University of Kent - World Experts to Debate 'Was 9/11 an Inside Job?' 
 
Event:    A formal debate featuring world experts will be conducted at the University of Kent asking the question 'Was 9/11 an inside job?'
 
Date:     Tuesday April 1st, 2014
Time:    7.00 - 9.00pm
Venue:  Grimond Lecture Theatre 1, University of Kent, Canterbury

Edward Shambrook, a playwright at the University of Kent is producing a play about the allegedly misdirected and mistaken '9/11 truth movement'. He will argue support of the official story whilst Prof Niels Harrit one of the world's foremost scientists regarding the scientific evidence that supposedly contradicts the official story of 9/11, focussing on the mysterious collapse of World Trade Centre Building 7, a 47 storey High Rise Tower not struck by a plane, but which collapsed at 5.20pm on 9/11 in perfect symmetry and in less than 7 seconds. Joining Professor Harrit will be Ian Henshall, the UK's leading author on the evidence evidence that intelligence agencies knew that an attack was imminent and that they should have been able to prevent it.  
 
Adding to the intrigue of this subject is the recent revelation in December 2013, that two members of US Congress, who have been granted special permission by Congress to view 28 redacted pages of the 9/11 Commission Report, have been shocked by what they have read in those previously concealed pages, and are currently demanding that President Obama release these 28 pages for all of Congress to see.  The debate is likely to be a lively and controversial affair, and a sizeable and very divided audience is expected to atten

Did anyone here attend this event? Any feedback on how it went?

Yes quiet a lot of people from our mailling list attended. Unfortunatley, not many students. I dont know who was in charge of publicity as persumably this was supposed to be someone from the University, so it was badly advertised in or around the University, which is a great pity as it was very good debate.
Top calibre speakers were Ian Henshall, Prof Niels Harrit and Matt Campbell, for our side of the debate.
Only one person was speaking for the other side, Edward Shambrook, a student of law at UKC.
The chair, a lecturer, expressed interest in inviting our speakers back to speak to her students. Hopefuly this will happen, and possibly will help encourage other lecturers from other departments and other univeristies to do likewise.
We have tried to reach more audiences over the years, and managed sometimes. For instance, Cynthia McKinney, Nafeez Ahemd at SOAS, Annie Machon, Richard Gage, and others at ULU, the Genesis cinema Mile End, Two events at the Frontline Club.
Without a contact at Universities such as a lecturer or a student, it is extremely difficult to book a room/hall for an event. If there is anyone who can help us with this, then please contact us. We need to try to make inroads to colleges and universities as otherwise, thehistorical account of 9/11 will be the official one and we cant let history be distorted in that way.
