Is Jesus Really God?
Scholars examine the facts about Jesus' claims to be God

Have you ever met somebody with such personal magnetism that he/she is always the center of attention? Possibly his/her personality or intelligence---but something about him/her is enigmatic. Well, that’s the way it was two thousand years ago with Jesus Christ. |

Quote: | Great Moral Teacher?
Almost all scholars acknowledge that Jesus was a great moral teacher. In fact, his brilliant insight into human morality is an accomplishment recognized even by those of other religions. In his book Jesus of Nazareth, Jewish scholar Joseph Klausner wrote, “It is universally admitted … that Christ taught the purest and sublimest ethics … which throws the moral precepts and maxims of the wisest men of antiquity far into the shade.”1 |

OK
this goes on and on. Until...
Quote: | The Islamic martyrs on September 11 proved that some will die for a false cause they believe in. Yet to be a willing martyr for a known lie is insanity. As Paul Little wrote, “Men will die for what they believe to be true, though it may actually be false. They do not, however, die for what they know is a lie.”24 Jesus’ disciples behaved in a manner consistent with a genuine belief that their leader was alive. |

Quote: | Great Moral Teacher? |
In his book "More Than A Carpenter",Josh Mcdowell makes the arguement that Jesus was either Lord (as he claimed) , a liar, or a lunatic.
To be considered a great moral teacher he couldnt be classed as a liar.
Deity of Christ is rooted as much in the Old Testament prophecies and teaching prior to his coming in the flesh as it is in the New Testament.
However Christ taught that a spiritual rebirth was required in order to dispel the blindness that the "god" of ths world (Devil) has kept people in and to see Christ for who he is. He also taught that a turning away (confesion to God and repentance) from sin (those things which keep us from fulfilling Gods potential) was necessary to help restore the factory settings. To maintain a right relationship with our creator once factory settings restored requires many anti virus checks and defragging of the hard drive but thankfully, according to the New Testament, Christs work on the cross and shedding of blood provides the cleaning software ! A poor analogy but best i can do _________________ JO911B.

LOL - Liberation Computerology? ;-)
As a teacher Jesus has very few peers; however, mankind in general does not view Him as the only pathway to spiritual enlightenment. There lies the rub ... endless hierarchic squabbles ... and endless wars.
