|
|
Hi,
just a couple of questions from up North (Norway) about the alledged 7/7 Inquiry, that was announced on this year's anniversary:
1. Who will sit on the board?
2. Who will lead or direct it?
3. Will it follow the infamous 2005 Inquiries Act?
Thanks, _________________ > this is a crisis i knew had to come

I wish, however I'm afraid, (unless you know something not generally known) there was no announcement. Perhaps there is some confusion with the inquiry announcement with regard to British involvement in the Iraq war. |

Here's what I wrote back in July:
Vi kan starte med 7/7 - Londonbombene - der et minnesmerke ble avduket i Hyde Park igår. Samtidig erklærte lederen for Innenrikskomiteen - House of Commons Home Affairs Committee - Keith Vaz ifølge Associated Press, The Telegraph, Ananova og en rekke andre medier at et panel vil ta fatt på en ny og mer omfattende granskning av 7/7-terrorbombingene. _________________ > this is a crisis i knew had to come

My apologies.
Quote: | The unveiling of the memorial came as Keith Vaz MP, chairman of the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee, said they would "embark on a new inquiry into the 7/bombings". Mr Vaz said MPs would begin by looking at how Cobra, the Cabinet Office's emergency committee, responded to the attacks. |
Re your initial question - who will sit ..

The remit of the inquiry proposed does not extend to examining evidence regarding the perpetrators of the attack and therefore can be little more than a placation directed towards victims relatives with the acquiescence of a establishment media. It is possible that a member of security services may break ranks and expose the charade that has been presented to the public. I personally will not be holding my breath however. |

Thanks, Pugwash.
Having never actually lived in the UK, I know little of how these things work.
So the 7/7 Inquiry will basically consist of these here 14 MPs? I.e either left-leaning zionists or right-leaning zionists? Very reassuring, indeed...
Well, thanks anyway. As you, I won't hold my breath.
But is there anything we or J7 can do to increase the likeliness of a REAL independent and FULL inquiry? I feel it is now or never... _________________ > this is a crisis i knew had to come

How about we hold a parallel shadow inquiry at the same time as the Vaz thing, informing the public, communicating press releases with the media etc?
I guess J7 Truth etc already have their plans for this Autumn, but I'm just throwing it in there. Would be a shame to miss such a great opportunity for media & public attention.
PS: Saw some of the Vaz clips on YouTube. Seems they call him «Vaz the Ass», hehe... So Tony, this is the UK's version of Kissinger-as-9/11-commision-chief, eh? _________________ > this is a crisis i knew had to come

I watched the parliamentary debate about the setting up of the Iraq inquiry. As I recall it, the following had helpful things to say:
Geoffry Cox (Conservative)
Adam Price (Plaid Cymru)
George Galloway (Respect)
Claire Sort (Independent)
Menzies Campbell (Liberal Democrat)
The most negative voice was
Michael Mates (Conservative)
I can't recall in any detail what each said but it'll all be in Hansard. |

Hi,
it finally seems there is something happening at Westminster that looks like some sort of 7/7 inquiry.
My Google Reader picked up this story Sunday 2009-10-25 on my feed for 'Andy Hayman':
Terror cop quiz threat
Quote: | ScOTland Yard's former counter terror chief andy Hayman faces a summons to appear before MPs.
They want the top cop, who led operations after the 7/7 bombings in 2005, to co-operate with their inquiry into tackling terror. But Mr Hayman, a major critic of the Government who quit in 2007, has so far refused to attend - which is a contempt of Parliament.
Select committee chairman Keith Vaz said: "He has no need to hide but we may get him summoned."
Mr Hayman was angered by a legal ban on his memoirs.
That has been lifted and his agent said: "I'm sure his position will have changed now." |

Something IS happening at the House of Commons:

I eagle eyed "The Terrorist hunters" in a local Waterstones so I bought it. Nothing too controversial so far though I am not too sure about the bus bomb.
He has emphasised in one passage the dynamics of bomb blasts and has alleged that Al-Qaeda tested bombs to optimise the number of injuries and argues this why some passengers on the bus didn't get much of a scratch while others were killed instantly. Hence his claims for something like this:
