Uzbek government whistleblower Ikram Yakubov and Britain's Ambassador at the time Craig Murray have both reported that this multiple bomb attack was a false flag carried out by the Uzbek military.

The government immediately blamed the attacks on the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU)

Watchd it. It's a really good feeling to see it reported on the BBC that the Tashkent bombings were false flag - I reported that to the FCO at the time, but Ministers simply recycled the Uzbek government propaganda repeatedly in parliament.

A significant development, I think. I watched it last night. I thought the Uzbek guy was very credible for the most part, though I reckon he was, very understandably, lying when he denied he had actually committed or ordered torture. I don't imagine he'll survive long, but he seemed to be ready to die.
