SAYS LAWYER AT SUSSEX EVENT

A peace activist and top lawyer specialising in war believes that international law should be used to stop future ‘illegal' conflicts, such as the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, a view he will share at the Lewes All Saints Centre on 24th February for the Changing Times organisation.
Chris Coverdale of ‘Make Wars History' states that legal cases could legitimately be brought against Western countries responsible for unlawful conflicts and war crimes.
Chris says: ‘At least one million people, including 300,000 children, have died violently in the wars with Iraq and Afghanistan. This mass-murder of innocent people, killed solely because they were citizens of those countries is a crime of genocide and the worst atrocity in British history. Not only must the killing of innocent children be stopped, but the perpetrators of these atrocities must answer for their war crimes in court.'
The presentation will explore the case against Western leaders for genocide, while exposing corrupt practices in the British legal system that create loopholes for warmongers. Chris will also inform the audience as to what they can do to help establish justice and peace.
‘Making Wars History' takes place on Tuesday 24 February 2009 at the All Saints Centre, Friars Walk, Lewes, at 7.45pm. Admission £5, tickets on the door only. |

Is Chris Coverdale a top Lawyer ? At the Liverpool meet he was being asked awkward questions by an unknown press man about his failed business interests. I might have missed what Chris said but i didnt know he was a top lawyer.
That aside it was an interesting talk but it sort of left you not knowing what you can do about makingwars history.
