Charleston Church Shooting Suspect, Dylann Storm Roof, Captured:
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/19/us/charleston-church-shooting.html?_ r=0

'CHARLESTON, S.C. — The man suspected of killing nine people at a prayer meeting at a historic black church in this city’s downtown area was caught on Thursday some 200 miles away in North Carolina, local and federal officials said.

After an intensive, 14-hour manhunt for the man who carried out a massacre that officials are calling racially motivated, Dylann Storm Roof, 21, “was arrested in Shelby, N.C., during a traffic stop” shortly after 11 a.m., said Greg Mullen, the Charleston police chief.

The police here say Mr. Roof, who is white, is suspected of being the gunman who walked into the prayer meeting Wednesday night, sat down with black parishioners for nearly an hour, and then opened fire.

The Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, the F.B.I., and the United States Attorney’s Office for South Carolina have opened a hate crime investigation into the shooting, which left six women and three men dead, and Chief Mullen has called it a hate crime.

“We will now be looking at all of the facts, all of the motivations that led this individual, if in fact he is the shooter,” to carry out the killings, Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch said at a news conference.

“It is really premature to determine which is the best venue, either state or federal, to pursue this matter,” Ms. Lynch said.

President Obama, speaking at the White House, said, “To say that our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families and their community doesn’t say enough to convey the heartache and the sadness and the anger that we feel.”

Mr. Obama said he had known the pastor who was killed, as well as other church members. And he called the shooting “particularly heartbreaking” because it occurred in a place of worship where African-Americans worked to end slavery.

The president said lawmakers should address the easy availability of guns, which he said helps make such tragedies possible, adding that he has “had to make statements like this too many times.”

David A. Thomas, the special agent in charge of F.B.I.’s bureau in Columbia, said Mr. Roof, who is from the Columbia, S.C., area, had not been someone who was being watched by the agency.

The gunman walked into the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church after 8 p.m., and the first call to police came shortly after 9 p.m. Among the dead was the Rev. Clementa C. Pinckney, pastor of the church, who was also a state senator.

“We woke up today and the heart and soul of South Carolina was broken,” Gov. Nikki R. Haley said through tears at a news conference.

Yup, another 'mad gunman' kills blacks (I wonder why the Establishment never gets targeted? Well, maybe not....), more grist for gun conviscation.
The guy's father apparently bought him the gun; he hadn't noticed his son was in no condition to have a lethal weapon?
On a hunch, I would guess the kid (21 years old) had been sexually abused by his family, as part of the MK-Ultra program. Be that as it may, this case stinks as high as Boston, Sandy Hook, Aurora etc.

Allen University Vigil Puts History in Spotlight

At a vigil at the Morris Brown A.M.E. Church, just blocks from the shooting, people joined hands and looked upward, swaying and singing as a chorus of “We Shall Overcome” echoed through the crowd.

The mood was at times grieving, at times hopeful and at times resilient. Calls of “enough is enough” came as the Rev. John Richard Bryant called for an end to gun violence. Near the vigil’s end, the pastor looked out on the packed-to-the-walls crowd and said: “You look like a quilt. You look like patches. You all fit somewhere.”

Said Governor Haley: “When hate happens, we come together, and that’s what we’ll do. So right now we grieve. And then we’ll heal. And when we heal, we end up stronger than we started.”

Sylvia Johnson, a cousin of Mr. Pinckney’s, said in an interview with NBC News that a survivor of the shooting had told her the gunman reloaded five times. The survivor said the gunman had entered the church and asked for the pastor. Then he sat next to Mr. Pinckney during the Bible study before opening fire.

“I have to do it,” the gunman was quoted as saying. “You rape our women and you’re taking over our country. And you have to go.”

Eight people died at the scene, Chief Mullen said. One person died on the way to the Medical University of South Carolina.

The police released pictures from surveillance footage of the suspect — a slight young man with fair hair worn bowl shaped — and said he had been seen leaving the church in a black, four-door sedan that was also captured on video. By midmorning Thursday, they had identified him as Mr. Roof, and asked people to be on the lookout for the car he was driving, a 2000 Hyundai Elantra GS.

Mr. Roof was described as being 5-foot-9 and weighing 120 pounds. His Facebook page says he graduated from White Knoll High School in Lexington, near Columbia, the state capital.

Dylann Roof, Charleston Suspect, Wore Symbols of White Supremacy
By JASON HOROWITZ, SHAILA DEWAN and RICHARD A. OPPEL Jr.JUNE 18, 2015
http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/19/us/on-facebook-dylann-roof-charlesto n-suspect-wears-symbols-of-white-supremacy.html

Dylann Storm Roof wearing a jacket with the flags of apartheid-era South Africa, top, and Rhodesia, as modern-day Zimbabwe was called during a period of white rule.

CHARLESTON, S.C. — The Facebook profile picture chosen by Dylann Storm Roof in May is thick with symbolism. It shows Mr. Roof, a scowling young white man, against a distinctly Southern backdrop: a swamp dripping with Spanish moss. His black jacket is adorned with two flags — one from apartheid-era South Africa, the other from white-ruled Rhodesia — that have been adopted as emblems by modern-day white supremacists.

Law enforcement officials identified Mr. Roof, 21, as the suspect in the mass shooting at an African-American church in Charleston on Wednesday night that left nine dead, including the pastor, Clementa C. Pinckney. Mr. Roof was arrested Thursday in North Carolina.

A cousin of Mr. Pinckney who had spoken to a witness, Sylvia Johnson, told NBC that the gunman entered the church, asked for the pastor and sat next to him during Bible study before opening fire. “I have to do it,” he said, according to Ms. Johnson. “You rape our women and you’re taking over our country. And you have to go.” The shooting was being investigated as a hate crime.

Mr. Roof’s current address is listed in public records as Eastover, S.C., a very small town southeast of Columbia with an overwhelmingly African-American population. On Facebook, many of his 88 friends are black. He attended high school in Lexington, about 40 miles west of Eastover.

More than half a dozen cars from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office were parked along the dusty driveway outside the two-story wood-frame home in Eastover. A man in a straw hat came out of the house and told a reporter: “Make your way right back where you came from. Get off the property now.”

From school records, Mr. Roof appears to have moved back and forth as a child between Richland County, which includes Eastover, and Lexington County. He attended ninth grade twice: at White Knoll High School in Lexington in the 2008-9 school year and, the next school year, at White Knoll until February 2010, when he transferred to Dreher High School in Richland County. Neither school district had records of his finishing high school.

A neighbor, Debra Scott, 50, said that she had seen Mr. Roof walking to and from a nearby market but that she knew very little about him or anyone else who might live in his house. She described the house as “very quiet” and said Mr. Roof “seemed like a normal kid.”

But Ms. Scott, who is black, said she was “scared to death” after hearing news reports that Mr. Roof wanted to kill black people. “My concern is that he’s saying he’s out to kill black people,” she said. “We’re the closest ones to him.”

She added that her grandmother had called her Thursday morning and told her: “Get out of that bed. That boy was from Garner’s Ferry,” the name of the street where she and Mr. Roof lived.

Mr. Roof has had two prior brushes with the law, both in recent months, according to court records. In February, he attracted attention at the Columbiana Centre, a shopping mall, by asking employees “out of the ordinary questions” such as how many people were working and what time they would be leaving, according to a police report. When a police officer questioned Mr. Roof, he “began speaking very nervously and stated that his parents were pressuring him to get a job,” but then admitted that he had not asked for applications at any of the stores, the report said.

Asked if he had any contraband, Mr. Roof said no, according to the report, but the officer searched him and found Suboxone, a prescription drug used to treat opiate addiction and frequently sold in illegal street transactions. Mr. Roof admitted that he did not have a prescription for the drug, the report said, and he was arrested and charged with felony drug possession. The case is continuing.

In April, Mr. Roof was charged with trespassing at the same mall. The police report said he had been banned from the mall for a year after the drug arrest. Mr. Roof was convicted on that charge, a misdemeanor.

The Daily Beast reported that John Mullins, who went to high school with Mr. Roof, described him as a heavy drug user who told racist jokes. He was “kind of wild,” Mr. Mullins said.

“He used drugs heavily a lot,” Mr. Mullins added. “He was like a pill popper, from what I understood. Like Xanax, and stuff like that.”

Mr. Roof “had that kind of Southern pride, I guess some would say — strong conservative beliefs,” Mr. Mullins said. “He made a lot of racist jokes, but you don’t really take them seriously like that. You don’t really think of it like that.”

Now, Mr. Mullins added, it appears that Mr. Roof was “not joking.”

On Twitter, a black woman named Kimberly Taylor who said she had gone to school with Mr. Roof wrote, “Dylann use to be a super emo, with long blonde hair and he was pretty quiet.” She was apparently referring to a type of music sometimes known as “emotional hard-core.”

According to Reuters, one of Mr. Roof’s uncles, Carson Cowles, said that Mr. Roof had received a .45-caliber handgun as a birthday present from his father. A person who answered Mr. Cowles’s phone said, “I haven’t really been associated with him for a number of years, three or four years, so there’s really nothing else I can say.”

Heidi Beirich, the director of the Southern Poverty Law Center’s intelligence project, which tracks the activity of American hate groups, said the gunman’s reported comments reflected a major topic on white supremacist Internet forums, which are preoccupied with the idea that whites are being hugely victimized by blacks and no one is paying attention. The specter of white women being sexually assaulted by black men has a long history as well, she said: “It’s probably the oldest racist trope we have in the U.S.”

Charleston Black Church Shooting:
http://winteractionables.com/?p=21899#more-21899

'.....Observations So Far
•Very sketchy, and silent on details, except somehow they had a good description and easy ID of white shooter down to his boot brand.
•FBI quickly on scene.
•Word of a bomb threat. This is commonly used in agit-props to keep media and onlookers away and control the scene.
•No identities released as of yet or much information on injuries.
•Footage looks obscured and dark but police and fire vehicles on scene. Could only locate one EMT vehicle photo. No med vac helicopters! Not much movement visible. One stretcher photo, victim obscured. No images yet from victims being removed from crime scene, key on this.
•Report of 40 people being led by police from church. People just wait inside blood-soaked church for the arrival of the police?
•Iconic grief and “black lives matter” photos quickly turning up. This is out of sequence and way too early for the acceptance stage of the grief cycle. Few signs of confused or panicking people in photos. In fact few signs of the community in photos at all.
•A social media site and hashtag #prayforcharleston goes up almost immediately. So far it looks largely genuine with agitators condemned. That could change with a swarm of agitprop trolls showing up. Track this. Also watch for the hallmark campaigns to raise large sums of money.
Pre-knowledge of the event on the Google time stamp is also a nice touch.

'The Charleston “Storm Roof” Agenda':
http://winteractionables.com/?p=21969#more-21969

'......Storm Roof’s Facebook page had 79 friends, about a third of whom were black. Did Storm suddenly wake up to some spiked coffee ala Sirhan Sirhan and turn into a serious racist killer with a special hatred of little old black lady church goers, as opposed to a mere badge collector with lots of black Facebook friends?

Next the media criminals decide suddenly to outdo themselves and include poor downtrodden millennials in their sick narrative: (Charleston, Dylann Roof and the Racism of Millennials) . This one reeks of Hillary reeducation fun camps.

Then we get this ridiculous narrative from God knows who: Dylann Roof is America, to pretend to be surprised is to be compliant. So let me see if I get all this straight: a young morose looking white guy named Storm Roof goes into a black church, accuses those present of being involved in raping white women and shots a half dozen elderly black ladies and some pastors? And we shouldn’t “pretend” to be surprised about this? Really? I think your rag of a publication is the one compliant, and criminally so. * you and the horse you rode in on.

And the what are the odds games goes on from there. It turns out Fun Camp Hillary was at a fundraiser a half mile away.

And you won’t believe it, but it happens that neocon ZOG senator Lindsay Graham’s niece Emily chimed in saying she “went to school” with Storm Roof. She had this little script to recite: “He was quiet, strange, very unsocial and everyone thought he was on drugs.”

Meanwhile he are Google images: Charleston Church Shooting. Do you see a single photo of anything indicating a real crime at all, let alone one of this magnitude? Have a look. Some how I don’t think we’ve heard the end of this. Keep an eye on how they handle the funerals.

"Who’s burning black churches? Arsonists hit at least 5 Southern congregations in the last 7 days"

This isn't being widely reported in MSM. (I notice that the title of this thread has not changed.) This looks like a concerted effort to sow division within the USA...

http://www.rawstory.com/2015/06/whos-burning-black-churches-arsonists- hit-at-least-3-southern-congregations-in-the-last-7-days/

Quote:
At least five black churches burned overnight this week, and three have been attributed to arson.

Last week’s shooting at Charleston’s Emanuel AME was perhaps the deadliest attack on a black church since the 1963 church bombing by the Klan in Birmingham, Alabama that killed four children. Since then, another specter from America’s violent racist history is again rearing its head – setting black churches ablaze.

At least three have been intentionally set on fire in recent days, according to a survey of news reports compiled by the Daily Kos.

On Monday, someone set fire to College Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church in Tennessee, according to local WATE. The arsonist placed bales of hay outside the church doors and lit them ablaze, fire officials told the station. They also burned the church van.

On Tuesday, God’s Power Church of Christ in Georgia was intentionally set on fire, authorities told ABC News. Electronics and other equipment were also stolen in the early morning fire. Authorities told reporters there is “no evidence” of a hate crime.

On Wednesday, Briar Creek Baptist Church in North Carolina burned in the middle of the night, causing $250,000 in damage, NBC News reports. Authorities are investigating whether the intentional blaze was a hate crime. It took 75 firefighters to bring it under control.

On Friday, Glover Grove Missionary Baptist Church in South Carolina, was virtually destroyed in an overnight blaze, the Aiken Standard reports. While the cause of the fire is still under investigation, the FBI has been called in.

Another blaze on Friday morning in Florida at predominantly-black Greater Miracle Apostolic Holiness Church caused $700,000 in damage. The fire is under investigation but fire officials believe it to be accidental, the Tallahassee Democrat reports.

Burning black churches has historical significance that harkens back to the civil rights era, according to the Atlanta Black Star.

“From slavery and the days of Jim Crow through the civil rights movement and beyond, white supremacists have targeted the Black church because of its importance as a pillar of the Black community, the center for leadership and institution building, education, social and political development and organizing to fight oppression,” David Love writes.

The Ku Klux Klan has ramped up recruiting activity in the days since the Charleston shooting. Residents in California, Kansas, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, and Georgia woke last weekend to find bags in their lawns filled with candy and Klan flyers seeking new members.

White supremacist Dylann Roof, who has been charged with the attack that killed nine at Charleston’s historical Emanuel AME on June 17, left behind a racist manifesto that said, “We have no skinheads, no real KKK, no one doing anything but talking on the internet. Well someone has to have the bravery to take it to the real world, and I guess that has to be me.”

The fires also come as activists and politicians begin the process of removing the Confederate flag from public property, sparking protests.
