East Timor was the longest Human Rights campaign I have concentrated on (though there were others which were longer and run in tandem, but didn't concentrate on).
The takeover of Indonesia by Suharto was an obvious 'False Flag' scenario, with 5 nationalist Generals loyal to Soekarno kidnapped and killed by 'Communists' (shades of 'Gladio'), leading to a massive bloodbath of Communists and anyone else that was anti-Western or Nationalist, and the offering up of Indonesian mineral wealth to the multinationals.
For a long time, I have suspected Xanana was 'turned', or an Indon asset before he was 'captured'.
Leader of the East Timorese Resistance (since Lobatao, a genuine Resistance leader was beheaded by the Indons on capture), Xanana seems to have led a charmed life.
Though his fighters were killed left, right and center, he always survived; he even arranged a meeting with the pro-Timor Bishop of East Timor, which went ahead with Xanana getting away with it.
Now, a jounalist, 'Mark Davis' (no comment) gets an Indon video of Xanana's extremely humane capture (not an Indonesian speciality):

Xanana is widely criticised as Prime Minister for apparently favouring relatives and cronies with lucrative posts or contracts, and for lack of transparancy.
Thank you, 'Mark Davis', for consolidating my serious suspicions. _________________ 'And he (the devil) said to him: To thee will I give all this power, and the glory of them; for to me they are delivered, and to whom I will, I give them'. Luke IV 5-7. |
