own ends.
We know that Israeli companies have inveigled themselves into UK transportation networks as 'security' operators and so the term 'mossad watch' is a useful tool which can also serve to remind us of their malignant presence as well as to be aware of and to observe their present escalating manoeuvres in this country.

Well by that token you may as well say people shouldn't make comparisons with current foreign policy antics and imperialism as we don't need reminding of our past.
Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it as the saying goes.
Besides, it's not targeted at Germans. Though personally I reckon I could well live with any elderly former Gestapo officers who may happen to read this forum being annoyed.
I don't know what all the fuss is about - I kinda think no-one would care about potentially upsetting Germans if we had threads called "Stasi watch".
The point keeps being made about misleading thread titles - if someone started a thread called "MOSSAD watch" that provided clear evidence of MOSSAD activities I can't see anyone would have a problem, and I doubt it would get changed in case it happened to upset any Israelis.

Nice faux pas from Iron Maiden though.
