As someone who was on the receiving end of copious amounts of lies and bullshít from the forum member who named himself (appropriately, it could be argued) after the imbecilic character from Dad's Army, I am curious to know why he was finally banned.
Unlike him, I never feigned injury in order to persuade the referee to red card other players - to extrapolate his tiresome 'play the man not the ball' metaphor - though he frequently attempted to have myself and others banned.
Whilst I would never actively advocate anybody being banned, I'm not sorry to see this person on the receiving end of the treatment he actively sought for others. _________________ flamesong.com • newsviewscomment.com |

Well, that doesn't come as much of a surprise, he has been doing it habitually for at least four years - though nothing was ever done and the PMs are still visible on the forum.
It's hardly mitigating but it has been observed over the years that the man is a virtual illiterate when it comes to anything to do with the internet, especially vis a vis the ancient (in web terms) rules of etiquette. Logic and critical thinking were not his strong suits either. _________________ flamesong.com • newsviewscomment.com |

Still, I don't think it's particularly appropriate to pursue a personal vendetta here, Alf |

It was me who was on the receiving end of his particularly nasty malice for the last four years. As I just said, I never asked for him to be banned, even when he was publishing personal details, private messages and general bullshít about me on here - most of which remains!
I was simply curious what straw had finally broken the camel's back. _________________ flamesong.com • newsviewscomment.com |
