'Security officials in South Sudan have claimed they intercepted 11 United Nations trucks loaded with an assortment of firearms destined to rebels controlled area, a local paper reported.

Without specifying the date, the Sudan Tribute reports security officials in South Sudan's Lakes state claimed they recently intercepted 11 United Nations trucks ferrying an assortment of firearms and military uniforms destined for neighbouring Unity state.

Those items were enroute to Unity state, a rebel controlled area
