The suspected gunman in the mass shooting at a music festival in Las Vegas has been named as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock.
At least 50 were killed and more than 200 injured at the Route 91 country music event near the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino.
It is the deadliest mass shooting in US history, with the death toll surpassing the 49 killed at a nightclub in Orlando in June 2016.
Witnesses described seeing flashes of light high up in the tower of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and a noise "like firecrackers" as a "clip after clip" was unloaded into the crowd.
The shooter was believed to have been firing down at a crowd of concert-goers from the 32nd floor.
A Swot team used a controlled explosion to enter the hotel room, where they shot Paddock – of Mesquite, Nevada – dead.
Announcing the suspect's name, Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said police had "located numerous firearms" in the hotel room and a search of Paddock's house was due to take place shortly.
Authorities said they had found a person of interest in their investigation, a 62-year-old female companion of the shooter called Marilou Danley.
Las Vegas Police have identified Stephen Paddock as the man who opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel with an automatic rifle, killing more than 50 and injuring at least 200 in the worst mass shooting in US history.
The 64-year-old targeted concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival at around 10 p.m. local time (PDT) on Sunday night.
Video and pictures from the scene captured the chaos and human toll taken as extended bursts of automatic rifle fire rang out.
Police are not investigating the attack as an act of terrorism at this time.
Following the attack, Las Vegas police found and killed Paddock. They discovered multiple rifles in his hotel room, according to Joseph Lombardo, sheriff of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Stephen Craig Paddock, the 64-year-old white man who police say carried out the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history Sunday night on the Las Vegas Strip, is described as a divorced retiree who reportedly liked to gamble and moved frequently. But he wasn't well-known to law enforcement.
"He was a guy. He gambled," his brother, Eric Paddock, who lives in Orlando, Fla., told reporters Monday. "He was nice to my kids when they went out to Vegas."
Asked by reporters if Stephen Paddock had been agitated about politics, his brother replied: "No religious affiliation. No political affiliation. He just hung out," adding that there was "not a bit" of a history of mental illness.

Police say that on Sunday night, Paddock broke out the window of a 32nd-story hotel room at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and pulled the trigger, raining a hail of gunfire on concertgoers at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival across the street. Witnesses described what followed as "nonstop gunfire" that sent people fleeing for their lives.
At least 59 people were killed and more than 500 injured.
When a SWAT team forced open the door of Paddock's room, police found him dead. He apparently committed suicide. Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said that more than 10 rifles were found in the room.
Speaking to The Orlando Sentinel, Eric Paddock said his brother had lived in Central Florida before moving to Nevada. He had some guns, but no automatic weapons, the brother said. "He's never even drawn his gun before," he said. He told CNN that his brother had owned "a couple of handguns."

Records show Paddock had been married at least twice and had addresses in Texas, California, Florida and Nevada. He settled last in Mesquite, Nev., about 90 minutes from Las Vegas.
Paddock had a private pilot's license and reportedly owned an airplane. He had a hunting and fishing license for Alaska. Lombardo said Paddock might have had a traffic citation — but had no criminal history in the state and that there were no immediate indications of such a history elsewhere.
The Palm Beach Post reports that a former neighbor of Paddock's in Florida said that when the two first met in 2013, Paddock told him he was a professional gambler as well as a real estate speculator. Paddock also reportedly told the neighbor that he traveled back and forth to Las Vegas.
Paddock's family also may have a dark past: Eric Paddock said his father held up multiple banks, broke out of prison and spent several years on the FBI's most wanted list. Speaking in an interview with CNN, he said sarcastically: "We're all proud. My father was on the Top 10 list for a while."

NPR has not independently confirmed that Benjamin Hoskins Paddock, the man from the Most Wanted poster, is the father of Stephen and Eric Paddock. A report in The Chicago Tribune from June 1969 states that a Benjamin Hoskins Paddock, then 42, was being added to the "10 most wanted men" list. It said the suspect had "once tried to run down an FBI agent with his car" and that Paddock, "known as 'Chrome Dome' in underworld circles because of his practice of shaving his head, has been diagnosed as a 'psychopath.' Eric Paddock said of his father: "I didn't know him; we didn't know him. He was in jail," adding that his father had "broken out of jail."
Other details about Stephen Paddock are sketchy, but public records show that he got married in 1977 and again in 1985. Public records show he was divorced from his first wife in 1980.
In the hours after Sunday night's shooting, authorities said they were looking for a woman named Marilou Danley who was described as Paddock's companion. As we've reported:
"Early Monday, the department said, 'We are confident we have located the female person of interest' — but they later clarified that they believe she was not involved. Lombardo says she was found 'out of the country' and that Paddock had used some of her identification."
FBI Las Vegas Special Agent in Charge Aaron Rouse said at a news conference that the bureau has "determined, to this point, no connection with an international terrorist group." He was responding to reports that Paddock had recently converted to Islam and that the terrorist group Islamic State had claimed responsibility for the Las Vegas Strip attack.
A Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department undersheriff called the attack an act of "domestic terrorism."

Police executed a search warrant on Paddock's house in Mesquite. Quinn Averett of the Mesquite Police Department described the residence as "a nice clean home." He said some weapons and "maybe some ammunition" were found at the home but that he could not give details on type or number.
At a news conference Monday morning, Averett described the neighborhood as "a retirement community. I believe 55 and older."
Lombardo later said officials had learned of an additional property in northern Nevada and that the FBI was in the process of obtaining a warrant to search there.
The sheriff said Paddock checked into his room at the Mandalay on Thursday, but that police did not know what he had been doing in the days leading up to the shooting. He said Paddock had brought the weapons to the hotel "on his own."

Stephen Craig Paddock, the 64-year-old white man who police say carried out the worst mass shooting in modern U.S. history Sunday night on the Las Vegas Strip moved frequently, buying and selling property in several states. But the twice-divorced retiree had one vein that seems to run through the middle of his itinerant lifestyle — a love of gambling.

Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said shooter, described by authorities as a "lone wolf," checked into his room at the Mandalay on Thursday, but that police did not know what he had been doing in the days leading up to the shooting. Lombardo called Paddock "a psychopath."
But in a news conference on Tuesday, Lombardo said authorities still did not have a motive for the shooting.
Paddock's brother, Eric seemed to rule out any ideological motive for his brother's actions. Asked if Stephen had been agitated about politics, he replied: "No religious affiliation. No political affiliation. He just hung out."

He did say that his brother liked to play high-stakes video poker. "He was a guy. He gambled," Eric, who lives in Orlando, Fla., told reporters Monday.
Although the Stephen Paddock had lived for several years in California and briefly in Florida, in recent years, Paddock seemed to gravitate Nevada — specifically the gambling Meccas of Vegas and Reno, which is where he may have met Marilou Danley, the woman described by authorities as his companion. His last address was in Mesquite, about 90 miles from Las Vegas.
He had another home in Reno, where Danley had worked as a "high-limit hostess" in the Atlantis Casino Resort and Spa, the casino said in a statement. Although Atlantis did not confirm the dates of her employment — reportedly from 2010 to 2013 — it did say she had left the job "several years ago."
Records show that a few years after moving into Paddock's condominium in Reno, Danley, an Australian citizen with family in the Philippines, divorced her husband of 25 years. Paddock sold the condo unit in Dec. 2016. Public records for Paddock show his first marriage was in 1977. He divorced in 1980. He married again in 1985 and was divorced from his second wife just five years later.

In 2013, Paddock bought a newly built property in Melbourne, Fl. NPR's Pam Fessler spoke to a neighbor there, Sharon Judy, who lived next door. Paddock told Judy that he bought the house for speculation and that "he wouldn't be living there, but he would come and visit." She described him as friendly and said he gave her a key to the house so she could check in occasionally.

"He was very open with us that he bought the house for speculation, that he bought other homes for speculation," Judy tells NPR. He also told her "he was a professional gambler, he and Marilou both, and that's what did. They traveled around, they gambled, they speculated on property."
Judy said the couple would stay at the house for a few days at a time and then leave.
Paddock "never talked politics or religion," she said. The couple told her that they gambled online and when they were at the house, they didn't wake until noon or 1 p.m., "because they were up all night gambling."
One other detail: "They would both talk about how they would go back to the Philippines and visit [her] family," Judy says.
NBC News says that Paddock wired $100,000 to the Philippines last week, but NPR has not independently verified that report. NBC says that Danley traveled to the Philippines on Sept. 25 via Hong Kong. Separately, USA Today reports that authorities were looking into "recent transfers of large amounts of money involving the suspect and the possible relationship to gambling activities."
Lombardo on Tuesday confirmed that Danley was in the Philippines and said she is currently considered "a person of interest." He said he did not know about the reported wire transfer.

Eric Paddock, who spoke with Amy Green from member station WMFE, said he doesn't think Danley will be able to provide much information about his brother's mental state in the lead up to the attack.
He said he thinks his brother probably "bubbled her from this completely."
In a story published Monday, Eric told The Orlando Sentinel, that his brother had "never even drawn his gun before." He told CNN that Paddock owned "a couple of handguns."
But that picture was at odds with what police found in the shooter's hotel room and residence: "We have recovered 23 firearms at Mandalay Bay, and 19 firearms at his home in Mesquite [Nv.]," Las Vegas Assistant Sheriff Todd Fasulo said.
As NPR's Richard Gonzales reports: "the office of Rep. Adam Schiff, (D-Calif.) said that he had been briefed by the FBI and informed that some, but not all of the weapons found in the hotel room were fully automatic. It was not clear whether those weapons were manufactured as fully automatic or whether Paddock had converted them."
In the news conference on Tuesday, Lombardo said he could not say if any of the weapons were automatic, but "we are aware of a device known as a 'bump stock'" that allows a user to increase the fire rate of a semi-automatic weapon.
Two Nevada gun shops confirmed that the shooter had bought weapons from them, apparently in the past year. One of the shops, Guns and Guitars in Mesquite, issued a statement saying that "all necessary background checks and procedures were followed."
Mesquite lies near the border with Arizona and Utah. Chris Michel, the owner of another gun shop in St. George, Utah, who met and spoke with Paddock three times earlier this year.
Speaking to NPR's Howard Berkes, Michel says that the number of weapons Paddock owned was not all that unusual. "I have customers that have hundreds of guns," he says.
Sheriff Lombardo said Monday that Paddock might have had a traffic citation — but had no criminal history in the state and that there were no immediate indications of such a history elsewhere.
Lombardo said several pounds of ammonium nitrate, a chemical compound used in bomb-making, was found in Paddock's car. On Tuesday, the sheriff said "numerous electronics, two handguns, five shot guns and a plethora of ammunition" were found at Paddock's Reno residence.
He said the shooter had installed cameras outside and inside the room, apparently to monitor for the approach of authorities. "I don't know the specific numbers," he said.
For years, Paddock held a private pilot's license. He had owned two different single-engine airplanes, selling the last more than a decade ago. Records show he allowed his license to expire in 2010. He also had a hunting and fishing license for Alaska.
Paddock's family also apparently has a dark past: Eric Paddock said his father held up multiple banks, broke out of prison and spent several years on the FBI's most wanted list. Speaking in an interview with CNN, he said sarcastically: "We're all proud. My father was on the Top 10 list for a while."

Lockheed issued a brief statement Monday morning: “Stephen Paddock worked for a predecessor company of Lockheed Martin from 1985 until 1988. We’re cooperating with authorities to answer questions they may have about Mr. Paddock and his time with the company.”
He also owned at least two airplanes. A pilot’s license issued to Paddock in 2003 when he lived in Mesquite certified him as a private pilot, Federal Aviation Administration records showed. The license required him to have glasses “for near vision.”
Paddock rented a hangar at the Mesquite Metro Airport between 2007 and 2010, according to the statement from Mesquite police. He stored an airplane there and paid rent on time, says the statement.

"You're all going to die" heard at the concert.
Police broke into his hotel room then killed him, then story changes to he was dead, committed suicide.
Ten automatic weapons and thousands of rounds for a man without a gun?
Is 'wife' Marilou Danley in the US or not?
Amaq says ISIS claims responsibility? What!
SITE and Rita Katz say ISIS claims responsibility? Double what!
Did the suspected shooter display any red flags?
The shooter’s brother, Eric Paddock, said ”we have no idea how or why this happened,” and that he felt like “an asteroid fell on us.” He added that his brother was a high-stakes gambler who had no association with political, religious, or racial groups.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation said the shooter had no known links to terrorists.
So what provoked the 64-year-old to go on a lethal rampage?
Our two years of reporting on mass shootings and the people who commit those crimes suggest that the most common indicator of future violence isn’t connection with a radical ideology, but whether the person has a history of violent or threatening behavior to those around him. https://www.thetrace.org/rounds/mass-shooting-las-vegas-country-music- festival/
Sunday night Las Vegas shooting at country music concert. Shooter in a high room at the Mandalay Bay Resort Hotel, a long distance away. Deadliest mass shooting in US history. 518 wounded, 58 dead.
With the body count and wounded numbers rising, and the concert shooter, Stephen Paddock, dead, here are a few questions:
At least ten weapons were found in the shooter’s hotel room. He had checked into the Mandalay Resort Hotel several days earlier. How did he bring in all the weapons? Disassembled? Did he have prior experience with weapons?
In an interview, Paddock’s brother said he was absolutely shocked, and his brother, Stephen, was “just a guy.” No motive, no reason to go on a rampage. True? False? What turned him into a killer? Had he ever been under psychiatric care? Had he been prescribed, for example, SSRI antidepressants, which are known to push people over the edge, into homicidal violence? If he was “just a guy,” did that include significant experience handling weapons? Was he capable of bringing all or some of the weapons into the hotel in pieces and then assembling them?
The Guardian: Paddock’s brother said, “He’s not an avid gun guy at all. The fact that he had those kind of weapons is just – where the hell did he get automatic weapons? He has no military background or anything like that. He’s just a guy who lived in a house in Mesquite, drove down and gambled in Las Vegas. He did stuff. Ate burritos.”
Police reports seemed to indicate, at first, that police broke into Paddock’s hotel room and killed him. Then the press were told that Paddock committed suicide as the police entered, or before they entered.
For a time, police were searching for Paddock’s friend, companion, roommate (?), Marilou Danley. Reports then suggested they had her in custody. But a later report indicated she was overseas, and the police were satisfied she had nothing to do with the shooting. How were the police able to determine that so quickly? Her absence from Las Vegas would not rule out the possibility she was involved in the planning.
Then we have this: “CAIRO, Oct 2 (Reuters) – Islamic State has claimed responsibility for a shooting that killed at least 50 people and wounded over 400 in Las Vegas early on Monday, and said the attacker had converted to Islam a few months ago.”
“’The Las Vegas attack was carried out by a soldier of the Islamic State and he carried it out in response to calls to target states of the coalition’,” the group’s news agency Amaq said in reference to the U.S.-led coalition fighting the group in the Middle East.”
“’The Las Vegas attacker converted to Islam a few months ago’,” Amaq added.
True? Bogus? An ISIS attempt to take credit for an attack, with which they had no connection?
Then there is the story of a concert goer who was warning people before the shooting that they were all “going to die.” Who is she? Is she involved?
The Express (UK): “One woman, who was at the Route 91 music event, claimed an unidentified woman had told other concert-goers they were ‘all going to die’ after pushing her way to the front of the venue…The witness, 21, told local news: ‘She had been messing with a lady in front of her and telling her she was going to die, that we were all going to die. They escorted her out to make her stop messing around with all the other people, but none of us knew it was going to be serious’…She [the winess] described the lady as Hispanic. The lady was escorted from the venue along with a man. The unnamed witness, who was attending the event on her 21st birthday, described the pair as short, both around 5 ft 5ins to 5ft 6ins tall, and looked like ‘everyday people’.”

More than 50 people were killed and over 200 more injured after the Las Vegas shooting, according to Las Vegas police.
Chilling video has emerged showing the moment gunshots ring out during the busy music festival, cutting short Jason Aldean’s appearance as the packed out audience escaped the shooter in terror.
Joseph Lombardo, the sheriff of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, confirmed the shooter, Stephen Paddock, had been killed by police, adding his flatmate Marilou Danley, who was sought as part of the investigation is now believed not to be involved.
One woman, who was at the Route 91 music event, claimed an unidentified woman had told other concert-goers they were “all going to die” after pushing her way to the front of the venue.
The witness, 21, told local news: “She had been messing with a lady in front of her and telling her she was going to die, that we were all going to die.
“They escorted her out to make her stop messing around with all the other people, but none of us knew it was going to be serious.”
She described the lady as Hispanic. The lady was escorted from the venue along with a man.
The unnamed witness, who was attending the event on her 21st birthday, described the pair as short, both around 5 ft 5ins to 5ft 6ins tall, and looked like “everyday people”.
Concert-goers were forced to flee after the gunman opened fire
She added she and her friends had just made it back to their hotel room when the gunfire started.
Marilou Danley, a person of interest in the Las Vegas Police investigation, was said to be an Asian woman and approximately 4ft 11ins in height.
Mr Lombardo said: “We have not located her at this time ad we are invested in talking to her for follow-up.”
There is no confirmed police link to the eyewitnesses' claim and Marilou Danley.
Ms Danley and her vehicle has now been located by the police, and it has been confirmed she is not believed to be involved in the mass shooting.
The shooting is now the deadliest in US history
Police are also looking for two cars, a Hyundai Tuscon B40 with Nevada plate 114B40 and a Chrysler Pacific Touring with the licence plate 19D401.
Both vehicles are registered to the suspect located the Las Vegas hotel.
The attack is now the deadliest shooting in US history.

59 killed at Las Vegas mass shooting: Photos

59 people were killed and at least 527 injured when a crazed gunman opened fire on a country music festival in Las Vegas.
Mr Lombardo confirmed one of the victims was an off-duty police officer who worked for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Another one of the department’s officers is in a critical condition, the Sherriff added he expects the investigation to be long and protracted.
Mr Lombardo said: "We are looking at in excess of 50 individuals dead and over 200 individuals injured ... Obviously, this is a tragic incident and one that we have never experienced in this valley. My condolences go out to the loved ones.
“That number for family and friends to get an update on loved ones is 1866 535 5654.”
While discussing the suspect, he added: “We located numerous firearms within the room that he occupied. All’s we know is that they were rifles. We are executing a search warrant on the room.We have officers at his residence, and we will be executing a search warrant there also shortly.
“It is going to be a long and tedious investigation. We are bringing in all the resources of the FBI to assist us in this investigation, in particular to their victim witness advocates and their CSI folks to help us process the scene and ensure that we are getting all the evidence that we can possibly obtain.”
Australian Brian Hodge, who previously worked at Jupiters Casino on the Gold Coast, claimed he was staying in the room next to the shooter on level 32 at the Las Vegas resort.
He said he managed to escape the initial horrific scenes inside the hotel but found himself forced to hide in a bush for several hours after the event.
“I got outside safely and was hiding in bushes,” Mr Hodge said.
“There were multiple people dead and multiple shooters. I was just hiding waiting for police to come get us.
Shooting on the Strip - How it Happened.
“We were hiding in the bushes outside waiting for the police.” Mr Hodge said he was staying in room 32134 while the gunman was in room 32135.
“It was a machine gun from the room next to me,” he said.
“My floor is a crime scene. They killed a security guard on my floor.”
Surfers Paradise Ultra Lounge bar co-owner Nathan Claridge, a globetrotting MC for the Vegas-based Thunder from Down Under male revue, posted video from the near the scene soon after the shooting started.
The 32-year-old had just left work from a nearby hotel when he came across people diving for cover and running from away from what sounded like machine gun fire which could be heard in the background.
Las Vegas shooting witness video
Mr Claridge, who said he shot video of the pandemonium from a car he was a passenger in, said initially it was difficult to pinpoint where the gunfire was.
He can be heard in the video saying: “Yo, what’s doing up there? Yo, where is that coming from?
“What the f..k?”
A voice can then be heard saying: “Holy s..t...gunfire down there...f..k.”
Mr Claridge posted the video to Facebook with the status saying: “Stay off the (Vegas) strip - leaving work in Vegas, multiple shooters up near Mandalay Bay at country music festival.”
Speaking to the Gold Coast Bulletin after getting safely back to his accommodation several miles away, he said: “I have never been involved in something like that before. It was nuts.
“It was surreal, it was like ‘Is this really happening?’.”
Gold Coast bar owner Nathan Claridge (left) an MC with Thunder from Down, was caught up in the Las Vegas shooting.
He and colleague Benny Cleary, of the Sunshine Coast, who was driving the car asked people if they needed help - and people shouted back at them to turn around and “just get out of there”.
Another Gold Coast woman and local business owner Jessica Winters said she and her partner Peter Tutton were locked out the back of the MGM Grand nearby after being evacuated from an internal restaurant twice.
Wendy Miller from Cooroy, on the Sunshine Coast, was also caught up in the attack.
She was at a bar in the nearby Luxor Hotel with her husband when she saw what she described as a “man of interest” run by.
“We managed to make our way back to our room…” she told The Courier-Mail.
“We are in lock down.
“Our door is dead locked and a chair against the door.”
Ms Miller said the man sprinted through her hotel after coming off an escalator from the Mandalay Bay.
“The man that they [security] were chasing was wearing a security jacket like them,” she said.

Stephen Paddock was a big fan of country music and it appears he went to Vegas on Thursday so he could gamble that night and check out the 3-day country music festival.
Recordings of the attack suggested that Paddock used an automatic weapon. Paddock, who arrived at the hotel on Thursday, was found with more than 10 rifles. A retired man, Paddock often visited Las Vegas to gamble and take in concerts, his relatives said. Public records show he was a licensed pilot, who owned two planes. And he had a hunting license from Alaska. For several years, he appeared to live in Mesquite, Tex. But property records show he chose to move to another town named Mesquite in Nevada, where he bought a home in 2013 and has been living there ever since.
Paddock’s family said there was nothing in his past that would suggest violence. “We are in complete shock bewilderment and horror. We have absolutely no idea how in the world Steve did this. Absolutely no concept,” said one relative, who spoke anonymously to avoid hurting other relatives. “There was nothing secret or strange about him.”
Family members said that Paddock spent much of his retirement in recent years staying in hotels in Las Vegas and gambling. They said he listened to country music and went to concerts at Vegas hotels. Antimedia
The festival was a 3-day event starting on Friday and ending Sunday. So he went there to gamble and watch the country music concerts. It makes absolutely no sense he would flip out and decide to kill a bunch of country music fans.
It Took Authorities an Hour and Twelve Minutes to Breach Shooter’s Hotel Room Door

Here’s an interesting tidbit of info:
“It’s a large hotel and that’s probably why it took them an hour and 12 minutes before they were able to figure out exactly which room he was shooting from and then to get to that location and figure out how they’re going to do the entry.” CNN law enforcement analyst Art Roddick
That is 72 minutes it took before they blew out the door and found Stephen Paddock dead “by his own hand”
How long did the shooting last you ask?
“The gunshots lasted for 10 to 15 minutes. It didn’t stop,” said witness Rachel de Kerf.
He stopped firing for an hour before they blew the door and found him dead? Why?
My guess would be that estimate is on the high side because time would naturally seem to slow for someone in such a situation. But still, even that one leaves about an hour between the last shots fired and them finding Paddock dead.
From what I understand, authorities weren’t even on the same floor as the suspected room for most of that time.
As officers approached Paddock’s suite, he opened fire, shooting a security guard in the leg, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo told reporters Monday.
The first responders retreated and waited for SWAT to take the shooter out. CNN
One full hour after the shooting stopped is when they breached the door and went in to find him dead. A lot can happen in an hour. Why did he stop shooting? There were still targets on the ground out there. Probably first responders and people trying to help each other. They found 23 guns and tons of ammo, right? So why did the “crazy man” on a rampage with no known motive stop shooting?
Food for thought I guess.

New photos show Vegas shooter's dead body on the floor of his hotel room after he committed suicide
In the photo, Stephen Paddock wears a brown long-sleeved top, black slacks, loafers, and black gloves
Next to his body are two assault rifles with bi-pods; one has a 'bump stock', making it effectively full-auto
Dozens of spent shells litter the floor and in one corner magazines sit in neat stacks
A hammer is also seen, which Paddock presumably used to smash open two windows in his suite
It was from both of those vantage points that Paddock fired on a crowd of 22,000 attending a music festival
He fired on the crowd for 9 minutes, killing at least 59 and injuring 527 - the deadliest attack in U.S. history
Video from outside the hotel room shows bullets piercing the front door, from when Paddock shot at cops
He set up a camera on a room service cart outside the room to warn him when police were arriving
By the time a SWAT team blew open the door to the suite, Paddock had shot himself dead
Investigators are struggling to find a reason for why the millionaire retiree carried out the massacre
He had no criminal record, and his brother says he wasn't religious or political
He did, however, like gambling and in the two weeks prior had carried out several large figure bets
In the week before he died, he also wired $100,000 to an account in his girlfriend's native Philippines
Girlfriend Marilou Danley is back to being a person of interest and is en route back to the U.S. for questioning
On Tuesday, Las Vegas authorities say they had identified all but three of the 59 victims

Less than 48 hours after the massacre on the Las Vegas Strip that led to the deaths of 59 people including the shooter, details of the attack are coming into focus. And footage from police body cameras offers a new vantage point on the horrific events.
Police say they received the first call that shots had been fired at 10:08 p.m. Sunday night.

The suspect, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, "fired off and on for somewhere between 9 and 11 minutes" in a dozen or so volleys, said Las Vegas Metro Police Undersheriff Kevin McMahill at a press conference Tuesday evening.
The shots ended at 10:19 p.m.
"I want you to think about that," McMahill said. "The first minute the police are aware of shots being fired is 10:08, and it stops at 10:19. That's a remarkable response by this police department."
Authorities with the Bureau of Alcohol, Firearms and Explosives said 12 devices called "bump-fire stocks" were found in Paddock's hotel. Audio from the attack suggested that the shots were fired very rapidly, perhaps as fast as 90 shots in 10 seconds. Bump stocks are devices that can be attached to a weapon and allow the shooter to use the power of the recoil to fire more quickly — and on Tuesday, the ATF affirmed their legality.

"The classification of these devices depends on whether they mechanically alter the function of the firearm to fire fully automatic," said Jill Snyder, ATF Special Agent in Charge. "Bump-fire stocks, while simulating automatic fire, do not actually alter the firearm to fire automatically, making them legal under current federal law. It is still being determined which firearms were used in the shooting."
On a screen before reporters, police displayed a compilation of body camera footage from the attack that showed scenes of chaos amid rapid gunfire.

"Get down, get down, get down!" yells one officer. In another video, an officer instructs people to run. In several frames, the view is obstructed by the officer's clothing or other obstacles but the audio remains dramatic throughout.
Police also confirmed the authenticity of photos showing the interior of Paddock's suite at the Mandalay Bay hotel taken after the attack. The photos were attained by the German publication Bild and published widely on Tuesday. McMahill said the police have opened an internal investigation into the source of the leaked photos.
Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg clarified the number of people who died as a result of the attack: 58. The previously reported number, 59, includes Paddock, whom police believe shot himself.

LATEST NEWS: Mandalay Bay casino Las Vegas shooting
EYEWITNESS: ‘Holy s..t gunfire down there’
A QUEENSLAND man on holiday with a group of friends in Las Vegas has spoken about the terrifying moment he realised the hotel he was gaming in was at the centre of a bloody attack.
Pat Shaw of Tamborine, south of Brisbane, said he and his five mates, who are in the US to attend a drag racing event, were playing roulette at the Mandalay Bay casino when a stream of people started running past their table, including police officers and members of the SWAT team.
Queenslander Pat Shaw was evacuated from the Mandalay Bay Casino.
Mr Shaw told The Courier-Mail that he had heard the gunshots but hadn’t realised exactly what the sound was until he saw police enter the room.
A picture taken by Pat Shaw from the Mandalay Bay lockdown area.
“We heard it but didn’t realise (what the noise was) until all the SWAT ran past with their shields,” he said.
“As it happened we heard the staff and security say they think there is a shooter out the front and then (they said) it was up on a high level, shooting down at the Route 91 music festival.”
Mr Shaw said everyone was ordered out of the gaming area and into a secure lockdown zone where they remained for several hours.
At one point the group watched as eight police vehicles suddenly arrived in the lockdown area and medics rushed into the Mandalay Bay.
Later, after police announced that a gunman had been shot and killed by authorities, Mr Shaw and his friends were told they were able to leave the lockdown zone and return to their own hotel.
A former Gympie woman was also at the scene, The Gympie Times reports.
Jessica Nelson was partying with friends at Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas when she heard the volley of rifle fire.
“We heard two popping sounds that sounded like fireworks,” Mrs Nelson told Sunshine Coast Mix FM.

“We then heard another lot of single shots.
“I looked at my friend Justin and the colour just drained from his face.
“He just screamed and I froze.
“Thankfully we were near an exit.”
She said the scene was horrific.
“The automatic rounds just started,” Mrs Nelson said.
“People were falling all around us. You wanted to get out of there as quickly as you could.
“Your first instinct is to just get out of sight.
“It was complete chaos.”

Another Australian man staying at the Mandalay Bay Resort has spoken about his close call with the Las Vegas gunman - claiming he launched his murderous attack from the room next door.
On Sunday, reportedly at least 59 people were killed, another 527 injured in a mass shooting incident during a concert near the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
Police blamed a lone gunman, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, called a “local resident,” reportedly firing from a window on the Mandalay hotel’s 32nd floor. Raw video footage from a taxi driver showed muzzle flashes from the 4th floor. The Harvest Music Festival took place across the street.
Did he take his own life as Las Vegas police claimed or did SWAT team members lethally shoot him? His brother, Eric, said “(t)here is no reason we can imagine why Stephen would do something like this.”
“We have no idea how this happened. It’s like an asteroid just fell on top of our family.” Stephen was “not an avid gun guy at all…He ha(d) no military background or anything like that.”
Police located Marilou Danley’s whereabouts, living outside America, thought to be his “companion” and “roommate,” calling her a “person of interest.” She’s not considered a suspect.
City police tweeted overnight: “Confirming that one suspect is down. This is an active investigation. (P)lease do not head down to the Strip at this time.”
Was it a lone wolf attack or something more sinister? It’s too soon to know. One gunman able to kill or wound hundreds of people single-handedly raises suspicions.
Nearly two dozen rifles and other firearms allegedly found in his room begs an obvious question. How could anyon get them into the hotel unnoticed? How many suitcases and/or satchels are needed to transport this arsenal, along with munitions?
Dead men tell no tales, so his account of what happened won’t be told. Witnesses on the scene suggested multiple shooters. One unnamed individual insisted there were more than one. It would seem likely given the high casualty count.
Even using a semi-automatic weapon, one shooter able to cause this much carnage singlehandedly begs a couple of questions. Were others involved? Was the incident as reported or a false flag?
It’s reminiscent of multiple July 22, 2011 shootings on Norway’s Utoeya Island, scores of children killed, blamed on Anders Breivik, called a lone gunman.
Several eyewitness saw two shooters. Evidence suggests Breivik couldn’t have acted alone.
Yesterday’s incident was also reminiscent of the December 14, 2012 Sandy Hook Elementary School incident.
The official narrative blamed Adam Lanza. Investigative work by Professor James Tracy questioned whether any shootings took place – “at least in the way law enforcement authorities and the nation’s news media” described things.
Contradictions abounded. Key questions weren’t answered. How did one alleged gunman fire so many shots in so little time and supposedly inflict so many casualties?
Connecticut’s coroner, Wayne Carver, and police officials said Lanza shot each victim from three to 11 times – 182 shots, one every 2 seconds plus likely misses.
Yet the official narrative called him the sole gunman, a youth with no military training, said to have used a 30-shot magazine in one weapon, having to reload over half a dozen times to have done the alleged shootings himself.
Tracy explained “(p)hotographic and video evidence (was) lacking in terms of its capacity to demonstrate that a mass shooting took place on a scale described by authorities.”
There was “no visual evidence of Lanza’s violent entry” – nor any “broken glass, blasted security locks and doors, bullet casings and holes, bloodied walls and floors,” no evidence that any more than small number of the school’s 600 students were evacuated.
Tracy concluded that the incident was an “elaborate hoax,” citing the following reasons:
1. “Proof of death (was) suppressed.”
2. “Emergency protocols were not followed.”
3. “Drill protocols were” used instead.
4. “(F)oreknowledge of the event” existed.
5. Reports about weapons used were “contradictory.”
6. No verifiable evidence indicates Adam Lanza’s responsibility for the shootings – after supposedly killing his mother, then taking his own life after the incident.
7. Authorities and media sources “displayed inappropriate behavior.”
8. Photos of the crime scene and victims “look(ed) staged or fake.”
9. The crime scene was deliberately contaminated and destroyed, making it unusable for investigation.
10. Alleged “(d)eceased children sang at the 2013 Super Bowl.”
Was Sunday’s Las Vegas incident another Utoeya Island, Norway or Sandy Hook-type incident? The fullness of time may tell.
Note: ISIS claiming responsibility for the Las Vegas shootings is meaningless. America supports the terrorist group. Why would it bite the hand feeding it!
On Monday, the FBI said Paddock has no connection to ISIS. What’s behind Sunday’s carnage remains to be revealed.
The official account has a familiar disturbing aroma. Was Paddock a convenient patsy? He’s not around to tell his side.
Federal officials, gaming operators and security experts were repeatedly warned about Las Vegas casinos’ vulnerability to a mass shooting in the years leading up to Sunday’s massacre, according to documents reviewed by International Business Times. A major insurance company mapped out the potential for such a disaster; a terrorist-linked publication cited Las Vegas as a likely target and — only a few months ago — an ISIS video promoted the idea of a lone-wolf attack on the city. The dangers led a Nevada senator to push gaming industry-backed legislation to help casinos obtain terrorism insurance, though he opposed stricter gun control measures. Even so, the Mandalay Bay Resort may be facing a significant financial hit.
Nevada law classifies as terrorism “any act that involves the use or attempted use of sabotage, coercion or violence which is intended to cause great bodily harm or death to the general population.” That designation could affect any legal claims and insurance payouts that stem from the attack, which killed at least 59 people and wounded more than 500. In financial documents reviewed by IBT, MGM Resorts, the owner of the Mandalay Bay hotel where the alleged shooter was perched, warned investors that its own insurance policies “may not be adequate to cover all losses in the event of a major casualty” such as terrorism. The company added that “loss of income due to cancellation of room reservations or conventions due to fear of terrorism…may not be covered at all under our policies. Therefore, certain acts could expose us to substantial uninsured losses.”
In 2014, a magazine associated with Al Qaeda listed Las Vegas as a potential terrorism target, and security experts warned that the size of casinos made them especially vulnerable to mass violence. At the same time, casino interests such as the American Gaming Association, MGM and Boyd Gaming lobbied to shape legislation reauthorizing the federal government’s Terrorism Risk Insurance Act (TRIA), which provides incentives for insurers to offer terrorism coverage.
“Without TRIA, the gaming industry will face costly difficulties in obtaining coverage, often required for critical community investments,” the American Gaming Association said in a 2015 letter to lawmakers. _________________ --

Has anyone heard a squeak from the FBI, the lead agency for terror and all kinds of potentially political crime?
“The LVMPD knows the motive behind the attack, but the FBI will not allow us to release the motive because it implicates the FBI in illegal arms deals and supplying arms to ISIS terrorists within U.S. borders.”
“Stephen Paddock was an undercover FBI agent who participated in multiple illegal arms deals in the Las Vegas area in a gun running entrapment scheme similar to Fast and Furious. Paddock thought he was engaging in another routine arms transfer, but ISIS operatives who were going to meet him learned about the entrapment scheme and Paddock’s true identity. They killed him and carried out the massacre, and then fled the scene.”
"Everything is being kept under extreme wraps because 1) armed ISIS terrorists are still at large and 2) this is very embarrassing to the FBI and they don't want their scheme to become public knowledge."
"We will be posting further information throughout the day, people within LVMP are disgusted and are pushing for this information to be released to the public."
and below - the horrifying prison camp layout of the concert
3 weeks ago, on 9/11 a mysterious 4chan user who went only by “John” made a series of at the time overlooked posts. He warned users to stay away from any gatherings of large groups of people in the Vegas or nearby Henderson areas. Stating that he had insider knowledge of what he referred to as a “high incident project” that was set to occur soon. While the poster was ignored at the time, since nothing seemed to occur on the 12th. The fact this John wrote “I can’t guarantee anything will happen tomorrow but las vegas is on their minds,” seems almost frightening now that just a few weeks later the largest mass shooting in American history has occurred at this very location. If we even consider the idea there could be any truth to such a plot in the first place, its not really all that unreasonable to believe the organizers could have simply adjusted there schedule by a few weeks. This could have been done for a myriad of reasons including just simply deciding the concert target eventually chosen served their purposes better. If true though even more troubling is the profit minded motivation behind the shooting that John went on to describe. He states this “project” will be done with an endgame goal of passing new laws in Nevada regarding casino security. Making pricey new security screening machines mandatory for all guests. With even further more ambitious plans to follow suit in our schools and other public buildings if the public goes along with the casino machines easily enough. He also specifically names former head of the Department of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff and Casino owner and billionaire Sheldon Adelson as the two men set to profit most off the wave of new regulations set to spring up in response to the Vegas incident. It’s not all that unreasonable even to believe that Mr. Chertoff might seek to profit from a new security panic in the wake of Vegas. Given that the man has already been accused of abusing the public trust by raising security fears among average American’s in an attempt to sell his companies body scanners before, all the way back in 2010.
While the media paints the shooter Stephen Paddock as a lone wolf type and seems mystified over the possible motivations for a man, who the media and FBI at least keep claiming had no religious or strong political ideologies. A new theory has been emerging in the wake of the revelations above. With new information now breaking that the shooter was a rather active vegas gambler with recent large transactions to his name. Could Stephen have simply been threatened into doing this horrible act by some third party, in the name of paying off some possible large gambling debts? His family as well may have been threatened. If Stephen wasn’t acting of his own accord, then a number of the seemingly unexplained parts to this whole story do start making a lot more sense.
Even if this is all one giant coincidence. The fact does remain that people like Chertoff and those behind similar companies do stand to profit quite nicely in the months to come from the new security panic this incident will likely produce. Recent headlines related to the topic going to prove this point nicely.
Yesterday we covered the rather perplexing fact that three weeks prior to the horrific attack in Las Vegas, an anonymous 4chan poster seemingly warned the sites users of just such an incident. This poster also outlined a secret agenda driving the actions behind the scenes of the attack, providing the elusive missing motive that even today both officials and the mainstream press don’t seem able to provide. We touched briefly in that previous article on the individuals and companies alluded to be behind the operation, but let’s dig a little deeper and see just how plausible this scenario really is. After all we wouldn’t want to be deterred by the likes of George Soros himself who oddly enough, posted this warning against conspiracy theories just a day before the attack when down.
Our mysterious poster specifically mentioned two corporations set to make bank in the political aftermath of Vegas. First up is OSI Systems, Inc. A company who develops and markets security and inspection systems such as X-ray machines, metal detectors, and other expensive security related devices. As of this morning the company’s stock price is now at an all-time high for the year. Potentially even more interestingly, after a recent low on the day of the 4chan posting in question 9/11, the stock has been on a steady climb upwards ever since. See for yourself here in the picture below
The other named entity, the Chertoff Group cannot be tracked in the same manner as they are a privately held company. The company describe themselves as “a premier global advisory firm focused on security and risk management. Whose professionals include former Cabinet-level officials, senior intelligence and national security officers, private-equity CEOs, and experienced investment bankers from the most distinguished Wall Street firms. For those organizations that require tactical security support, we work hand-in-hand with clients to conduct comprehensive security assessments, establish effective risk management frameworks, and build more resilient organizations capable of navigating today’s threat environment.”
Michael Chertoff, official DHS photo portrait, 2007.jpgThe Chertoff Group though leads us to its founder and one of only two specific names alluded to in the original post. Michael Chertoff the Harvard educated son of a Rabbi who served as head of Homeland Security under George W. Bush, and also happens to be the co-author of the Patriot Act. The bill responsible for the removal of more Constitutionally protected protected rights then any other in modern times. Beyond founding the Chertoff group, he also co-chairs the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Immigration Task Force.
As mentioned in the prior article Michael has already been formally accused of abusing his homeland security position to make money selling full body scanners. That is only the start of his past shady dealings however. As he has been involved in the stifling of investigations related to both 9/11 and Al-Qaeda. He also may potentially have the Clinton’s in his debt. As despite his close friendly ties to many prominent Democrats at the time, was appointed as special counsel to the Senate Whitewater Committee. A Committee which had been tasked with looking into allegations against President Clinton and his wife. Allegations that quickly went nowhere once Chertoff got involved.
The other name mentioned is almost just as shady in his own right though. Billionaire Casino owner Sheldon Adelson is heavily tied into politics. Long serving as one of the key GOP mega donors who helps the party win elections. In fact he wrote the President’s inaugural committee a 5 million dollar check at the start of the year, the largest ever donation to an incoming President. He is said to be frustrated currently that Trump isn’t taking a more extreme pro Israeli stance in his polices however. As Adelson is a strong supporter of the Jewish state, and even owns the daily Isreal Hayom paper, along with being in regular contact with Prime Minister Netanyahu.
US billionaire businessman Sheldon Adelson. (Flash90/File)
The real questionable stuff starts when you consider that the Chinese government formally accused Adelson and his company of helping U.S. intelligence agencies spy on Chinese officials. Beijing believed that the CIA and FBI were using Adelson owned casinos operating in Macau to gather blackmail material on their people. They took this threat so seriously even they prevented the establishment of a U.S. consulate in Macau over their concerns. This story came to light even only after an ongoing lawsuit had already previously revealed that Adelson ordered spying on local Macau officials through his resorts in the region.
las-vegas-sands-sheldon-adelson-cia
If nothing else, the two men in question, Michael Chertoff and Sheldon Adelson are certainly powerful men with a history of shady financial and governmental dealings. If you were going to pick two people who would simply have the connections and resources to arrange an incident like the one in Vegas, you couldn’t cast a better pair. Let’s keep in mind though its not like these two were called out to fit the narrative only after the fact, but rather singled out weeks ahead of time, along with the target location of Vegas.
With calls from all sides for increased security measures nationwide, it’s not that unlikely we could be facing the Patriot Act 2.0 sometime in the near future if the fear mongers get their way. Who could possibly be happier about that then the author of the original version, who of course just happens to own one of the companies set to profit most from such legislation. Nothing is a better motivator then money and power, and certainly both are to be had here in the aftermath of the horrific attack in Vegas. While all of the above could be a coincidence, at the very minimum these two certainly will likely both mange to profit in the months to come. Along with their friend Mr. Soros, who has actually previously made a killing investing in OSI Systems stocks in times of national crisis.

Las Vegas shooting survivors have spoken of their horror at discovering YouTube has been promoting conspiracy theory videos labelling the assault on festival-goers a hoax.
Just days after gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest festival, killing 58 people and injuring more than 500 more, hundreds of videos discrediting the events continue to proliferate on the site.
A cursory search for "Las Vegas shooting videos" on the site found one titled "Las Vegas Shooting Conspiracy? Viral Video Challenges Official Story" with 50,000 views on the first page of results.
Another titled "Las Vegas Shooting Narrative Debunked In 3 Videos" has more than 250,000 views and asked: "What is the media hiding?"
Stephen Melanson, whose wife and daughter were shot in the attack, called for YouTube to immediately take down the videos.
"When I see my wife fighting for her life with a gunshot wound to her chest, and my daughter was also shot, it’s pretty conclusive evidence that it did happen,” he told the Guardian.
"My daughter texted me … ‘There is a shooting right in front of us’ and another text said, ‘Mom is shot.’"
Another survivor, Krista Metz, said: "It’s not a conspiracy. It’s not a joke. It did happen. I was there...we literally thought we were going to die."
Facebook & Youtube dissemination of Las Vegas fake news is not helping their cause right now

YouTube is not the only site to be embroiled in controversy. Its parent company Google was also widely condemned after actively promoting blogs and conspiracy sites in the wake of the shooting that misidentified the gunman.
Facebook was also accused of proliferating the spread of fake news in relation to the shooting, despite taking measures in recent months to combat the problem in the wake of the 2016 US election.
It comes just weeks after Prime Minister Theresa May ordered YouTube to remove extremist propaganda from the site within an hour to reduce the danger of it inspiring further atrocities.
Her comments followed a damning report by Labour MP Yvette Cooper that found extremist footage posted by Islamists and neo-Nazis was still on the site despite it being flagged repeatedly to monitors.
One video that had been flagged but was still available on the site was entitled “Adolf Hitler was right”, another showed a Muslim man being attacked and Taliban propaganda was also found on the world’s second most-viewed website.
YouTube told the Guardian that a number of specific conspiracy videos did not violate its terms and conditions. The website said videos by trusted news publishers were promoted separately under the label "Top News". _________________ --

Martin Van Creveld: Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: "Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother."
Martin Van Creveld: I'll quote Henry Kissinger: "In campaigns like this the antiterror forces lose, because they don't win, and the rebels win by not losing."
(Natural News) Um, excuse me for a moment here, but I have a really stupid question. I know you told me there’s no such thing as a stupid question, but this one seems really stupid anyway.
The media has released photos of guns and ammo magazines laying around on the floor of the supposed “sniper’s nest” hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel in Las Vegas, but there’s something totally wrong with these pictures:
#1) Where is all the expended brass?
Now, maybe I’m just a moron who thinks automatic rifles discharge expended brass or something, because the last time I shot my rifle — which was yesterday — hot brass kept blasting out the right side port with every round. Very annoying. I wish I knew how to turn that off.
So, given that Stephen Paddock was firing full-auto rifles in a sustained 10-minute assault, at roughly the rate of six rounds per second, we should probably see massive piles of expended brass all over the place.
Let’s see: 6 rounds per second, times 60 seconds in a minute, times 10 minutes of sustained fire… that comes to 3600 rounds of ammunition. If you figure there were pauses in the automatic fire, you could discount that to maybe 3000 rounds actually fired.
Again, maybe I’m just stupid or something, but if Paddock fired 3000 rounds, there should be 3000 brass casings all over the floor of the hotel suite. (I know, I’m invoking logic and reason, both of which are banned in modern society and the mainstream media, but bear with me for a moment for the sake of appeasing a really stupid person…)
But what we see in the photos released by the media show only a tiny smattering of brass casings, almost as if they were thrown around to complete the staging of the scene:
Thank goodness the UK Daily Mail cleared all this up by stating there were, “Dozens of spent shells litter the floor… and a hammer.” Yep, DOZENS. In a mass shooting that supposedly involved the firing of thousands of rounds from this very location, the media proudly reports there are “dozens” of pieces of brass on the carpet.
Did the FBI sweep up all the brass before they took these photos? Maybe they needed the brass for their own reloads so they can stage the next shooting…
I also wonder why the media isn’t calling for a nationwide ban on hammers, since they can clearly be used in mass shootings. #BanHammers
And ban hotels, too, since they provide elevated platforms for mass shooters. That’s right, ban all hammers, but especially full-auto hammers, as they can smash hotel windows at an astonishing rate.
#2) Where are all the carpet burns from hot brass and hot gun barrels?
I must be really stupid, because the other day when I was training with my AR-15, I was doing an exercise called “keyhole shooting” which requires you to shoot at targets through nine different holes cut into a large piece of plywood that’s positioned vertically in front of you. Some of these holes are cut near the bottom of the plywood, meaning you have to lay down on the ground to shoot through those holes. Silly me, I forgot to wear a long sleeve shirt, and when I laid down on the ground to shoot from the bottom holes, I found my arms laying across hot brass that was expended from my earlier shots through higher holes.
Not surprisingly, I received serious burns on my skin for the simple reason that — DUH! — expended brass is really, really hot.
And I don’t know if you knew this or not, but the hotter your rifle gets, the hotter your expended brass gets, too. It’s apparently due to physics or some such thing. If you’re firing a full-auto rifle, some internal parts can reach temperatures of 400 C, which is hot enough to either cook a frozen burrito or set Maxine Waters’ hair on fire at the merest touch.
Now, at 400 C, most of your rifle grease smokes off, making it hard to breathe. After just a few hundred rounds, the air in that hotel room would have been unbearably polluted. It might have even caused global warming, which is exactly why we have to ban automatic weapons (plus full-auto hammers, see above).
Given that Stephen Paddock was smoking through thousands of rounds of ammunition, he was generating not only very hot rifles but also extremely hot brass that would have left burn marks in any synthetic carpet.
Where are all the burn marks in the carpet?
Wouldn’t you know it, but the carpet in this room just happened to look like a pattern of burn marks, thereby obscuring the absence of additional burn marks from brass or rifle barrels:
(Bet you didn’t even notice the carpet pattern until I pointed this out, right? You were looking at the guns and the dead body, because that’s what the media told you to look at.)
#3) When seconds count, the police are only 72 minutes away… but why?
I’m not trying to diss the cops here. As you know, I’m an advocate of honest, local police, and it’s clear that the beat cops did a fantastic job helping people seek cover on the ground below. But I do have an issue with the 72-minute response time during a full-auto machine gun spree in a city where there are dozens of cops within a one-mile radius.
Seventy-two minutes? Really? Was there a committee involved somehow? Why is it that the FBI’s former traitor-in-chief James Comey can decide in an instant that Hillary Clinton is innocent of everything, but all the cops in Las Vegas can’t breach a simple hotel door in anything less than 72 minutes?
No, wait. It must be Stephen Paddock’s white privilege. When you’re white, you get an extra 70 minutes to carry out mass shootings. But if you’re black, the cops shoot you in the first two minutes, you see. At least that’s what we’re told by the lunatic, deranged left-wing media which has declared war on cops (and war on the truth, come to think of it).
Just remember all this when you’re out in public next time: Even in a city that’s full of well-meaning cops who are doing their jobs, when seconds count, the police are only 72 minutes away due to the bureaucracy that runs everything. You might want to carry your own semi-auto pistol. And if you can find out where Stephen Paddock got his magical guns, you might even be able to find a pistol that doesn’t eject brass. (They’re also called “revolvers,” just sayin’…)
#4) Um, excuse me but I have another really stupid question…
So you know that rifle with the bipod they found innocently standing in front of the mini-bar? Yeah, I’m talking about this one, labeled #19:
Is it just me, or does this look exactly the same as the rifle shown in the photo with the dead guy, above? Same flared mag well, same bump fire stock, same bipod and even the same optics, it seems. If only we could see the serial numbers, we might know for sure, but of course they never release photos with that degree of resolution.
Can’t have the public looking too closely, you see, or we might keep asking really stupid questions like, “Hey, why were there originally just 10 guns reported, and now there are 27 guns being reported, but it really just looks like the same 10 guns re-staged and re-photographed to look like 27 guns?”
I mean, heck, why not make it 99 guns at this point? Clearly whoever set all this up really, really wanted to make sure we didn’t miss the guns. “Make it 10 guns! … No, wait. Hold on. Make it 20 guns! … Oh wait, why stop now? Let’s make it 27 guns! And then call for gun control!” Honestly, it seems the only person around here who lacks gun control is the police photographer.
#5) I swear this is my last really stupid question, but please…
This whole scene is being called a “sniper’s nest” by the entire fake news media, but I’ve looked and looked and I still don’t see a sniper rifle anywhere. What I see are a bunch of AR-15s that fire .223 rounds (or 5.56 mm for you metric heads). Sniper rifles are bolt-action rifles, not auto-loading semi-auto rifles.
Now, I’ve only fired about 100,000 of these rounds myself, so I’m still a newbie, but the last time I checked, these rounds are usually about 55 grains in mass, and they lose about 75% of their kinetic energy by the time they reach a 400-yard target (the distance from the Mandalay Bay hotel to the concert lot is about 400 yards). You can see the dope yourself at Gundata.org.
On top of that, the bullet drop is 32 inches, which is of course almost three feet of bullet drop. Now, given the elevated angle of the shooter, that bullet drop wouldn’t be quite as dramatic, as the coefficient of a 20 degree declination angle is, of course, 0.94. But the energy of this round at 400 yards makes it only marginally effective. It’s just at the outside boundary of the effective range of a .223 cartridge, as any good Marine will tell you.
Conclusion? All these casualties couldn’t possibly be caused by .223 rounds. Most likely, they were actually heavier rounds fired from something like a belt-fed AK system (7.62 x 39mm rounds), or perhaps even a belt-fed .308 automatic weapon. So where is all the brass, anyway? Did Stephen Paddock possess magical brass that can disappear after being fired?
I find it curious that ballistics details of the bullets that hit the pavement have not been released. All the evidence we need is all over the concert lot, yet the public will never be given access to details about that evidence. They also destroyed all the evidence immediately after 9/11, by the way. They called it “cleanup and salvage.” Really, it was a rapid evidence destruction exercise.
In summary, “mission impossible” could have only been carried out by a miracle Leprechaun who eats brass and makes bullets more effective than the laws of physics allow
In summary of all this, we’re told that a flabby 64-year-old senior citizen accountant with a gambling problem managed to expertly lay down highly effective fields of fire, killing 58 and wounding 500+ people by firing off thousands of .223 rounds well outside their effective range, all while producing merely dozens of pieces of expended brass that were magically cooled before they hit the carpet of his hotel room.
This was accomplished, we’re told, by one man firing 10 rifles… wait, no, 27 rifles all by himself, without any military training whatsoever. This same man set up a James Bond spy camera in the hotel hallway to monitor police in an attempt to defend himself against the inevitable police assault, then he just changed his mind and shot himself the moment the cops showed up… all for no apparent reason.
Oh, and one more thing: This same guy who meticulously planned the hotel room, the rifles hidden in the luggage, the huge collection of 100-round magazines, the window hammer smashing routine, the concert calendar dates, the monotonous lugging of ammunition to his room and even the guarding of the mini-bar when another assault rifle just happened to mindlessly leave a bag of ammonium nitrate fertilizer in his car even though it has no practical use in this scenario unless you’re growing Azaleas. (Yes, fertilizer can actually be used as fertilizer. It’s not all for making bombs as the media stupidly claims.)
So wait, millionaire gambling man who has no military training, no familiarity with automatic weapons, no James Bond super spy training, no political affiliations and nothing in the world to complain about just got tired of living in a $400,000 home, banging Vegas hookers and flying around his private Cessna? Instead of that rather well-off life, he wants to run a suicide mission, set up spy cameras in the hallway, shoot a bunch of innocent people he’s never met and then shoot himself in the head while going down in history as a flaming piece of s##t who will burn in Hell forever? Oh yeah, and before he does all that, he wires $100,000 to his girlfriend in the Philippines?
Call me stupid, but something doesn’t add up here. I don’t know if it’s the missing brass, the missing carpet burns, the wildly fluctuating rifle count, the staged police photos, the B.S. suicide story, the totally laughable ballistics miracles of .223 rounds or the magically disappearing evidence of all the rifle rounds that hit pavement but then seemed to be whisked away by law enforcement. But something smells fishy about all this.
Or maybe I’m just so stupid that I can’t quite understand CNN. Yeah, that must be it. _________________ --

CNN changing their headlines to obscure zero Paddock motive
(CNN)Marilou Danley said that she was worried her boyfriend, Stephen Paddock, was trying to break up with her when he bought her a cheap ticket to the Philippines about two weeks ago, then wired her money so she could buy her and her family a house there.
http://edition.cnn.com/2017/10/04/us/las-vegas-shooting-investigation/ index.html
But Danley, in a statement read by her attorney, said she didn't know Paddock had planned to carry out a mass shooting.
In her first public remarks since Paddock killed 58 people and wounded close to 500 others in Las Vegas on Sunday night, Danley said Paddock -- a man she described as "kind" -- never gave her any clues or any warning "that something horrible like this was going to happen."
Before Paddock checked into the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino last Thursday, authorities said had secured a rental at The Ogden, a condominium complex, through a private owner on Airbnb, around the time of the Life is Beautiful concert, which took place September 22 to September 25.
"It never occurred to me in any way whatsoever that he was planning violence against anyone," Danley said in the statement.
Danley, who lived with Paddock in Mesquite, Nevada and was out of the country during the shooting, returned to the United States on Tuesday night from the Philippines and spoke to the FBI and the Las Vegas police, her attorney Matt Lombard confirmed.
"I will cooperate fully with their investigation," she said in the statement. "Anything I can do to help ease suffering and help in any way, I will do."
Danley said she was "devastated by the deaths."

Shooter's girlfriend: 'Never occurred to me' he was planning violence CNN · 1 day ago
Investigators are looking into two key pieces of evidence that seem to suggest that Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock was not entirely alone in his Mandalay Bay hotel room.
Senior law enforcement officials told NBC News that they have made two discoveries in Paddock's 32nd-floor hotel room that they currently cannot explain.
The first is a cell phone charger that does not match any of the devices that belonged to the gunman.
The second is a hotel record showing that one of Paddock's key cards was used to access his room while his car was outside of the hotel's parking garage.
Investigators told NBC News that while there are many possible explanations for these two puzzling finds, they are hoping to get to the bottom of things immediately.
A mysterious piece of paper was also found in the shooter's hotel room, where he opened fire on the Route 91 Harvest country music festival Sunday night, killing at least 59 concertgoers and injuring more than 500.

Agent overseeing FBI investigation says ‘theories are great’ after sheriff speculates that Stephen Paddock could have had assistance

Police previously said that Paddock had used his girlfriend’s identification when he checked in, which could account for the fact two people were thought to be occupying the room.
Sheriff Lombardo said no one else was found in the room when the SWAT team entered and found Paddock dead.
Lombardo had previously said law enforcement believed Paddock had perpetrated “a solo act”. But on Wednesday, he appeared to change his position. His speculation about the possibility Paddock was aided came after an exchange in which he conceded investigators had not been able to identify any “person of interest” other than Danley.
He said investigators were, however, pressing to find others who may have been involved. It was possible that Paddock was “a super guy” who was “working out all of this on his own”, Lombardo said. But he added: “It would be hard for me to believe that.”
The comment appeared to earn a veiled rebuke from the agent overseeing the FBI’s investigation.
“Theories are great and everyone can have a theory,” said Aaron Rouse, who runs the bureau’s Las Vegas division, and took to the lectern immediately after the sheriff’s comments. “But I need to deal with facts. The sheriff needs to deal with facts.” He added: “He’s not going to make assumptions. I’m not going to make assumptions.”

The shooter also sprayed 200 rounds of gunfire into the hallway when an unarmed security guard, identified as Jesus Campos, approached his hotel room.
The security guard, who was hit in the leg, then helped a group of police officers clear out rooms on the 32nd floor of the hotel, before they finally got to Paddock.

Neighbor of Las Vegas Killer Claims He Was Just a Patsy

I know that it sounds very Lee Harvey Oswald-esque, but according to a caller to the Michael Savage Show (Michael Savage is a well known conservative talk show radio host and winner of the National Radio Hall of Fame award) on Monday, Stephen Paddock could not have carried the horrible Las Vegas massacre on his own. The man on Michael Savage show claims he was neighbor with Stephen Paddock in Mesquite, Nevada between 2015 and 2016 and calls himself Rick.
Rick is a former Marine and he asserted that Paddock was a buddy of his, and they were regularly hit the bars and the slot machines:
The Jewish Gangster Who Founded the Gambling State in Las Vegas
http://web.nli.org.il/sites/NLI/English/library/reading_corner/Pages/J ew_gangster_in_vegas.aspx
Benny “Bugsy” Siegel hoped to turn the remote and dusty city of Las Vegas into the gambling capital of the United States of America. This man of the underworld bet all of his cards on this city and managed to rack up many enemies from the crime world along the way. His intuition, history has taught us, was one hundred percent correct, but unfortunately for this Jewish gangster, it wasn't his house that cashed in the riches.
The city of Las Vegas in the state of Nevada was founded in May 1905. This was not a typical city; for the first forty years of its existence, Las Vegas was a sparsely populated city located in a dusty desert state. The first generation of residents never imagined the tourist paradise their city would eventually become.
If the Second World War had wreaked total destruction upon large swaths of Europe and Asia, the war economy in the US had actually reawakened the Depression Era economy, bringing in its wake unprecedented prosperity. The American century began with an enormous economic boom and the middle class was at last able enjoy the good life that until then had been the preserve of America’s wealthiest, which included some of the more suspect activities like gambling, prostitution, and the consumption of drugs and alcohol.
Most of the illegal gambling places were in the hands of the American Crime Syndicate—an umbrella for the American underworld controlled by “Lucky” Luciano, an Italian immigrant, and Meyer Lansky, a Russian-Jewish immigrant. Gambling joints and casinos were situated in two main locations: Miami and Cuba. The new technology of air flight had made America smaller and the fact that Nevada was the only state in the union where gambling was legal placed it on the investment map of the criminal world.
One of the most notorious personalities of the American crime world was Benny “Bugsy” Siegel, who already in 1941 had visited Nevada in the hope of finding an ideal location that he could turn into the legal gambling capital of America. Bugsy came up empty-handed after his first scouting mission. While he recognized Las Vegas’s potential, the owners of the city’s first casino refused the Jewish gangster’s offer to buy out their shares. Eventually Bugsy found the right seller and along with throwing around a lot of cash and threats he purchased a small gambling hotel in the downtown part of the city. Meyer Lansky did not share his long-time partner’s optimism regarding the future of the desert town, but he decided to support him and invest along with other figures from the crime world.
From the start of his work on the project, Bugsy’s ostentatiousness knew no bounds: he hired the best interior designers money could buy, equipped the hotel with the most expensive furnishings, and he himself undertook the design of the deluxe suites. Above all, he invested in the casino and the bar, which he believed would provide the main income of the new Flamingo Hotel.
