This is a cold and calculated move by Netanyahu.
A decision to commit an act of war on NATO 'ally' Turkey made while he was in Washington because he needed to be sure of the US line, ie a little talk but no action.
Exactly Tony does this sh@te of our times not at least give you cause to question who or what led to the beginning of WW2? After all the Zionists certainly managed to steal highly coveted land into the bargain!

GAZA (Reuters) - Egypt opened its border with the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, letting Palestinians cross until further notice amid a storm of international criticism of Israel's blockade of the enclave, officials

JERUSALEM (AP) — Pro-Palestinian activists said Tuesday they had sent another boat to challenge the Gaza blockade as Israel faced outrage abroad and questions at home over its botched raid on an aid flotilla in international waters that ended with soldiers killing nine activists.
The raid provoked the most ferocious international condemnation of Israel since its war with the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip a year and a half ago and appeared likely to increase pressure to end its blockade that has deepened the poverty of the 1.5 million Palestinians living in the strip. The U.N. Security Council condemned the "acts" that resulted in the deaths and called for an impartial investigation.
Greta Berlin of the Free Gaza Movement, which organized the flotilla, said another cargo boat was off the coast of Italy en route to Gaza. A second boat carrying about three dozen passengers is expected to join it, Berlin said. She said the two boats would arrive in the region late this week or early next week.
"This initiative is not going to stop," she said from the group's base in Cyprus. "We think eventually Israel will get some kind of common sense. They're going to have to stop the blockade of Gaza, and one of the ways to do this is for us to continue to send the boats."

Israel Kidnaps 700, including former high Reagan official, decorated Navy Veteran
According to reports, Israeli forces attacking a six-ship aid convoy to Gaza, killing approximately 16-20, are forcing all six ships to Israel in an act of international piracy, abducting over 700 civilians from around the world.
Among those abducted in the attack on the humanitarian flotilla is Ambassador Edward Peck, who was Deputy Director of the Cabinet Task Force on Terrorism at the Reagan White House and State Department Liaison Officer to the Joint Chiefs of Staff at the Pentagon.
After retirement Ambassador Peck was Executive Secretary of the American Academy of Diplomacy. Ambassador Peck also served as a paratrooper during two tours of wartime active duty and spent 32 years in the Foreign Service, including Chief of Mission in Iraq.
Also abducted by Israeli forces is former Navy signalman Joe Meadors. Meadors, a resident of Texas, is a decorated veteran and a survivor of the Israeli attack on the USS Liberty, which killed 34 Americans and injured 174. Meadors is a former president of the USS Liberty Veterans Association, which seeks an investigation into the attack.
Other Americans believed to have been kidnapped in the Israeli assault are:
Paul Larudee of El Cerrito, CA, a former Fullbright Scholar in Lebanon and currently a piano tuner and co-founder of the Free Palestine Movement, who also co-founded The Free Gaza Movement, the movement that first broke the siege of Gaza in 2008.
Gene St. Onge, an Oakland, CA-based civil/structural engineer and former Peace Corp Volunteer, who is working with Palestinian engineers to rebuild housing destroyed in Israel's 2009 invasion of Gaza.
Janet Kobren, a retired math teacher, San Francisco Bay Area resident, and co-founder of the FPM.
Others participating in the flotilla include Nobel laureate Mairead Corrigan Maguire from Northern Ireland and a number of European legislators.
In addition to the deaths, Israeli forces are reported to have injured over 60 of the aid participants. It is unknown how many are in critical condition or permanently disabled.

Just imagine if these were Iranian commandos attacking a multinational, six-boat aid flotilla in international waters. The United States, the European Union and Israel would instantly make sure to shock and awe Iran to kingdom come.

Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan called Israel's raid on Gaza-bound ships carrying civilians and humanitarian aid as a bloody massacre which deserved every kind of curse.
Speaking at parliamentary group meeting of his Justice & Development (AK Party), Erdogan said, "two bloody attacks were staged at the darkest hours of Monday night. One of them was an act of terror on a naval base in southern Turkey. Six troops were killed and seven others were injured. The second one was a predawn attack in the Mediterranean Sea which led to one of the heaviest blows on conscience of the humanity."
"Aid ships were intercepted by force and brutality. The ships loaded with mercy and affection were prevented from reaching their destination. Israeli armed forces illegally attacked the flotilla carrying 600 people from 32 countries and humanitarian aid to Gazan people, and killed innocent people," he said.
Erdogan said that they harshly condemned the inhuman attack on ships carrying civilians including women, children and religious officials from different faiths.
"This bloody massacre by Israel on ships that were taking humanitarian aid to Gaza deserves every kind of curse. This attack is on international law, the conscience of humanity and world peace," he said.
"The ships declared their cargo and their intention to the whole world before setting sail to Gaza. 60 journalists from Turkey and the other countries were also on board the ships to witness the campaign. It is evident that this attack on 600 people and 6 ships carrying aid to poor Palestinian people who were left destitute, is on the basic philosophy of the United Nations. The ships were loaded with humanitarian aid and they were strictly controlled under the international traffic rules. They were carrying volunteers. But they were subject to such an armed attack," he said.
"Following the terrorist attack on the naval base and the illegal attack on aid ships by Israeli forces, I cut short my visit to Chile and returned to Turkey. Our government has been following the developments closely from the very beginning. Deputy Prime Minister Bulent Arinc held an extraordinary meeting with relevant ministers and other officials. Our foreign minister and national defense minister held telephone conversations with Israeli Defense Minister Ehud barak to convey Turkey's reaction and uneasiness," he said.
Erdogan said, "Turkey has been using all means of the international law and diplomacy and continue to do so in the drays ahead. To this end, we recalled our ambassador in Tel Aviv. Three joint military exercises scheduled with Israel were cancelled. Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu went to New York and called the UN Security Council to hold an extraordinary meeting. As a result, the UN Security Council issued a statement condemning Israel and called on immediate release of civilians and the injured passengers. Matches to be played between Turkish and Israeli soccer teams were cancelled. NATO Council will convene later today. And the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) will meet on Monday."
"We refused Israel's offer to send the injured passengers. We have the will and power to take our own injured people. Two military ambulance left to bring back the injured passengers. Civilians planes of the Ministry of Health is about to arrive there," he said.
Erdogan said, "Israel must inform the world public opinion correctly. It should not refrain from international cooperation. Israel should acknowledge the importance of the situation and correct its mistake."
Prime Minister Erdogan called on Israel to immediately end the inhumane blockade of Gaza.

Organizers of flotilla say Irish 'Rachel Corrie', American ship await news on those killed in raid
Aviel Magnezi Published: 06.01.10, 12:10 / Israel News
Organizers of an aid flotilla to Gaza kept mum Tuesday on additional ships scheduled to arrive in Israel's international waters in the coming days, while Israeli officials mulled possible responses.
Greta Berlin, of the heads of the Free Gaza Movement, told Ynet that the Irish 'Rachel Corrie' and another American ship are scheduled to make an appearance next week, and promised that "this is not the end".
"The ships are currently docking at certain ports, we are waiting to see what happened to those who were murdered by your army, and then we will decide how to proceed," she said.
Berlin added that she believed the ships would continue on their path early next week. "We don't plan on stopping, we have people from all over the world interested in donating money and we have no problem recruiting additional people and ships."
She said the ships had docked after the violent occurrences Monday, and that they would not set sail until the movement succeeds in identifying the people killed on the Turkish vessel Marmara.
"What about the bodies?" she asked. "What will Israel do with them? Are they in some freezer somewhere? Why won't they tell us what happened to them?"
Meanwhile Israeli officials were responding to the unexpected turn of events. Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz said, "We cannot expect 100% success in operations such as the takeover of the Gaza Strip flotilla."
Speaking at a Finance Ministry conference in Jerusalem, he added, "We are experts in self-flagellation, which is excessive and harmful, and in this case causes more harm than good.
"Breaking the maritime siege on Gaza would have led to a further escalation of rockets and acts of terror. The State of Israel has no choice but to defend itself. The Navy did what was required of it, while putting its men's lives in danger."
US veteran on board 'Liberty' was flotilla passenger
Man who served on ship bombed by Israel during 1967 war is missing in aftermath of flotilla clashes
News agencies Published: 06.01.10, 09:13 / Israel News
A US Navy veteran who was on board the USS Liberty, which Israel attacked during the Six Day War, is now missing after taking part in the conflict-ridden flotilla, US news agencies reported Tuesday.
Sixty-three year-old Joe Miduras, of the Texas town of Corpus Christi, has not yet made contact with his wife, Jean. She has so far remained unconcerned, however, saying she didn't think he had been hurt.
Miduras was a soldier on board the USS Liberty, which came under fire by Israeli warplanes and torpedoes on the fourth day of the 1967 war. As a result, 34 crew members were killed. "We have no luck with Israelis," his wife joked.
One other American man, a former diplomat, was also on board the flotilla. Eighty-one year-old Edward Peck, of Maryland, was the US ambassador to Mauritania and also served in the State Department during the Reagan presidency.
He is currently on his way home. His wife says she received an email from the Foreign Ministry saying Peck was in good condition, and estimated that he would be home on Tuesday.
On board the Marmara were also two Australian journalists, Paul McGeough and photographer Kate Geraghty. Editor of the Sydney Morning Herald, Alan Oakley, said the two had been taken to Ela Prison in Beersheba.
He said he had had no contact with the two since Monday's incidents. Oakley added that the Irish and Australian embassies in Israel would take care of the two, who are also Irish citizens.
Oakley said the journalists had participated in the flotilla as part of their jobs as reporters. "I hope the authorities respect their rights," he said.
The Immigration Authority said Tuesday that there had been 679 passengers from 40 different countries on board the boats, most of them Turkish and Greek. The youngest passenger was a two-year old child. Nine were killed and more than 40 injured during the clashes, seven of them IDF soldiers.

Well, look on the bright side. The flotilla has achieved one objective, at a heavy cost to be sure, of exposing this vile criminal and key enterprise called Israel. The Nazi simulacrum regime expects the brickbats but still regards itself immune from active opposition from US and European governments firmly in its pockets
At least the Egyptian blockade has been lifted, which bodes well a little bit
There is a sense that these are revelatory times, and anyone with an iota of intelligence can hardly have missed what the Israeli regime is really about
I note that the BBC is still leading items about this attack is still showing the IDF propaganda clip in its headings - appallingly obvious really
Is there some side of this which will inevitably result in an Israeli- led attack on Iran? Cant help but feeling the whole story will be skewed this way _________________ http://www.exopolitics-leeds.co.uk/introduction
this also looks like a singling out of Turkey, I wonder what will happen if the West do the expected thing of sticking the ole finger up? I'd expect all Arab nations then to stand together! There are alot of signs already that that could be the goal of the Flotilla as well as to draw world condemnation. Thats face it we all knew what was likely to happen, seems that Israel is getting very arrogant lately!

'Arabs'? You're expecting an awful lot of a people who have never managed inter-tribal co-operation very well, IMO.
Pilger and Gista have recently produced very clear articles with all the necessary buttons in them to provoke worldwide bloodshed - just what the Custodians want. Fortunately or otherwise the 'masses' are still steeped in utter ignorance of what is being done to them - perhaps there's still an iota of bliss buried amidst all the cognitive-dissonance-provoking propaganda being shoved down their throats daily from the likes of Reynolds at the Beeb?

Could anything be more urgent? Capitalism is grinding the bones of the people right into the ground and breaking their hearts into millions of sharp, jagged pieces – hearts that were meant for loving and laughing.

There seems a coordinated response so far re. Arab nations. Who knows what their propaganda really states? The Western side already seems to be claiming Egypt opened the border from international pressure. I had quite the opposite opinion when I first heard the news. The real reason for Israel's butchery on the high seas?
Today at 13:45 by Tom Baker
The killings on the flotilla were pre-meditated and deliberate. Make no mistake. The decision to take the ship well into international waters, breaking many laws, (the flotilla was legally entitled to use any force it wanted to prevent those soldiers boarding) and not waiting for it to reach the disputed occupation waters was intended. This is a murderous act of piracy to provoke a reaction from Turkey.
IHH’s Turkish flagged ship ‘Mavi Mara’ was supposed to be sailing alone when it was attacked. All other ships were delayed due to sabotage but caught up later as the flotilla was held back. Not suspected sabotage, it was admitted by the Israeli foreign ministry spokesman. This was part of the Israeli plan. Also part of the plan was the collaboration of Cyprus in preventing the (non-Turkish) humanitarians, including holocaust survivor Hedi Epstein, and their boats leaving from Cyprus. All of the previous eight ‘Free Gaza’ flotillas have left from there without any hindrance.
The reaction to the offer by Israel for the aid to go through their checkpoints would always be refused. No humanitarian in their right mind would trust Israel with their aid. Israel is responsible for the humanitarian crisis in the first place and 80% of aid donated by other countries and NGO’s has been denied entry. Nor would they trust the Israeli-manipulated Egyptian authorities with their aid. I have witnessed them with my own eyes taking truckloads of aid, donated and driven 5000 miles by UK citizens including myself, that was never seen again. I was part of a second convoy to Gaza this time alongside the humanitarian group IHH and was hospitalised in a non-lethal attack, by Egyptian riot police on the group. This time the aid was untouched. Was this just a plan to see the reaction of IHH members to an unprovoked assault? Either way they were never going to dock in either country.
There is a smokescreen in place due to the tirade of Israeli lies, given a free reign in the western media, that would be hilarious if it were not for the tragic circumstances. It is either enraging or confusing us, to the point where we cannot take a look at the bigger picture. Thought these lies will soon come out as the flotilla members come home to give their account of events.
This attack by Israel on a Turkish flagged ship in international waters is legally a direct attack on a NATO state that obliges other NATO states to defend it. They wont of course because they can’t. The US is the unelected leader of NATO and will veto all decisions that would not be in Israel’s interest. The Israeli lobby, and this is so well documented it is irrefutable, controls US foreign policy (see Walt and Mearsheimers book ‘the Israel Lobby‘). How on earth did the events of September 11th ’01, an attack by a rogue group of mainly Saudi individuals provoke America to attack on the sovereign state of Iraq? No links to Al-Qaeda were ever found, we were then spun the WMD lie and then the installation of democracy came into play. Oil was not the reason Iraq was invaded either. Oil companies prefer stability. If the control of Iraq’s oil was the motive for overthrowing the regime then we would have seen a more peaceful attempt a regime change. Just like the attempted coup of Hugo Chavez, and overthrow of Mohammed Mossadeq, the first democratically elected PM of Iran, both of whom intended on putting more of the money from their nations oil back into the country.
Iraq was Israel’s biggest threat to middle east domination. Israel has invaded 5 of it’s neighbours unprovoked, and now 6 if you include Turkey, in it’s recent history. Iraq fired scud missiles at Tel-Aviv and Haifa back in January ‘91 Israel did nothing. Confronting Iraq would have been far too dangerous for Israel being so close in location to the military power. So the war was done by proxy using the lives of British and American soldiers to wipe out Iraq’s threat.
Iran is now the only other threat to Israeli domination in the region. We were being fed, again, the lie of WMD threats. Although now Iran has started dealing peaceful nuclear technologies with Turkey, mediated by Brazil, making it completely legal in the eyes of the UN. Israel is now looking for another way to get
Iran’s military power destroyed. What better way now than instigating war with Turkey? Bring it on Erdogan they are silently screaming in his face. The immediate reaction of Turkey was to announce military escort for the delayed ship ‘MV Rachel Corrie” who is still to sail into Gaza to deliver aid. This has now, wisely been taken back.
The world now sees the real Israel, the slaughter of 1400 in Gaza did not do it, Israeli PR won that time but this time they went too far.
When John Snow asked Mark Regev, the Israeli live on channel 4 if, for killing it’s nationals, he would apologise to Turkey he arrogantly replied ‘for what?’
We now know what disregard Israel has for human lives and international condemnation. Measures must be taken to reduce the threat this rogue nuclear state (they have 300 nukes and deny their existence so they don’t have to sign any peace initiative, not that that would matter) poses. Our governments cannot act on this properly without bringing a possible nuclear war to the world. It is on our shoulders to start a bottom-up economic reduction of the threat of Israel, through the boycott of Israeli goods, that will bring about peaceful change through internal dissent in Israel as war with this country will bring about very serious consequences for the world.

Latest is that MV Rachel Corrie is promised the same treatment by Isra-hell so:
Quote:
Demand That Ireland Expel The Israeli Ambassador From Ireland
Yesterday at 19:08
Please copy and paste the following letter, then send it to Michael Martin, the Foreign Affairs Minister in Ireland.
I am calling on you to immediatley expel Zion Enroy, the Israeli Ambassador to Ireland.
Less than 40 hours ago, upwards on 20 unarmed humanitarians were executed by Israeli forces in International waters.
5 of the people attacked were Irish citizens.
Tomorrow, 4 Irish citizens, onboard an Irish ship, MV Racael Corrie, will sail to Gaza. If one finger is put on them by the IDF, I will hold you and your Government partly responsible for not taking action sooner.
In the past 40 hours you have failed to outline what you are prepared to do. All I have heard is talk. It all sounds like Blah Blah Blah Blah right now. All talk, and no action.
Action Michael, is what I want. Not fancy words, and hollow threats. The Taoiseach, Brian Cowen, has now joined in with more talk.
Talk is cheap Michael, and that is all you and your Government have been doing in the past few days.
Michael, you FAILED to take action whenever Israel stole 8 Irish passports in their murder of a Palestinian in Dubai. By failing to take action, you put the lives of millions of Irish people worldwide in danger. The UK and Australia expelled Israeli officials, and they would be considered as "Friends" of Israel.
Michael, you and your colleagues recently allowed Israel to become members of the OECD. A fitting reward for stealing passports don't you think?
They showed you their appreciation on Monday morning whenever they attacked not only Irish people, but nearly 800 other unarmed humanitarians in their illegal attacks in International waters.
Michael, the time for talking is over. Step up to the plate and show the world that Ireland has a set of balls, that they can think for themselves, and not do what the US tells them.
Oh, and by the way Michael, do you not think that now would be a good time to BAN the US war planes from refueling in Shannon, considering that they were the ONLY country who didn't condemn Israel for the attacks on the Flotilla, and Irish citizens?
Awaiting your reply

Having been shunned by the EU, Turkey has been made to pay for the US losses in Iraq and Afghanistan with mass refugee movements on its soil. Despite Turkey being one of the only friends Israel has, the old adage that Israel has no friends seems to apply here, only enemies. If Erdogan does not take revenge for the deaths of Turks it will prove to the Turkish military that Turkish lives are as worthless as Arabs in Gaza and if they make true the promise to break the blockade with a naval defended flotilla, then war may be the outcome.
Being a member of NATO and being at war with Americas only true ally in the Middle East will create a new set of problems. Not that that has bothered Turkey before as they still have the remnants of independent economic and foreign policy intact, having thrown out the IMF from their country not long ago.
Regev tells Zoabi: "Go to Gaza, Traitor!" This is when it kicked off. A fight breaks out in Knesset as members turn violent towards Arab MK who took part in Gaza flotilla.
Knesset members on Wednesday slammed MK Hanin Zoabi (Balad), who took part in the flotilla to Gaza raided by the IDF on Monday. Fears of violence against her by other MKs have led the Knesset to grant her personal security guards.
MK Zoabi: Israel wanted highest number of fatalities / Sharon Roffe-Ofir
Arab Knesset member who participated in Gaza aid flotilla holds press conference says, 'It was clear from size of force that boarded ship that purpose was not to stop sail, but to cause largest number of fatalities to prevent future initiatives'
MK Anastassia Michaeli (Yisrael Beiteinu) chased Zoabi in an attempt to keep her from speaking, and a fight broke out at the podium. Other MKs tried to separate between the two women, and eventually Michaeli was removed from the hall.
Each MK was allotted one minute to speak, but Zoabi took longer because of the many disruptions by other MKs present. When Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin asked her to descend from the podium she refused, and also had to be physically removed.
MK Jamal Zahalka (Balad) was also one of the MKs forced out of the debate. Zahalka said that the entire world condemns the IDF raid on the flotilla to Gaza.
"I want to call for the release of leaders of the Arab public," he told the plenum before his removal, referring to Sheikh Raed Salah and others who were arrested for taking part in the sail. "MK Zoabi deserves an award. She fulfilled her duty."
MK Yoel Hasson (Kadima) intervened and said, "She deserves an award from Hamas!" He was also removed from the debate.
A heated debate took place before the speeches as well. "Zoabi is party to a double crime -- joining terrorists and a moral crime against the State of Israel," she said during a heated Knesset session Wednesday. "She must be punished. We don't need Trojan horses in the Knesset." MK Miri Regev (Likud) even shouted at Zoabi in Arabic, "Go to Gaza, traitor."
"She (Zoabi) stood here over a year ago and pledged her allegiance to the State of Israel and its laws. My intention is not to harm freedom of speech -- but in MK Zoabi's case -- this isn't freedom of speech. The sail to Gaza was a sail of terror. Zoabi must be punished. We don't need Trojan horses in the Knesset," Regev said.
MK Yohanan Plesner (Kadima) also told Zoabi to visit the Strip. "I just wish you would go to Gaza for at lease a week and then we'll see how you talk about women's rights and civil rights. Just one week, and we'll see what happens. One week in Gaza as a 38-year old single woman and we'll see how they treat you! You are the last person capable of preaching morals to us," he cried out.
Rightist lawmaker Moshe Mutz Matalon (Yisrael Beitenu) told Zoabi, "Nice work. In one day you've managed to accomplish what the treacherous people around you have been trying to do for years. Unfortunately, the (commando) fighters (who raided the aid flotilla) acted with too much restraint. They left only nine floating voters."
MK Nachman Shai's (Kadima) attack on Zoabi was a bit more refrained. "I respect democracy, but an MK cannot participate in such a journey, which is against the law and deifies the country that is mine just as much as it is yours.
"I respect your opinions, but it was wrong of you to stand on that ship's deck. It's unacceptable," he added.
Next to speak was Hadash chairman Mohammad Barakeh. "We stand by our colleague MK Zoabi and consider her actions noble, as they were meant to lift the siege off of an entire nation."
Rightist MKs interrupted the Arab lawmaker's speech with calls of "Enemies. Enemies. Shame on you." Barakeh responded by saying, "You are trying to justify the cold-blooded murder of protestors. The responsibility does not lie with the soldiers, but with those who organized this crime -- mainly Netanyahu and Barak.
"I am holding the political echelon responsible. Not one country is taking Israel's side in this crime. You are swimming against the entire world. You are hurting your own nation," said Barakeh.
I am a Jew and I am outraged and ashamed by the acts Israel has perpetrated. I am not a self hating Jew, not an anti-semite, as some religious extremist Jews have accused me and other Jews who criticize Israel.
I am a Jew who knows right from wrong, who can see that the band of evil idiots in Israel who are making decisions are doing the wrong thing, doing things that are bad for the Jewish people. I stand up now declaring that Israel does not act in my name. AIPAC, the lobbying group for Israel does not act in my name.
I was ashamed and outraged when Israel attacked Gaza, killing over 1000 innocents. I told my son it would be like him throwing a balled up peice of paper at me and me coming back with a hammer smashing him in the head and face repeatedly.
There’s no other way to explain it. The Israeli leadership have become psychopaths, without conscience. I know that there are Jews who are bigots, who see the Palestinians as less than human. These are usually the same racist haters who listen to Rush Limbaugh like the Christian racist haters who treat all Muslims and blacks the same way. It’s not a Jewish or Zionist thing. People who like to hate Jews tend to think that way. Sorry, It’s not the case.
Israel is now controlled by a small minority of extreme, ultra-orthodox Jews. They have the power because they have small minority power bases in the Knesset that they use to help larger groups to gain power– as long as these fringe groups get specific things they want. These ultra-orthodox are extremist fundamentalists, just like the crazy, rabid right wingers we have here in the USA.
It is time for the US to deal with Israel, facing the reality that these extremists are controlling too much. The US should tell AIPAC that the curtain has been lifted, it no longer will be paid attention to and it should go away.
There are a few million Jews in the US. They’re a powerful voting bloc and they tend to vote liberal– about 75-80 percent. An awful lot of them are very unhappy today. If you know any, talk to them. If you are one, speak out, as a Jew, that you refuse to allow Israel to act as though it represents the Jewish people. Demand it. NOT IN MY NAME!! Tell them.
The members of congress are terrified of Israel’s main lobbying arm, AIPAC, and jump like frightened puppies when AIPAC barks. I’ve written about this before, thatAIPAC IS Bad for Israel, but it is also bad for the Jewish people. Israel’s crimes against humanity have done more to increase anti-Semitism in recent years than any other cause.
AIPAC’s reign of fear over congress must stop. It will only end if constituents show that they care. Whether you are Jewish or not, tell your representatives that Israel’s actions against the Palestinians and Humanitarians aiding the Palestinians must not stand. I wrote some ideas on how to fight back against AIPAC here. One thing that is still true, attacking Jews and going into anti-zionist rants will only help AIPAC. This is about Israel, not Zionism. Attacking Zionists or Israeli Jews in general does smack of anti-Semitism and serves the Israeli propagandists, even if it may make some who hate Israel feel good. If you want to help the people of Gaza talk Israeli crimes. If you want to vent your spleen and help Israel and AIPAC, talk Zionists and Zionism.
We are facing terrible times, with the possibility that Gulf could become a dead zone and a president who does not have what it takes to call what the Israelis did wrong.
That must change. We need to go to the local offices of the members of the House of Representatives and show them, with big numbers, that Israel does not have a blank check. It is time to pull the plug on the bottomless money we’ve been sending to Israel. Force them to change their policies by voting out the insane leaders who believe that they can commit the CRIMES they’ve committed and the US will do nothing.
It is time. It is past time.

Rob Kall has some good advice but we may be facing a situation where Israeli government action was designed deliberately to halt the current talks between Israel and the Palestinian authority and to cancel the meeting between Netanyahu and Obama. If that was the intention, the Isaeli government's action was highly successful.
What would be the motive for cancelling talks?
Well if you operate within the mindset that Jews are a persecuted people who have been victimised for centuries who since WW2 have been obliged to stand up for themselves through armed force rather than trusting the international community to treat them as equals, you don't want international talks to proceed. Add to that the influence of small extremist religious parties whose line is that God has bequeathed the Jews all the land between the Nile and the Euphrates, and there is no room for negotiation. With Israel being overwhelmingly the most heavily armed entity in the Middle East and with the extraordinarily well-organised power of the pro-Israel lobby within the US, Israel, it may be reasoned, is likely to gain more from armed force than from diplomacy. If they had cut off talks with the Palestinian Authority it would look bad, but the result of this attack on the flotilla it is the Palestinian Authority which has suspended talks. Israel will blame the Palestinians for refusing to talk.
Of course we should not jump to conclusions. It may be a c***-up from the Israeli government's point of view. They may not have intended that people should be shot and killed, but the Israeli marines over reacted to people on the flotilla using metal poles and chairs to defend themselves. They may not have foreseen the degree of the international outrage, particularly that of Turkey which was Israel's only ally in the region. On the other hand, because Turkey was in a good position to act as mediator in Palestinian-Israeli talks, the Israeli government could have a motive for destroying good relations with Turkey.

Israel has as much relationship with jews and the holocaust as I have with China. I may buy and use Chinese products and inadvertently collude in child labour but I cant claim biblical persecution for my actions going back 2,000 years to rob others of their land and homes.
Despite being subject to 65 UN resolutions, Israel has never been held accountable for its mounting crimes against humanity. This attack on civilian aid workers will be no different. Today Israel occupies 87% of the Palestinian lands compared to just 2.5% of the land they originally owned in 1917. It is widely reported that Israel officially receives some $3 billion every year in the form of economic aid from the U.S. government, “Total identifiable costs come to almost $3 trillion. About 60 percent, well over half, of those costs—about $1.7 trillion—arose from the U.S. defense of Israel, where most of that amount has been incurred since 1973.”
In1948 after the creation of the Zionist state 355,000 of the one million Palestinian population were forced to become refugees. When the Gaza Strip and West Bank were occupied in 1967, the UN reported that a further 200,000 Palestinians fled their homes to other parts of the world.
By 2005 the total numbers of the refugees had risen to approximately 7.2 million Palestinians, equivalent to 74% of 9.7 million entire Palestinian population. Israel has 226 Jewish settlements and outposts built on confiscated Palestinian land and has demolished 24,145 Palestinian homes since 1967. Israel claims that it is impossible to allow the Palestinians the right of return to their homeland.
The bottom line is Israel is just a US airstrip playing the 'holocaust card' to legitimise itself, nothing more. It has now managed to push away its sole supporter in the form of Turkey. Some form of fireworks will be the outcome.
