Any suggestions as to WTF this is about?

MI6 worker found murdered in London flat
• Man found dead in sports bag in bath of London townhouse
• Body was decomposing and had been stabbed, reports say
Police probe 'spy' death A police officer outside the townhouse in Pimlico where the body of an unnamed man was found in a top-floor flat.
Police are investigating the murder of an apparent intelligence agent whose body was found stuffed into a sports bag in the bath of his London flat.
A postmortem examination will be held this morning to try to establish how the man, who was in his early 30s, died.
Scotland Yard would not comment on reports that the man had been stabbed several times. A spokesman said they would wait until the results of the postmortem were in.
It was also reported that the man's body was decomposing when it was found, and that one neighbour said police had told her the man could have been murdered a fortnight ago.
An unconfirmed report suggested he had worked at GCHQ, the government's secret listening service. He had been on secondment to MI6, the secret intelligence service, when he disappeared up to 10 days ago.
Police found his body on Monday afternoon when they were called to his flat in Pimlico after reports that he had not been seen for some time. Inside the property, officers found the man's mobile phone and a collection of sim cards laid out, the Daily Mail reported.
The location of the five-storey townhouse, just a mile from MI6 headquarters, fuelled speculation that the man was working there before his death.
Land Registry documents reveal that the block is owned by a private company, New Rodina.
Its details are hidden because it is registered in the British Virgin Islands and is not listed with Companies House.
The word rodina means "motherland" in Russian and Bulgarian.
A police source stressed that the man had not been formally identified, saying that while his employment documentation suggested he had indeed worked for the secret service, "he might have been an air conditioning technician rather than a spy".
He added: "If he really was a spy, you imagine someone would have reported him missing rather sooner."
Scotland Yard has launched a murder inquiry, in conjunction with counterterrorist and security service officials.
The street was cordoned off last night as forensic teams searched the property and surrounding areas for clues as to how and why the man was killed.
A black private ambulance parked outside the house just before 9.30pm. A few minutes later, forensics officers, accompanied by police officers, removed the corpse in a red body bag.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan police said: "Detectives are investigating a suspicious death following the discovery of the body of a man in a central London flat. At around 1640 hours on Monday 23 August, officers attended the flat, on the top floor of a property in Alderney Street, Westminster, following reports that the occupant had not been seen for some time.
"Officers gained entry and found the body of the man, believed to be aged in his 30s. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officers are yet to identify the deceased."
No arrests have been made.
The street of Georgian terraced homes remained cordoned off this morning and police officers stood outside No 36, which is divided into three flats.
Curtains were drawn in the top-floor flat, where it was believed the murder took place.
Many politicians and bankers live on the street, neighbours said.
If reports of the deceased man being a spy are true, the murder will be the highest-profile one in the UK of someone linked to the secret services since that of Alexander Litvinenko.
The former KGB agent died in hospital after being poisoned by radioactive polonium-210 in 2006. |

It's a bizare story for so many reasons.
The secret company, with the patriotic Russian name, hidden in a secret offshore listing.
The body left in a sports bag, to rot in the bath! Left for 2 weeks, maybe more. No aparent attempt to track him down.
A loner, who lived in the same Cheltenham ONE BEDROOM flat for TEN years.
No friends!
Early 30's, Phd Maths from Cambridge.
Listened to ANOLOGUE tapes in his room???
Few people ever noticed him.
Aparently no girlfriend.
Aparently self motivated, fit and keen cyclist.
Jumps from living in a one bedroom bedsit above his landlady's house, to living in a £1 million flat in the most expensive part of London. |

Mainstream media are being fed the story that his murder is connected to the MI6 operatives private life eg: The Telegraph: "Murdered British spy 'may have been killed by jealous lover". What a load of psyop!
However this whole event is a psy op? The people who murdered this guy are trying to send a message to another group. Its a very public message from inside a very private world.
So what's the group and what's the message? |

The Sun LOL! It was aparently a sports bag - although no suggestion the body was cut up, so must have been a VERY BIG sports bag. The ends of his feet and clearly visable in the pictures of his body being carried out under a blanket on a stretcher. Obviously his body was not in a suitcase, unless it was a man sized suit case!
There is no evidence the guy had any relationships! His neighbours never seen him, no one could tell if he was in or out, his next door neighbour said she spoke to him ONCE - LAST YEAR! His land-lady in Cheltenham - where he lived in a bedsit, in her house, for TEN YEARS... said he never had any friends around. But she often heard the noise of a tape machine. Very odd. It's like the man who nerver was.
The pictures of this guy tell a story of a loner. The guy looks odd, he looks like someone who has spent a long time alone.
He would be the perfect candidate for a honeytrap or the perfect dupe.
That the road must be covered in CCTV!
Oh and this guy was missing for TWO WEEKS before anyone thought to try his home address LOL! COME ON! |

Tremendous reasoning by The Sun:
Quote: | Cops found women's clothing that would fit him at his flat |
...and the insightful conclusion follows triumphantly:
Quote: | Murdered spook was a cross dresser
MURDERED MI6 worker Gareth Williams was a secret transvestite who may have been killed by a gay lover, detectives said yesterday.
|
Usually it's quite easy to follow what is *not* true from the garbage that some establishment outlets spew out.
Here are my (highly speculative) two cents: the guy was an informer for the Russians.
He was lured to Pimlico with the prospect of a 'secondment' and terminated.
It's inconceivable that MI6 would have let him rot for two weeks before looking for him.
The house where he died is a wordplay in Russian, look it up.
As crazydave wrote above:

Quote: | The Sun says:
A landlady who rented Mr Williams a flat in Cheltenham said: "He was polite and mild-mannered and wouldn't hurt a fly.
"He was forever off on bike rides but never really had friends round.
"He was an extremely intelligent person but would not talk about his job as it was a secret.
"Sometimes you would hear tapes whirring from his flat. It must have been cassettes he used for work. He never told me what they were." |
Quote: | ‘never really had friends round’ | – this means he was a loner. But if that was true who killed him in the flat? A ghost?
Quote: | ‘would not talk about his job as it was a secret.’ | – did she know he worked for GCHQ?
Quote: | 'Sometimes you would hear tapes whirring from his flat.' | – this is the giveaway. How do you hear a whirring tape in someone’s room? What was she doing? Bugging his flat? Listening to his every move? Is she the sex weirdo?
This ‘landlady’ is either a spook who never was a ‘landlady’ or works for GCHQ. A story is being created about a weird loner with funny sexual appetites who picks up gay men who engage in usually gay sex, i.e. cutting up your fling and stuffing the dead body into a suitcase. Pretty typical, huh!
The result is that the public would laugh off the bizarre death and not think any further. It becomes normal practice for the secret services to bump people off and create a smokescreen by alleging that the victim engages in bizarre sex. Years ago a journalist investigating arms was found hanged in a cupboard in a Chilean hotel. But even The Guardian questioned the bizarre sex explanation.
In normal circumstances, we wouldn’t hear of the death of a spy. It is pretty unbelievable that they would be so incompetent so as to leave a dead body in an MI6 flat for two weeks. So, this is all deliberate.
But could we speculate further about the bizarre sex. Perhaps, this is more than the secret services applying extraordinary methods to end an employee’s employment. Bizarre sex seems more to do with occult, elite Freemasonry, etc. This represents a secret sect within the security services created by the City of London, Crown Agents network that uses government institutions. Royal Arch Freemasonry is in the occult end of Freemasonry and is a cult within the security services and military.
The dead GCHQ spy, Williams, apparently spied on Taliban. He either discovered that the City of London/Crown Agents’ network were supporting them, regarded himself as a loyal nationalist and wanted to spill the beans. Or he was part of their network and had a change of heart.
Or, he may be part of MI6/MI5/Defence intelligence middle level agents who are angry about the murder of Kelly. This network is now pushing for an inquest now that the Labour Party are out of government. The City of London/Crown Agents network has struck back.
MI6/City of London/Crown Agents killed him and left him to be discovered to send a message to other spies: keep your goddamn mouth shut! |

The family of murdered British spy Gareth Williams today accused the government of running a 'dirty tricks' campaign to blacken his name.'
William Hughes, the codebreaker's uncle, said Mr Williams' parents Ellen and Ian were 'furious' at suggestions their son has been labelled as gay and a cross dresser.
'It is completely false,' Mr Hughes, 62, who yesterday visited the Williams's family home in Holyhead, North Wales.
'They are very, very angry,' he told the London Evening Standard.
'The lad had been away from home for a long time — we did not know much about his private life, but it has never crossed any of our minds that he could be gay.
'It's not the picture they have of their son.
'Maybe it's the Government or somebody trying to discredit him.'
The mathematics genius, who was on secondment to MI6, was found dead in a sports holdall in the bath of his Government flat on Monday.

Shades of Stephen Milligan MP who died in a supposed auto-erotic misadventure. I don't think it was ever treated as a possible murder. The link below suggests it could have been. In which case what better method: not only killing the man but also destroying his reputation too!

scienceplease 2,
James Rusbridger met a similar fate, after writing about various controversial spy topics, such as the Hilda Mural Affair. The official verdict was suicide...
He dressed himself up in oilskins and a gasmask first though!

The idea he was blackmailed stinks. Blackmail is about money or information, not people meeting mysterious deaths and £2,000 doesn't go very far these days, even £6,000 isn't going to do much! The biggest question should be why it took two weeks to check if the guy was still ok... alive even!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1306842/Gareth-WIllams-Riddle- murder-spys-money-trail.html
One police source said: ‘There is near mutiny among the team.
‘The investigation is in complete disarray because most of the team thinks there should be a public appeal to garner potentially crucial information about Gareth Williams’s movements.
‘But they are being told "No", without any explanation or debate. It is assumed that it’s an order from on high.’
A second source added: ‘It is absolutely bizarre because SO15 (Counter Terror Command) are not conducting the inquiry – it is being handled by homicide command. |

‘But they are being told "No", without any explanation or debate. It is assumed that it’s an order from on high.’
A second source added: ‘It is absolutely bizarre because SO15 (Counter Terror Command) are not conducting the inquiry – it is being handled by homicide command.
’It’s very strange but it explains why the spooks are blocking them. Officers in SO15 are security vetted but the homicide detectives are not.
‘The security services are not going to want to trust them with top-secret information. ‘They would only trust the SO15 officers. This guy may only have been a cipher but he clearly had access to secret material, and they won’t want ordinary police officers tramping all over it.’
Questions are now being asked over why the inquiry was given to murder squad detectives in the first place, rather than security-vetted counter terror officers.
One theory was that this was specifically demanded by the security services. The source added: ‘It’s clearly a big cover up, for whatever reason. The security services obviously don’t want the police to pry too deeply into this one.
‘So by insisting the inquiry is carried out by ordinary officers, who don’t have security clearance, they have an excuse to block them from access to sensitive information and key witnesses.
‘It makes it easier for the whole thing to be swept under the carpet. Why, we can only guess at.’ Publicly, the Metropolitan Police said the notion of any dispute was ‘absolute rubbish’ and said that ‘organised and well established procedures are in place to ensure collaborative and supportive working’. |

Tony,
I doubt very much he was a closet transvestite or a closet gay - he wouldn't have passed his vetting leading the kind of lifestyle they've given him. As for Daivd Shaler.... does that need comment? |

"Police refused to categorise the death as a murder, despite the bizarre circumstances, and say he may have died innocently".
Yes he "innocently" tripped and fell into the sports holdall in his bath - dieing instantly, whilst curling up into a little neat bundle!!!
The NKVD couldn't have come up with something so stupid! |

Futher leaks in inquiry into the death of Gareth Williams cause his family further fury and hurt, as information is leaked that £24,000 went FROM his bank account. Why money would come out of, rather than into a spys bank account and therefore end in his death isn't explained. The question should be why this information is being leaked from the inquiry before all the facts are assertained.

SPY FAMILY’S FURY AT BLACKMAIL ‘LIES’
The family of murdered spy Gareth Williams dismissed claims that he was being blackmailed
Monday August 30,2010
By John Twomey
THE family of murdered spy Gareth Williams yesterday dismissed claims that he was being blackmailed.
Relatives hit out at “untrue rumours” as detectives probed money transfers totalling £24,000 to and from the code breaker’s accounts.
The biggest single movement of cash is believed to be £18,000 withdrawn from one of his accounts eight weeks ago.
Three sums of £2,000 paid in and then out of the 31-yearold’s accounts on consecutive days are also being examined. Two bundles of £500 – one in an envelope and the other tied with an elastic band – are said to have been found in the flat where he died.
But relatives of the brilliant mathematician are convinced the transfers and the bundles of cash all have totally innocent explanations. They say the allegations of blackmail and rumours about his private life have now become “intolerable”.
Mr Williams’ uncle, Bill Hughes, said: “We know nothing of this. It’s another example of unsupported rumours being allowed to circulate. To the best of our knowledge, Gareth wasn’t gay and wasn’t being blackmailed.” Mr Williams was found dead in the bath of his top-floor flat in Pimlico, central London, last Monday.
His body had been stuffed into a sports holdall and may have lain there for up to eight days. The bag was padlocked. One theory that detectives are working on is that Mr Williams knew his killer and let him into the flat. A post-mortem examination last week proved inconclusive. Further tests are being carried out.
Forensic experts returned to the scene of the murder on Friday in a bid to find clues which will solve the mystery. Mr Willaims worked for the Government’s listening post GCHQ in Cheltenham and was on secondment to MI6. He made frequent trips to America, including visits to the National Security Agency’s Fort Meade base in Maryland. |

xmasdale,
What they would tell you and what is reality are two completely different matters. I don't believe for one moment that Shaler was a real "truther", it follows the patern of infiltration and credibility gaining, before finally doing as much damage as possible. It is as old as the hills. Rule number one, don't believe anything a goon (current or former) tells you - lieing is a way of life for them. |

Expect to see more of this * as globalism expands...
MI6 death: Murder most strange
Officers from the Met's Homicide and Serious Crime Command are understood to be furious at being stonewalled by Britain's secretive intelligence agencies. Detectives claim to have been "blocked" from interviewing potentially crucial witnesses, such as Mr Williams's "best friend", a female colleague at the Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), who was posted to the US last month.
