Hello I am John, I am a philosopher and campaigner, and I write now to tell you about the Instagram Kids and make you aware of the concern about them. If this concern cannot be addressed, people who have become aware of them continue to be worried and distressed.

Who are the Instagram Kids?

They are children who appear on photographs on the Instagram account of James Alafentis, “Jimmy Comet”, the owner of Comet Ping Pong Pizza parlour in Washington DC

There are at least 72 of these photographs that have been shared on the web since they were initially discovered by members of various Chan forums. They found these pictures on James Alafentis’s Instagram.

They did this because as a large group, the Chan Forum members had been pouring over the “John Podesta” Wikileaks. These were authenticated Emails released by the WikiLeaks organisation

The discovery of an apparent code and symbiology associated, according to information from the FBI, with child sex rings in those emails then led these investigators to focus on a connection to food, and the Pizza Restaurant of James Alafentis, that multiple people in the circle of John Podesta are connected to in a variety of ways. The vast amount of information this represents has been collectively termed “Pizzagate”

In these Instagram pictures, we have a collection of images, some of which are somewhat banal, others of which are somewhat disturbing and decidedly adult sexual, and there are also images of children. There are at least 6 children in this collection of pictures, especially a girl toddler and a baby. Pictures of these children are associated in the Instagram chat panel with adult terms, or terms known to be associated with paedophiles. In one picture a little girl is pictured taped down to a table. In another a little girl stands in a basket being offered a satsuma. A baby is associated with the word “Hotard”, a slang term combining “whore” with “retard”.

I speak now not just for myself but for many other people, who will all share this message around the net:

Many people have seen these images, and been greatly disturbed by them. I have spoken to many of them. I have produced articles that have focused on these children, and there are people from all around the world as well as America who now have one overriding question that we MUST know the answer to:

ARE THESE CHILDREN SAFE?

It is over a month since these images were first released onto the internet, and in that time we have seen major articles from the Washington Post, New York Times, BBC, and many other media outlet

Not ONCE have we seen ANY of them speak to reassure that no children have been harmed:

And we say “For Shame on You! For Shame!”

Neither have we seen anyone from any authority within the United States, including organisations that take charitable money whose concern is supposed to be children’s safety, ask about the children in these pictures.

And we say “For Shame on You! For Shame!”

This must change:

TODAY!

We ALL have a duty to SAFEGUARD Children.

Anyone familiar with Health and Social care “Best Practise” will know the word “SAFEGUARDING”. This word is used to express the imperative in both child and adult social care: to keep a person SAFE from Harm
Harm can be via Abuse (actions that are taken that harm someone)
Or Harm can be via Neglect (actions that aren’t taken that harm someone (in-action)

Harm can be physical, emotional, sexual, financial, or neglect.

ALL children have a right to be Safe, Secure, Happy, Loved and allowed to be special to those who love and protect them most.

Let us ensure we make sure that is true, for these children Alafentis pictured.

Whatever Mainstream Media or Alternative Media are saying about what is real or what is fake:

These pictures are NOT fake. They are REAL. James Alafentis took or shared them. And multiple people including Alafentis AKA “Jimmy Comet” commented upon them!

All these children are on pictures Mr Alafentis himself uploaded to his Instagram account. Alafentis himself is the man ultimately responsible for the Pizzagate storm engulfing his business.

It could be that all of this is a very unfortunate misunderstanding. We do not know if James Alafentis has harmed children in some way, or not. We simply want it confirmed that none of these children were harmed. We all regret the violation of the children’s privacy with their images shared on the net. That harm cannot be undone. But we can ensure we do our duty to these children properly by confirming there is no need for concern and they are safe and well.

Equally: it could be all is not well:

Level 4: POSING: Deliberately posed pictures of children fully clothed, partially clothed or naked (where the amount, context and organisation suggests sexual interest).

We need to be assured this is not the case.

Therefore we call on the US Authorities to task appropriate child protection practitioners to identify and find these children, and confirm they are all safe and well.

DO NOT directly link pictures of the Instagram kids onto this note: if you do they will be deleted. The reason is, if these are Level 4 Copine images, they are child pornography, and if not, the children have a right to have their identities protected. All we need to know is the photos exist, and Chan Forum members can easily supply them to US authorities, who undoubtedly have a set anyway.

We simple ask that these children be safeguarded, and the public be informed the children are unharmed, so we can consider our concerns addressed, which we are fully within our rights, no matter what country we live in, to report to the authorities and expect action in response.
