What affect would it have if we wore foil linings in clothing? Would it just make matters worse or reflect the current back?
Trouble with thick clothing is that in summer it looks that suspicious you might be mistaken for a suicide bomber and get shot dead rather than just tazered.
It does appear that the police or their masters are trying to create a bigger fear factor. Recent ads on buses show police in riot gear and balaclavas. gone are the days when a cuff round the ear from PC Plod was enough to strike fear into you.

A man and woman have died after police were called to deal with reports of an assault at a hotel.
Officers, who called to the Sirhowy Arms Hotel in Argoed, Blackwood, south Wales in the early hours, used a Taser on the man, who was arrested but died while in custody, Gwent Police said.
A spokeswoman said: "A Taser was discharged and a man arrested.
"The woman was located with injuries and was later pronounced deceased.
"While under arrest the man became unresponsive. Officers and paramedics administered first aid, but he also died."
The force said it had referred the incident to the police watchdog, the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Tasers are being used by UK police almost every day on children, some as young as 11 years old, according to official Home Office figures.
Since tasers were cleared for use on under 18s in 2007, their use on the young in England has grown from 29 in 2007 to 323 in 2011 - equivalent to almost one child every day.
The use of tasers on adults almost doubled between 2009 and 2011, according to Home Office statistics. This year two officers were sacked after they repeatedly used tasers on a man in Liverpool who had been wrongly arrested.
Amnesty International has reported that the death toll from tasers in the US now stands at 500 and has called for tasers to not be used on children, pregnant women and elderly people.
Sophie Khan, director of advice service Police Action Centre, is one of the most vocal critics of the use of tasers on young children. "The taser has the potential to cause serious injury and it is hoped that lessons can now be learnt, not just by Merseyside Police, but all police forces, that the taser is not a tool, " said Khan.
In response, the Home Office has said that the use of tasers has been thoroughly tested in trials and subjected to medical assessments, and that the use of tasers is governed by strict guidelines. It added that the chance of serious injury or death from being tasered was very low. UK tasers emit 50,000-volt charges.
In one high-profile case, a 12-year-old girl from St Helens was tasered, and police admitted that there had been similar cases involving children as young as 11.

despite the awful circumstances of the Argoed case it still raises the question about the lethalness of tasers. _________________ JO911B.

West Derby man who suffered heart attack after being Tasered wins negligence claim against Merseyside Police
Lawyer Sophie Khan represented James McCarthy, who successfully made a negligence claim against Merseyside Police for delays in medical treatment after he suffered a non-fatal cardiac arrest when he was Tasered in the chest in 2012.
She said officers should be trained to fire at the limbs instead of the chest while the safety of Tasers is examined.

She said: “The news that a man has died after the use of a Taser is unacceptable given that the police know that Tasers can cause cardiac arrest.
“The lessons from the previous case of James McCarthy have not been learnt. It is now time for Tasers to be restricted to firearms officers until the training given to the frontline officers comes up to a standard where the use of the Taser is deemed safe.”
The 25-year-old from West Derby was struck in the chest after officers were called to reports of a disturbance involving a group of men outside Albert Dock’s Premier Inn in 2012.
He suffered a cardiac arrest after he was hit twice, including one discharge that lasted 11 seconds.
Former Liverpool player John Aldridge today paid tribute to Mr Atkinson , who played with him at Real Sociedad.
He wrote on Twitter: ““I’m absolutely gutted to hear the news of Dalian dying.
“Can’t take it in really. My thoughts are with his family. So sad. RIP my friend.”
