Jewish Leaders Gather to Support Ground Zero Mosque

Jewish community leaders gathered at the site of the proposed mosque and community center -- called the Cordoba Initiative -- Thursday afternoon to express their support for the controversial project.
"As Jews committed to religious freedom, to honest dialogue, to peacemaking, and to the celebration of the One God, we strongly support the plans of the Cordoba Initiative to build a mosque and Islamic cultural center at the tip of Manhattan, near the site of the World Trade Centers destroyed on 9/11," said Rabbi Ellen Lippman at the rally.
Daisy Khan, co-founder of the Cordoba Initiative and wife of Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, also spoke briefly at the rally, thanking the New York City Jewish community for their support. Rabbi Lippman presented Khan with traditional Jewish housewarming gifts: bread, honey, salt, and a candle, representing sustenance, sweetness, spice, and light.
The proposal to build the mosque has sparked widespread controversy throughout the city and garnered nationwide reaction as politicians, religious leaders and civilians alike weigh in on the plan. Some say that building a mosque two blocks from the World Trade Center is "an intolerable and tragic mistake," in the words of Sarah Palin, who came out against the mosque on her Facebook.
The project's source of funding is also a source of controversy. Imam Rauf has said that the estimated $100 million would be raised in the U.S., but told a London-based Arabic newspaper that the money would come from Muslims throughout the world. Skeptics, concerned that the center will have foreign funding, which could conceivably come from fundamentalist Islamic groups, have expressed frustration that Rauf Rauf has not named any specific sources of funding as of yet.
The Siena Research Institute (SRI) released a poll Thursday that showed that 61 percent of New Yorkers oppose the mosque's construction. The poll also found that "over half of all New Yorkers and NYC residents either agree that the project would prmote tolerance or are, at least, willing to listen," SRI Director Don Levy said in the release.
Khan declined to answer questions, but Rabbi Arthur Waskow of the Shalom Center said of the funding: "We don't want to deal with that right now. This is a time for celebration, for welcoming. When you give people salt, bread, honey and candles, you don't ask them 'Now who paid to put up the house?' You welcome them into the house. that's what we are here to do."
After the rally, Lippman told reporters that the Jewish communities represented at the rally have no information about the Cordoba Institute's funding, nor do they have any plans to fundraise for the center in the immediate future.
Rally speakers also criticized the ADL's recent statement in opposition to the Cordoba Center's construction. "Though the ADL has often done good work, in this specific case -- whatever its intention--it has undermined those very adherents of Islam who uphold the Quran's teachings of peace, who condemn terrorsm, and who share with some Jews, some Christians, and some others a commitment to the Unity of God," said Lippman.
Rabbi Waskow concluded his statement at the rally with an anecdote: "I've heard some people say 'well, if it was just the community center, okay, but a mosque?' reminds me of an old Jewish story about somebody who came to a synagogue on Yom Kippur but he didn't have a ticket, and [had to] the person at the door, and finally the guy at the door said 'all right, i'll let you in--but i don't want to catch you praying!' I want to catch us, us Jews, us Muslims, us Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, meditating, praying, not in the same identical ways with each other, but with each other toward the One who is beyond us all."
The rally comes after the Landmark Preservation Committee decided on Tuesday not to grand landmark status to the building scheduled to be demolished as part of the construction, clearing the way for the project to continue. Opponents of the construction, however, have launched a lawsuit challenging the committee's decision.

Masterminds, mosques and mass insanity: “War on Terrorism” propaganda ratcheted up ahead of war escalation

Exemplified by the furor over the so-called “Ground Zero mosque” in New York, and rumors of a new Al-Qaeda “mastermind”, 9/11 “war on terrorism” propaganda has been ramped up to deafening levels by various political factions.

Nearly a decade since Bush/Cheney’s 9/11 false flag deception, a fearful, self-destructive American mass public remains fully brainwashed by “war on terrorism” deception--- ignorant of history, and militantly oblivious to facts.


“Ground Zero mosque”: the art of missing the point

The ludicrous uproar over plans to build a Muslim community center in New York, the so-called “Ground Zero mosque” has dominated mainstream corporate news headlines. Political players from all sides, including President Barack Obama have joined the fray, attempting to prove themselves the superior “anti-terrorist”, or the better “commemorator of 9/11, when 3,000 people were killed by Muslim terrorists”. The right-wing is going berserk, gleefully.

Heated arguments have exploded around religion, tolerance, democracy, etc.---everything except the only fact that matters: 9/11 was a false flag operation, courtesy of the Bush-Cheney administration, carried out by an elite consensus, in order to justify the “war on terrorism”, and everything that came with it. Mass murder. Unending resource conquest. A police state within US borders. Open criminality.

The perpetual threat posed by a fabricated outside enemy, and a militarized, fearful populace, remain the centerpieces of elite policy, and they have been consistently maintained by both Bush/Cheney and Obama administrations. The demonization of Muslims continues to facilitate pillage.

While violent hatred continues to be directed at Muslims (and all “foreigners”), the criminals who truly massacred 3,000 people in the World Trade Center continue to enjoy power, wealth, and high positions of world “leadership” and remain in control of virtually every aspect of society. Those who perpetuate the cover-up (including the Obama administration) still “run the world”, to mass public enthusiasm.

As the “Ground Zero mosque” mushrooms into a full-blown election year battle cry by one faction or another, not whisper of truth appears in any corporate media coverage. Meanwhile, the exhaustive and available information thoroughly exposing and destroying the official “war on terrorism” narrative is unknown to a minority of people whose critical faculties remain intact.

Mike Ruppert’s Crossing the Rubicon exposed why and how 9/11 was likely carried out by Bush/Cheney. Michel Chossudovsky’s America’s “War on Terrorism” thoroughly exposed the 9/11 deception, as well as the fact that 1) the “war on terrorism” is a fabrication that serves as the eternal pretext for global war, and that 2) “Al-Qaeda” and other “Islamic jihad” front are military-intelligence assets that have been continuously supported, managed and “run” by the CIA and affiliates such as Pakistan’s ISI on behalf of Anglo-American geostrategic interests (notably oil) going back to the Cold War. A vast number of researchers (all derided as “9/11 truthers”) such David Ray Griffin continue to detail various aspects of the case including physical evidence.

Oblivious to the availability of this mountain of “conspiracy fact”, the vast majority of the population chooses to embrace the Big Lie.


New “Al-Qaeda” mastermind named

In recent weeks, mainstream corporate news headlines have exploded with the “revelation” that “Al-Qaeda” has a new leader of global operations “in charge of planning future attacks”: Adnan Shukrijumah

According to Miami-based FBI counterterrorism agent Greg LeBlanc, whose Associated Press interview in early August is the single source for the new spate of repeated headlines, Shukrijumah is alleged to be a 15-year resident of the US “intimately familiar with American society”, and is the son of a Muslim cleric trained in Saudi Arabia. He have lived in Miramar, Florida before joining terror training camps in Afghanistan in the 1990s, in order to fight the persecution of Muslims in Bosnia, Chechnya and elsewhere.

Tagged by LeBlanc as the successor to his former boss Khalid Sheikh Mohammed (KSM), and taking orders directly from Osama bin Laden. A clip of Shukrijumah posted by the FBI is gibberish.

There is nothing new about the Shukrijumah narrative. It is an intelligence “legend” years in the making.

Chaim Kupferberg, whose classic analysis of post-9/11 “terror” propaganda (Part 1 and Part Two) are definitive, offered the following thoughts on Shukrijumah in 2004 in a piece titled The "Official" Operative Clique for the Next 9/11.

To quote Kupferberg at length [my emphasis in bold]:

“I'm sure many of you out there are noticing a unified narrative taking shape in advance of the next expected attack. In calibrated drips and dollops, the mainstream media, in partnership with the 9/11 panel, are laying the evidentiary trail pointing to the next "Atta" and his insular cell, which apparently already seems to be "in place" stateside.

“Having no access at all to any insider reports, one can almost foretell the Official Legend that will follow in the wake of this clique's first big explosion into the public consciousness - just by reading the mainstream news.

“Certainly, three of these major operatives - Adnan Shukrijumah, Abderrouf Jdey, and Aafia Siddiqui - are already being linked together. But Shukrijumah and Jdey are the ones to watch, for they are being intimately seeded into the Padilla/dirty bomb and Ahmed Ressam/Canadian clique/West Coast threads of 9/11.

“Recently, Shukrijumah was mentioned as the guy likely doing surveillance of the New York buildings in the latest terror alert. But that was supposed to be old information. Yet Shukrijumah has been showing up all over the radar in the past year alongside Jdey and Siddiqui.

“When Abu Musab Zarqawi was publicly unveiled by Colin Powell before the UN in February 2003, he had yet to make his very public splash as the next Khalid Shaikh Mohammed. But in the opening months of 2004 - as I surmised back in October 2003 - Zarqawi would lay his own foundation in the public mind (particularly by way of the Daniel Pearl-like Berg killing) as the guy tagged to head up the next ‘big one’.

“If the Ressam-connected Canadian clique is involved, the likely target is the U.S. West Coast. I suspect this is the case due to three items: the bulletin last May that alerted the public to Shukrijumah, Jdey, Siddiqui, Gahdan, el-Maati, and others; a reported sighting the next day of Shukrijumah and Jdey at a Denny's in Colorado (they stated that they were "from Iran" and were en route to the West Coast from New York); the release, two weeks later, of the official 9/11 staff report that now placed Jdey (in cahoots with Moussaoui) as an original member of an aborted 9/11 "second wave" attack on the West Coast; and a reported sighting of Shukrijumah at a nuclear research facility in Ontario (while el-Maati had previously been reported casing nuclear facilities near Ottawa).

“…Shukrijumah (aka "the next Atta") apparently seems to be threaded into the 1993 bomb plots by way of his father's connection to Clement Hampton-El. But more strangely, it seems that Shukrijumah will make his way into the Oklahoma City Bomb thread by way of his Florida connection with "dirty bomb" guy Jose Padilla. To shore up the Oklahoma thread, we also have the Zarqawi/Moussaoui/ Nick Berg connection.

“But let's step back and take a stab at guessing at what is happening here. The new legends will be used to strengthen the foundations of the old ones. In parallel to the official account, however, the existing counter-legends will also be beefed up. In short, the narratives are getting all too muddled with the growing interlinking chains. The growing complexity of these new interlinking legends will operate to turn off a good portion of those who might be seriously interested in examining the truth behind 9/11.

“And what of the rest of us? Will we be locked in a never-ending cycle of polarized argument - with each of us picking his favorite conspiracy thread? How many of us will look at Shukrijumah and see the fingerprints of Iran? How many of us will look at the Canadian clique and sense the hand of Syria behind it all? And if they find that the next operation was pulled off with forged New Zealand passports, how many of us will dig up the newspaper account of the Mossad/ New Zealand passport scandal and go ‘Aha! Once again the Israelis!’

And what about the anthrax thread? In recent months, a writer by the name of Ross Getman has been posting accounts that read like excerpts from a future Official 9/11 Sequel Report. Going by Getman's writings, it would appear that a possible Boston connection would involve anthrax by way of Aafia Siddiqui's connection to Brandeis University and its anthrax facility. Also note that a first sighting of Shukrijumah and Jdey a year ago occurred in Maine, where they were spotted driving with a Massachusetts license plate.

So, to sum up: Shukrijumah seems to be part of a "dirty bomb" or radiological thread, while Siddiqui seems to be part of an anthrax thread. Perhaps the Shukrijumah/Jdey/Siddiqui clique is planning a bi-coastal attack involving radiological materials (or perhaps an attack on a nuclear facility) and a simultaneous attack involving anthrax. Shukrijumah has been marketed as an "Atta-level" pilot.

“Whatever the case, a definite evidentiary trail seems to be clearly laid so as to give the impression of the dots connecting up. Shukrijumah was also spotted recently in the Honduras, but I wouldn't give that one much credence. The Denny's item seems the most likely to be resurrected post-facto as an example of institutional incompetence and blindess. Perhaps the Honduras item was meant to give the impression that Shukrijumah was not yet in the U.S.

“…In the aftermath of this next one, there will be those who will point to new instances of incompetence and blindness - who will say that the dots couldn't be connected. Hopefully, perhaps none of the above will ever come to pass. Perhaps Shukrijumah, Jdey, and Siddiqui will never make their "historical" mark - and we've all been treated to nothing more than a cunningly orchestrated campaign of fear-mongering by the government.

“Whatever the case, it seems that a very clear narrative - with accompanying threads - is being built up for potential use. In the event this particular chapter of the narrative ever goes "operational" ... well, at least you'll all know that the mainstream media had put the dots in place beforehand.”

In the years since Kupferberg’s dead-on prediction, Shukrijumah has indeed “emerged” gradually. Attorney General John Ashcroft labeled Shukrijumah a “clear and present danger” in 2004. In 2009, authorities named Shukrijumah as a co-conspirator in the highly questionable New York subway bomb plot.

Shukrijumah has over the years been picked up as a cause célèbre by right-wing hacks such as Michelle Malkin, and the infamous Gerald Posner, who has built an entire malodorous career helping cover-up government crimes as a favored “anti-conspiracy” media shill.

There are many reasons for Shukrijumah to explode to official prominence now. President Barack Obama has declared an end to “combat operations in Iraq”, while maintaining the permanent US military presence in the country and a continuous “anti-terror” operation against “Al-Qaeda” in Iraq. The administration shift forces to Afghanistan, and continue to ramping up its long-promised goal of escalating the “war on terrorism” throughout Afghanistan, Pakistan, etc., With this in the works, along with congressional mid-term elections looming in the fall, all of Washington, from the White House and the FBI to the congressional nominees are refreshing the “terrorism” pretext.

It should be noted that no analysis was done by the various media organs to corroborate the details of LeBlanc’s story before it was repeated verbatim across the media. LeBlanc has also not been vetted as a credible, unbiased source.

Whether Shukrijumah is a intelligence “legend”, a low-level intelligence asset, or the “mastermind” that FBI agent LeBlanc claims, the discussion still collapses when viewed against the backdrop of known historical and post-9/11 fact. “Terrorism” is still a red herring.

As amply documented over the years by Michel Chossudovsky and others, “Islamic terrorism”, including “Al-Qaeda”, the Taliban, etc. are assets of the CIA a myth designed to obscure a vast covert operation and war plan. The “Militant Islamic Network” was created by the CIA, and has continued to operate on behalf of Anglo-American military-intelligence interests. “Terrorists” were key Washington CIA assets during the wars in Kosovo, Chechnya, etc.. Shukrijumah’s boss, Osama bin Laden is a product of the CIA, is a military-intelligence asset who may be dead, or a myth.

Covert Action Quarterly featured the following summation box in many of its post-9/11 issues:

“9/11 cover-up continues:

*Carter administration=CIA-Islamists of Afghanistan

*Carter administration=CIA=Islamists of Iran

*al-Qaeda=Saudi=CIA-=Reagan administration collaborations in Afghanistan and Sudan

*al-Qaeda=CIA=Clinton administration collaborations in Albania, Algeria, Bosnia, Chechnya, Iraq, Libya, Sudan”

We can now add to this:

*Bush/Cheney and Obama administrations=CIA=Afghanistan, Iraq, Pakistan

Put succinctly by Mike Ruppert in Crossing the Rubicon:

“Given the degree of documented intelligence penetration of al Qaeda; the fact that Osama bin Laden had been a CIA asset during the first Afghan conflict against the Soviets; the fact that a number of the so-called hijackers and/or al Qaeda members had been trained in CIA training camps in Chechnya; had fought in CIA/US-sponsored guerrilla conflicts (e.g. in Kosovo with the KLA in 2000), or had received military training at US installations; given all that, it is reasonable to assume that one or more top al Qaeda officials were in fact double or triple agents. They worked to further an agenda originating out of Washington, strongly influenced by Tel Aviv, rather than out of some ill-defined Muslim hatred of the US. In this class I would include people like Khalid Sheikh Muhammad (KSM), Ramzi bin al-Shibh, and Mohammad Atta.”

“…In covert operations, the best kind of an asset is one that has no idea who is really “running” him. That is not to say that I don’t believe there are terrorists out there who would do any kind of damage they possibly could to the United States. Even if there weren’t any before 9/11 (and there were), the US has gone out of its way to create animosity against this country that is in full flower all over the globe. What is clear is that the government’s assertions that 19 hijackers, funded from caves in Afghanistan, were able to excecute what happened on September 11th is beyond ludicrous. It is also that case that the government has never proven to anybody by any standard other than that used by Randolph Hearst.”

What about Shukrijumah’s link to the New York subway bomb plot? That incident has been linked to Jaish-e-Muhammad, a CIA front. Therefore, any Shukrijumah connection to this event also points to way to the CIA.

It is amusing that a USA Today article about Shukrijumah notes how the hunt for “Al-Qaeda” always comes back to Florida. If the writer of this piece had truly dug into Florida’s long history of covert operations, dirty politics (the Bushes), narcotrafficking, etc. the writer would not have to ask why.

Investigative journalist Dan Hopsicker exposed the Florida links to the so-called 9/11 hijackers, including their military training, and connections to Floridians with military-intelligence and the Bush family, in a series of articles, and in the video Mohammad Atta and the Venice Flying Circus. From a propaganda perspective, placing Shukrijumah into this same framework simply makes sense, as Kupferberg notes.

According to Shukrijumah's mother, her son is “not a mastermind, but a nice boy” who last contacted her right after 9/11, allegedly from Afghanistan. If Shukrijumah’s radicalization was triggered by 9/11 itself, one could argue that (assuming that he is a real terrorist) he is yet another by-product of Bush/Cheney’s violence.


The Big Lie redux

Both the “Ground Zero mosque” and Shukrijumah stories have gone “viral”. The noise surrounding both is certain to be even more deafening, even more outrageous, as election season intensifies, and Obama ramps up its war. Another anniversary of 9/11 approaches, complete with tear-soaked howling over the official lies.

The “terror” threat---perpetual fear of a fabricated outside enemy--- is central to Anglo-American geostrategy. It is being strenuously nurtured. Insanity continues to prevail.

“Al-Qaeda” the eternal covert operation and propaganda apparatus, is being given yet another new boogeyman’s face. All issues surrounding the 9/11 still set off paroxysms of fear, rage, hatred, and violence, nearly a decade later.

The militant public embrace of “war on terrorism” lies underscores how that the 9/11 false flag operation has succeeded beyond the wildest dreams of the Anglo-American war criminals who orchestrated it.

The American populace supports the most pernicious 9/11 myths. It is being played like a fiddle. It is being “run” as effectively as any military-intelligence asset.

Isn't the fuss over the Mosque a deliberate attempt by the NWO goons that run America to prop up the myth once more. Below is what has happened under Obama. The usual establishment flunkeys on both 'left' and right march against each other in the usual script selling 9/11 as al Al Quaeda affair, thus trying to minimise what has been happening.

It would be good if the US truth movement could intervene if it hasn't already on the issue and not allow the propagators of the Pentagon line to hog the limelight.


9/11 Truth Goes Primetime

In recent weeks, 9/11 truth has burst into the mainstream media in a
way not seen in the nine years since the attacks. Although much of the
coverage has been in the form of dismissive hit pieces, the fact that
the controversy about 9/11 is being covered at all has the effect of
legitimizing challenges to the official story.

In our media-saturated culture, pundits and publishers define the
boundaries of many people’s worlds. If it wasn’t covered by their
favorite news outlet, many people assume, it must not have happened –
or if it did happen, it’s simply not important. Then, when the average
news consumers talk to their co-workers or neighbors, who also get
their news from the same sources, each has their limited view of the
world reinforced. They exist in an echo chamber, where certain ideas
are repeated endlessly and others die a quiet death from neglect.

Few people are aware of how concentrated the ownership of mainstream
US media is. With just five mega-corporations controlling virtually
the entire media world, it is likely that many Americans can go an
entire week and not encounter a book, magazine, newspaper, song,
movie, greeting card, video game, radio program or TV show that did
not issue from one of those five corporations. It is possible for
people to believe they have been exposed to a broad range of ideas,
since they read, watch and listen to what seems to be a wide variety
of sources. They may never notice the ideas that are missing — the
topics which will never appear in a movie at the multiplex, or in a
major daily newspaper. There is the appearance of diversity masking
actual uniformity.

Without the cooperation of the mainstream media, the myth of 9/11
would never have been possible. It’s not just that legitimate
questions about the official story have been ignored and ridiculed.
The myth itself — the one about 19-college age Muslims overcoming all
the defenses of the entire US military-intelligence complex — has been
reinforced in thousands of ways. Despite the absurdity of the myth, it
is still believed by most Americans, partly due to sheer repetition,
partly due to a child-like faith in the integrity of their leaders.

A reason frequently given by those who still believe the myth is: “If
there were anything to it (i.e., the claims of the 9/11 Truth
movement) I would’ve seen it on CNN. Or Fox News. Or Democracy Now.
Journalists would jump at the chance to be the first with that story.
That they haven’t done that tells me that there must be nothing to
these wild conspiracy theories about 9/11.”

Within this environment, the recent spate of coverage given to the
9/11 Truth movement in mainstream outlets represents a significant
chink in the seemingly impenetrable armor of the official 9/11 myth.

On February 15, 2010, Elizabeth Woodward published a 9,000 word
article on globalresearch.ca titled “The Media Response to the Growing
Influence of the 9/11 Truth Movement,” in which she analyzed the shift
in tone about 9/11 since the publication in April 2009 of a peer-
reviewed article in the Open Chemical Physics Journal stating that
military grade explosives were found in the dust from the World Trade
Center. But even in the month since her article was published, the
coverage of 9/11 Truth by the mainstream media has accelerated.

Recent flurry of stories about 9/11 in the mainstream media:

February 22: The right-wing Washington Times published a 344-word
article about Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth reaching the
milestone of over 1100 architects and engineers signing a petition
calling for a new investigation into 9/11, due to overwhelming
evidence of controlled demolition at the three WTC buildings. Although
absurdly phrased as a “lingering technical question,” the article was
respectful.

March 4: John Patrick Bedell allegedly opens fire at the Pentagon,
wounding three police officers. Although Bedell was completely unknown
to the 9/11 Truth community, much is made in the mainstream media of
his alleged belief that 9/11 was an inside job. The New York Times
unabashedly demonizes Bedell, describing him as “unmarried, a regular
marijuana smoker and living with his parents, [who] seemed to slide
into a deep paranoia in the past couple of years.” If Bedell had any
positive qualities, they were ignored by the hundreds of news articles
eviscerating him.

March 6: Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad states that 9/11 was a
“big lie” and his words are covered by The New York Times, Yahoo News,
CNN, BBC and the Globe & Mail in Canada. The article on CNN collects
4,500 comments, while the home page of the New York Times website
carried a link to the article from a title containing the phrase “9/11
was a big fabrication,” exposing millions to a tiny nugget of truth.

March 8: The Washington Post carries an editorial criticizing Japanese
politician Yukihisa Fujita for his challenges to the official 9/11
story. Despite the harsh and belittling tone — Fujita’s ideas are
described as “too bizarre, half-baked and intellectually bogus to
merit serious discussion,” the editorial does serve the purpose of
informing the Post’s readers that a highly placed politician has
serious reservations about the official 9/11 story.

March 8: ABC’s “Nightline” does a segment about truth seekers at the
“Treason in America” conference in Valley Forge, PA. The reporters ask
leading questions and try to trap interviewees into making claims
which ABC clearly expects their audience to find ridiculous. ABC
avoids interviewing anyone who would be clearly sympathetic, such as
Bob McIlvaine, who lost his son, or Manny Badillo, who lost his uncle
on 9/11. The news hook for the ABC story is the Pentagon gunman, and
the idea that he is “not alone” in his suspicions about the
government.

Despite all this, ABC does include the statement that the 9/11 Truth
movement disavows the use of violence. And, at the very least, viewers
can’t help but notice that 9/11 Truth has become a substantial social
movement, which may prompt them to do their own research.

March 8: Jesse Ventura’s new book American Conspiracies, is published
and quickly rises to the 18th most popular book in any category on
Amazon. Jesse makes the rounds of a number of major outlets to promote
his book, including the daytime women’s chatfest “The View”.

It is a maxim of the public relations industry that, if you are an
unknown, there is no such thing as bad publicity. (Obviously for
McDonald’s or Coke there could be.) So, despite the harsh tone of many
of these news pieces, they do more good than harm to the Truth
movement, as they put the issue into minds that may have simply never
considered that the story they were told about 9/11 was a lie.

I have realised since the age of about 12-13 that corruption seems to be behind the government of our world, this was also around the same time as 9/11 happened and even at that young age i knew the "official" story didn't make sense and that there was gaps in their account. I , like so may people i can remember exactly where i was and what i was doing on the day of September the 11Th, i was in class at the time, in fact it was in modern studies of all subjects, and a teacher came into the room to tell our teacher what had happened however she wasn't very incognito as everyone in the classroom could tell that something big had happened however we all assumed that it was a personal matter as the teacher looked extremely distressed at the news which had been whispered in her ear. After a few moments of silence another classmate plucked up the courage to ask what we had all been thinking and so she said " Miss, what's wrong", our teacher then preceded to tell us to put our books down and she explained what the twin towers were and that a plane had hit them however even she didn't know the who or why which was to be later explained. I went home quickly to watch what had happened but couldn't believe what i was seeing and then listen to the explanation given and i started to ask the questions in my mind. I remember that even at that young age i found the story i and may others were being told didn't make sense, the questions ranged from "how come some men in caves do this" to "who is Bin Laden and Al Qaeda", when i started to hear about this man Bin Laden apparently being trained and used by the U.S when they were fighting the Russians, i felt that there had to be far more to this story, i thought to myself "how can a plane bring down a huge building" and also "why would they attack America and if they did why not attack the white house, why did so may civilians die and not one official?".

There are literally MILLIONS of people worldwide questioning the official narrative, almost everyone I know is either convinced it's faulse or has serious questions about it! Where is their media attention? Where is Fox? BBC? CNN? etc?

One fruitcake wants to burn a book he owns and we get this media circus! We live in a world of over 8 BILLION people and they zoom in of one fruitcake pastor, with a congragation of no more than 50 and a Mosque funded by the Saudi's, which is planned to be built 5 blocks from ground zero! YOu could not make this up. Every year another distraction from the truth. What comes next year?

Well it is one of their good moves, but it also shows how desperate they are.

As you rightly say, by now most people have realized something shady must have happened, so the sick elitists simply try to divert the debate (because in an open, rational, specific debate they're bound to get obliterated).

One needs to lament the state of the mainstream media though: far from checking authority, they have become a guide for what is not true.

As the giant Gore Vidal says in the clip below, it's a bit like reading the Pravda ('Truth') and figuring out the truthful bits from the propaganda.

Also note that it is crucial that we actively supplant the mainstream journos.

Untangling the Bizarre CIA Links to the Ground Zero Mosque

So far, the debate over the proposed Islamic center near Ground Zero has unfolded along predictable lines, with the man at the center of the project, Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, drawing attacks from the right painting him as a terrorist sympathizer with ties to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood.

But meanwhile, links between the group behind the controversial mosque, the CIA and U.S. military establishment have gone unacknowledged.

For instance, one of the earliest backers of the nonprofit group, the Cordoba Initiative, that is spearheading the Ground Zero mosque, is a 52-year-old Scarsdale, New York, native named R. Leslie Deak. In addition to serving on the group's board of advisors since its founding in 2004 by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, Deak was its principal funder, donating $98,000 to the nonprofit between 2006 and 2008. This figure appears to represent organization's total operating budget—though, oddly, the group reported receipts of just a third of that total during the same time period.

Deak describes himself as a "Practicing Muslim with background in Christianity and Judaism, [with] in-depth personal and business experiences in the Middle East, living and working six months per year in Egypt." Born into a Christian home, Deak became an Orthodox Jew and married a Jewish woman before converting to Islam when he married his current wife, Moshira Soliman, with whom he now lives in Rye.

Leslie Deak's resume also notes his role as "business consultant" for Patriot Defense Group, LLC, a private defense contractor with offices in Winter Park, Florida, and in Tucson. The only names listed on the firm's website are those of its three "strategic advisers." These include retired four-star General Bryan "Doug" Brown, commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command until 2007, where he headed "all special operations forces, both active duty and reserve, leading the Global War On Terrorism," and James Pavitt, former deputy director for operations at the Central Intelligence Agency, where he "managed the CIA's globally deployed personnel and nearly half of its multi-billion dollar budget" and "served as head of America's Clandestine Service, the CIA's operational response to the attacks of September 11, 2001."

Besides Pavitt, Brown and a third advisor, banker Alexander Cappello, the Patriot Defense Group is so secretive it doesn't even name its management team, instead describing its anonymous CEO as a former Special Forces and State Department veteran, the group's managing director as a former CIA officer experienced in counter-terrorism in hostile environments and the group's corporate intelligence head as a "23-year veteran of the U.S. Secret Service who worked on the personal security details of former Presidents Bush and Clinton."

Patriot Defense Group's primary business involves leveraging its government connections and know-how. The firm is divided into two divisions: one that "focuses exclusively on the needs of the U.S. military and law enforcement communities as well as the requirements of friendly foreign governments," and a corporate division, which "provides business intelligence and specialized security services to corporate clients and high net-worth family enterprises."

So, to recap: From 2006 to 2008, R. Leslie Deak worked as a "business consultant" to this super-secretive security contractor with ties to the CIA and counterterrorism forces, and in those same three years he also donated nearly $100,000 in seed money to the foundation now advocating the construction of the so-called Ground Zero Mosque.

Interestingly, during the same three-year period during which the Deak Family Foundation was financing the Cordoba Initiative, Deak also donated a total of $101,247 to something called the National Defense University Foundation. The National Defense University is a network of war and strategy colleges and research centers (including the National War College) funded by the Pentagon, designed to train specialists in military strategy. The organization recently announced a November 5 dinner gala in honor of Defense Secretary and former CIA chief Robert Gates. Sponsors include Northrup Grumman, Boeing, Lockheed Martin and...the Patriot Defense Group.

Deak also sits on the NDUF's board of directors, the chairman of which is Mark Treanor, the former general counsel for Wachovia bank from 1998 through its collapse in 2008 and a major bundler of campaign donations for the McCain-Palin ticket in 2008. Wachovia, now owned by Wells Fargo, was recently fined $160 million for laundering "at least $110 million" in Mexican drug moneybetween 2003 and 2008, while Treanor was Wachovia's general counsel, though the figure is likely higher since Wachovia admitted it didn't put any controls on at least $420 billion—that's billion—in cash moved through its network of Mexico currency exchanges.

Which leads to another odd coincidence: Laundering money for drug lords is what brought down Deak & Co., the company run by Leslie Deak's father, Nicholas Deak, years ago. The elder Deak, a former top intelligence commander during World War II for the OSS (the forerunner of the CIA), was the founder of Deak-Perera, which became for a time one of the world's biggest foreign currency and gold dealers. But in 1984, a Presidential Commission on Organized Crime accused the firm of acting as a money laundering operation for Columbia drug cartels, who reportedly brought sacks of cash containing tens of millions of dollars into Deak's Manhattan offices. By the end of 1984, Deak & Co. had declared bankruptcy, and a year later, Nicholas Deak was murdered in the company's headquarters at 29 Broadway by a deranged homeless woman.

After the firm went bankrupt and Leslie Deak was left on his own, the corporation was broken up and sold off in pieces. One company that traces its beginnings to the defunct Deak empire is Goldline International, a business concern well known to fans of Glenn Beck as well as California investigators. Goldline is to Glenn Beck what General Electric was to Ronald Reagan: The company sponsors Beck's TV and radio shows as well as his touring act, and Beck is its public face. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, along with the Santa Monica City Attorney's office, are currently investigating Goldline for defrauding customers by railroading gullible customers into buying their most debased products.

Speaking of Glenn Beck, it has been reported that Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, the second-largest shareholder in News Corp., the parent company Fox News, which airs Beck's program, is also a major funder of Imam Rauf's projects, as Jon Stewart viewers heard all about last week.

Coincidences happen, of course. (For instance, Pamela Geller, the blogger who's become the leading voice denouncing the mosque project was once, bizarrely enough, associate publisher of The New York Observer.)

But add to this array of unexpected connections the work of Imam Rauf on behalf of the U.S. government—which includes serving as an FBI "consultant" and being recruited as a spokesperson by longtime George W. Bush confidante Karen Hughes, who headed up the administration's propaganda efforts in the Muslim world—and a compelling picture begins to emerge. Bush's favorite Imam, with backing from a funder with connections to the CIA, the Pentagon and the currency trading company that now sponsors rightwing firebrand Glenn Beck, proposes to build a mosque around the corner from the site of the most devastating terrorist attack ever visited on America. In the name of "[cultivating] understanding among all religions and cultures," he puts forth a project that offends a majority of Americans and deals a significant setback to the broader acceptance of Muslim-Americans. It's a little like Billy "White Shoes" Johnson claiming the only reason he moonwalks after scoring a touchdown is to lower tensions on the football field and raise the other team's spirits.

Whether the Cordoba Initiative ever gets its way with the Ground Zero Mosque, it may well have a lasting legacy at odds with its stated intention: By damaging the very moderates and progressives who actually view New York, and the nation as a whole, as a tolerant melting pot, and strengthening the position demagogues on both sides, it will almost certainly deal a setback to interfaith relations. It will also help to hobble the Democratic party. Which just might have been the point all along.

Either that, or it's merely a coincidence that this controversy has erupted now, during crucial mid-term elections. In which case we can all go back to what we were doing before—either denouncing the Park51 Mosque as an affront to Americans, or championing it as a symbol of our fundamental rights-playing our accustomed roles in a drama that seems too perfect, somehow, to believe.

Do you find how they make "Mosque in Ground Zero" a noisy market of discussion and the "Burning the Kulan" a hot issue as well? The Koran burning was a provocation - but this speech at the UN is a superb response - BTW acceptance or rejection of Ahmedinejad's words below seems to be an acid test for truthers.
