Pepsi joined Monsanto to Defeat GMO Labeling - Boycott Pepsi Now!

Last year several major food companies made a fatal brand error by betting against the American people. During the 2012 election, major food and pesticide companies donated more than $46 million to run a ruthlessly deceptive campaign to defeat Prop 37, a ballot initiative to label genetically engineered foods in California.

Coming in as the #3 top donor, behind pesticide and biotech giants Monsanto and DuPont, was PepsiCo, the conglomerate beverage and junk food company who dumped in a total of $2,485,400 to deny Americans their right to know what’s in their food. Because of Pepsi’s financial support, Prop 37 and GMO labeling lost by a narrow margin of 48.6% to 51.4%. Pepsi’s contribution was a direct assault on the American ideals of openness, transparency and democracy.

Now Pepsi is using celebrity endorsements and events like the Super Bowl Halftime Show to whitewash their deceptive brand, hiding behind the celebrity and popularity of Beyoncé to cover up their betrayal of democracy.

Take the pledge to boycott Pepsi's dishonest and deceptive brands, like Mountain Dew, Gatorade, Tropicana, Frito-Lays, Lays and Cheetos - and ask Beyoncé to end her celebrity endorsement of PepsiCo's junk food empire.
