"Journalistic Made Up Frenzy" to quote Stephen Fry
This MPs expenses affair seems entirely made-up to me.
All these details were supposed to be private weren't they?
Then they're leaked to the Torygraph.
Public opinion sounded out in constituencies of the worst offenders.
We've had calls for the speaker to resign and for a general election from the BBC's big gun Nick Robinson.
Why might the corporate media be turning its guns on Westminster?

A valid remark.
The shame is that it's so easy to discredit the political class.

What Brian Eno called 'Propagenda'.
Definately a PsyOp
A contorted and contrived distraction from the banking rip-off
And the Nazi revelatons about the EU
almost all expenses are within the rules
the 'fees office' should carry the can

I should imagine all faith in the crooks, frauds and robbers in parliament has been undermined. On the surface, good, that's what we knew appalling little harridans like Hazel Bleeaarrrgghhs were all about as much as the Tory grandees with their moats and such
These financial crimes pale in comparison with their far greater supine craven complicity in war crimes, genocide, mass murder and so on.
Still, far easier to get the public on board
The easier to wipe away this heinous snakepit of corruption, and take on board the EU, even more of a self-feeding gravy train, and eventually the UN
One world order by clean enlightened individuals?
Please

And and and indeed! Such a blatantly stupid smokescreen that appears to be having the opposite effect to that which the Noo Whirled Ordure intended (paving the way for the BNP/OWNparty.org mob, perhaps?).

It is even waking the somnolent, judging by the average of tones on MSM comment pages. It's almost as if the bought and paid for journalists are issuing a plea for help from their bilderberg entanglement, the way front pages are now so plastered with disinfo and distraction.

Let us make maximum use of every MSM outlet in these last months of free-speech web - even if it does feel like papering a hallway through the letterbox!

It's worth noting that, according to the article from last week's Mail on Sunday, which I've copied below, "Suspicion over the expenses leak centres on the printing plant that was the focus of the investigation into the leaking of the Hutton Report."

The leaking of the Hutton Report one day early was particularly curious for its own reasons. As has been pointed out, earlier on the day of that leak, "Drs. C. Stephen Frost and David Halpin (together with Dr Searle Sennett) succeeded in breaking the mainstream media silence on the possibility that Dr David Kelly did not commit suicide, by having a letter published in The Guardian on 27 January 2004." This letter "directly led to the splash headline 'Was Dr Kelly Murdered?' in The Evening Standard later the same day, though the doctors had not suggested that. Later that evening, despite unprecedentd security to prevent such a leak, the Hutton Report was duly leaked to the Sun. Thus, instead of The Evening Standard headline becoming the main story in the mainstream media the next day (the very day on which the Hutton Report was published), the leak to The Sun became the main story. MPs' EXPENSES: Did leak come from the same mole who revealed Hutton Report?
By Glen Owen
Mail on Sunday, 10 May 2009

Suspicion over the expenses leak centres on the printing plant that was the focus of the investigation into the leaking of the Hutton Report.

If police become involved they will almost certainly visit the Parliamentary Press in Bermondsey, South London, which is normally used to print official reports and legislation.

More than 1.2million receipts submitted by MPs were sent to the plant to be 'digitised' and put on a CD-Rom

The work, which has so far cost taxpayers an estimated £2million, was meant to have been carried out under tight security, given that the receipts include MPs' addresses and bank-account details.

The same plant fell under suspicion in 2004 when The Sun newspaper leaked the findings of Lord Hutton's report into the death of scientist David Kelly. Officials were convinced the newspaper had received a copy from a printer, but an investigation failed to pinpoint the source.

Scotland Yard is deciding whether to mount a criminal investigation into how the expenses information fell into the hands of The Daily Telegraph. A spokesman said: 'We are still considering a request to investigate this matter but no decision will be made over the weekend.'

The Stationery Office, which runs the Parliamentary Press, insisted it had already conducted an exhaustive security sweep of its premises.

'The Stationery Office is renowned for having the most robust security system in the world in our market and all our staff are thoroughly vetted and screened,' a spokesman said.

'When it was reported a month ago that an individual was trying to sell confidential information about MPs' expenses we launched a thorough investigation, assisted by an independent outside organisation.'

Several newspapers - not including The Mail on Sunday - were offered the CD before the Telegraph acquired it. The Sunday Express is believed to have obtained its revelation about Jacqui Smith claiming for pornographic films by viewing the CD, and then reneging on a promise to pay.

Enraged, the leaker - described by one of those involved as 'a complete amateur' - then offered the information to other titles on condition that they gave him £10,000 upfront.

When negotiations broke down with one tabloid paper ten days ago, the leaker, or a representative, is said to have called the Telegraph. A source said the paper quickly agreed to pay him £70,000, substantially less than the £300,000 he had first demanded a month ago.

The Telegraph has refused to discuss whether it paid for the information. The Sunday Express was contacted for comment but had not responded by the time of publication.

Persistent nagging question.....'why is all this happening?'

.......Why would The Telegraph, of all establishment propagandists, trash the reputation of parliament in this extreme manner?

I don't get it.

Is this a message to sitting or would-be MP's...."Take note. We can do what we like to you. Read the signs and take your orders"?

Is it a further exercise in socially engineered conditioned-helplessness perpetrated against the public at large?
(In a few months time when this scandal has passed away and nothing meaningful has changed then even more people will give up on the very idea that they can bring any influence to bear over their own lives)

Is it a distraction to divert attention away from financial issues and corporate/banking skulduggery that are much more serious? The sums involved in MP's expenses fiddles really are quite trivial in relation to many issues related to the corporate takeover of state functions.....the 'Private Finance Initiative' for instance. A friend of mine is a deputy head at a school having work done through the PFI scheme. Here's just a detail. The government have written into contracts that when work is completed the PFI contracter will employ the IT systems manager (and others). PFI would not be driven below £650 per day for this employee, as the 'going rate'. Currently the school employs their own man at £100 per day including PAYE. You can be sure that the PFI company will pay their man no more than the school would. This is one atom of a racket that can be multiplied by an extremely large number across the country and in many areas besides education.

The 'Quango'/consultancy racket is the gravy train of gravy trains....

....but dwarfing even these obscenities is the new bubble being created by the Bank of England (and moreso in the USA by its cousin, the Federal Reserve) whereby money is being 'printed' and thrown at the (literally) bankrupt criminal zombie banks to keep them afloat in the short term.

When this bubble bursts, as it must, currencies will completely collapse and the only way the financial establishment will be able to save themselves will be to find a way of starting a very big war.

Maybe the rage against MP's today will be maintained as a simmering bubbling discontent for some months to come and it will appear, in retrospect, that our attention and emotions have been misdirected.

.....only guessing.

Yup, it's an engineered political crisis.
The 'right major' one maybe?
And now this - Dizzy Lizzie doesn't seem to have noticed that bankers just pulled off a bigger, by several orders of magnitude, rip-off.

The Queen tells Brown of grave concern over MPs' expenses
....Details of their conversation - which covered the vital need to restore trust in Parliament - came to light as:

* The identities of the shadowy figures who leaked the MPs' expenses were revealed.
* Speaker Michael Martin told friends he is ready to quit.
* A shock new poll put the anti-EU UKIP on course to overtake Labour in next month's European elections.
* Public demands for criminal charges against at least five expenses-cheat MPs grew.
* Labour's overall poll rating fell to yet another all-time historic low - just 20 per cent.
* A Labour MP was discovered to have claimed £125,000 expenses for a run-down garage via his 'office' expenses.
* Another Labour MP was suspended for claiming £13,000 for a mortgage that had been paid off.

It is sheer entertainment though, isn't it?
Like most people think, it isn't surprising, the absurd levels of absolute banana republic corruption is quite something to marvel at
While most aware people scorned MPs as at best servile submissive impotent snots, the degree to which they were personally willing to feather their nests is surprising
I guess in so far as the Telegraph is the favourite reading material of MI5/6, it was the one to accept the much offered material,as in accord with the secret government's plan
We should be glad that this stuff has emerged if we are willing to take the initiative on this, much as the BNP has
Perhaps some "Truth" candidates in the forthcoming general election campaign might be worth a thought

I haven't figured out why it's happening, but it does seem to follow a familiar pattern:

1. Regulation reduced
2. Regulatory body messes up
3. Chaos
4. Media frenzy
5. State jumps in to save the day

All but 5 seem to have happened.

The last time something like this happened Oliver Cromwell dissolved parliament. I get worried when people start talking about reducing the number of MPs. I don't see the logic of that anyway.

The effect of all this, however, has been to discredit Parliament. Things could now go one of two ways: to reduce the scope of Parliament, or to fight back and reestablish Parliament as a democratic institution.

Exactly, kbo. Yet Europe is looking good, if you discount large-scale, high-level bankruptcy and other arm-twisting by Bilderberger Prodi, Sarkozy for the looks of it and Berlusconi to keep the mafia happy. There doesn't seem to be the same depth of social collapse now being experienced in Blighted. Maybe it's because most are oblivious to Anglo-american wall-to-wall gloom and doom?

They will already have 'found a way' by throwing millions of bewildered people below the breadline, sufficiently starved, scared and looking for a scapegoat. Then up comes a brand shiny new 'recruitment campaign' for cannon-fodder. Pure Smedley-Butler for the nookleah age..

The shambles in Parliament is diversionary at best. BNP at worst.[/code]

Major development with this story - blink and you'll have probably missed this. Story of how the contents of a stolen hard drive ended up in the Tories' 'house newspaper'.
MPs' expenses: how scoop came to light – and why journalists fear a 'knock on the door'
The Daily Telegraph's exclusive was offered to at least three other papers by shadowy figure described as a 'rank amateur'
