Propaganda war on M.E: Why a 'top secret' document?

There is a vicious disinformation campaign being waged against those with chronic fatigue and m.e (myalgic encephalomyelitis).
This campaign propogates the myth that m.e or c.f.s are 'all in the mind', is caused by mental illness, and those who are sufferes who dare question this approach will be seen as 'in denial'.
The latest incident is a dr clarke who's claims of receiving death threats from some people with m.e, have been loudly reported in the mainstream media, hence the association is being made that those with m.e who question the propoganda that it is a mental illness, will now be associated in the public's mind as ' extremists. These 'threatening' emails will be used as 'evidence' that those with m.e must be suffering from a mental illness.Whenspeaking on LBC none of the emails she read out were more threatening than a few swear words. One wonders who are the originators of these emails and why the DR went public? are the emails from an 'agent provocateur?' Is Dr Clarke willingly or unknowingly being used in a smear campaign against m.e/c.f.s sufferers and their supporters who refute the cause to be mental illness?
However the facts of the case which WONT be reported on by the msm, are as follows:
1) Only m.e and c.f.s have been subjected to an onslaught of so called expert opinion that it is a mental illness.
2) The World Health Organisation classified m.e/c.f.s as a physiological illness
3) Research is only funded if it includes a bias towards looking for a mental cause rather than a physiological one, even if they say that they are looking into all causes.
4) m.e and c.f.s are a set of symptoms whose causes may be varied and due to lack of proper adeuquate testing. For instance some have Lymes disease, some have underactive or deficient thyroid function, th full tests of which are NOT available on the NHS.
5) documents from the national archives office in Kew, London, state that the government of that day (the 1980's) were concerned about the financial implications of finding that the illness was physiological and so instructed the GMC to ensure that only standard NHS yest would be available for those with m.e/c.f.s, hence missing diagnosis of lymes disease and thyroid malfunction (on the latter, only 2 tests are avaialble on the nhs.)
6) This is very strange - M.E is the only illness that has a top secret government document that is not to be released until 2023. Why the secrecy?


What you can do to help:
write to the bbc trust complianing about lack of adequate reporting of the above facts.
write to your MP regarding the above, and point out how the benefits sytem now discriminates against m.e/c.f.s sufferers. The latest attacks on sick beneift claimants adversely affects m.e./c.f.s people. This govt and ones before should be ashamed that they have ignored the m.e/c,f,s sufferesr plight and continue to try to deny them thier benefits .The latest propoganda is very convenient.

Hi Caz, dr Clarke was interviewed by Victoria Derbyshire on LBC (surely BBC 5 live during the journalists strike) the morning of the day i posted this piece up. Maybe its online via the BBC website.
I will look for links to the article on the propoganda against m.e as well.
It is of interest to the war on children and families because there have been many instances of teenagers who are sick with m.e/c.f.s and are unable to attend school. The authorities in some cases, have tried to infer that the illness is 'all in the mind' and that there is a 'culture of illness' in the family, and often the blame is placed upon the mother who is considered a possible munchausens by proxy, or being 'over protective'.
No other illness seems to have suffered from such stigmatisation and vicious propaganda in the UK, except Gulf War Syndrome.
Both GWS and m.e/c.f.s are recognised in the states as physical illnessess. As with all long term illnessess, there is an effect upon the sufferers mental health due to stress of trying to cope with the illness, poverty associated with being unable to work except perhaps part-time, and other peoples prejudices. It is important to have a circle of supportative friends.
