MP expenses? It’s just the tip of the iceberg!

Hundreds of ordinary people from the USA, UK and mainland Europe will assemble at the Alternative View (AV2) conference being held at the Thistle Hotel, London Heathrow, over the weekend of 29, 30 & 31 May. As the name of the event suggests, the conference is designed to give people a chance to hear the views of independent-minded scientists and researchers. These are experts who have had the courage to question orthodox dogma and challenge received wisdom. The conference is headlined by Hawaii-based natural health campaigner Dr Leonard G Horowitz, author of over twenty books, including ‘Emerging Viruses: AIDS & Ebola, Nature, Accident or Intentional’ (published in 1986) and the remarkably prescient ‘Death in the Air: Globalism, Terrorism & Toxic Warfare’, published just four months prior to the defining events of 9/11. Part of his presentations will see Dr Horowitz sharing his research into the true origins of the recent Swine flu ‘pandemic’.

Dr Horowitz is supported by Dr Arpad Pusztai, famously fired from his job, on the orders of Tony Blair, after 30 years as a Research Scientist at the Rowett Institute, as a direct result of appearing in a 1998 ‘World in Action’ documentary, during which he questioned the safety of GM foods. Dr Pusztai’s wife and Research Partner Susan Bardocz, Professor of Nutrition at the University of Debrecen in Hungary, will also be presenting her own concerns for the long-term effects of GM foods on Human health.

On the Sunday evening of the conference, the legendary Professor David Bellamy, the ‘Botanic Man’ himself, will delight the audience with his take on the politicised dogma of anthropogenic (man-made) climate change; a stance which effectively brought his 30 year association with the BBC to an end. Professor Bellamy says: “I worry about the direction we are taking when experienced and established scientists are prevented from presenting their research, purely because the hypotheses do not support the prevailing political dogma.”

Also appearing will be David Halpin, a retired orthopaedic surgeon who now runs the Dove and Dolphin charity, providing educational and medical resources to the people of Palestine. Mr Halpin had a “near death experience” as a crew member on board the aid delivery ship ‘Liberty’, when it was rammed by the Israeli Navy 50 miles off the coast of Gaza last December.

Other speakers will address issues such as the increasing attacks on press freedom, the undemocratic transfer of power from Westminster to Brussels, and the potential significance of the year 2012 - the year of the London Olympics.

Event organiser Ian R Crane said, “People are finally beginning to realise that something is not quite right in the world. If they want to know the score, there’s only one place to be over the weekend of May 29-31”.
