At 2pm today Darren Pollard was arrested for for "breach of the peace" whilst reciting Alex Jones famous Waking Life speech whilst using a bullhorn/megaphone in Birmingham City Centre.
Call West Midlands police and ask to be put through to Steel House Lane Police Station and ask for Darrens release. 08451135000
The arresting officer when questioned on film admitted that there were not 2 witnesses or complainants of breach of the peace.

Agree with you Paul. This bike cop seemed very media savvy and polite with it. Wouldnt mind being arrested by this sort of cop.(if i ever have to be arrested that is-- not on my CV ay present)

Coming from an era where having nothing wrong but long hair, a guitar, and a 'Frendz' 'n' 'Oz' inspired attitude (I was very, pre-school leaving age young) warranted at least mild weekly harrassment (including alleged blasphemy - crumbs!) and a couple of nights/days per year being held in cells (with never any formal charges from law enforcement - including many, I might add, equal displays of sincere concern from same), sometimes moderated, if at all by nowt except my then future and ex-wife to be ... kinda reminds me of that classic Four Yorkshiremen sketch.
To this day Ive often wondered what my 'rap sheet' looks like.
(Given that I've since successfully passed police checks required for working for child-related Authories twice during the intervening 30 years since).
