Fetzer & his family have received death threats.

AFP reporter Bollyn was assaulted.

Ruppert has left fearing for his life.

Alex Jones was detained and intimidated in Canada, also receives threats regularly in the US.

9/11 Truthers are routinely slandered in the media.

God, that was painful reading. He has been put through hell.

One is left with the questions, "What kind of world do we really live in?" and "Is there any realistic hope of preventing the US and UK from becoming full-on fascist states?"

This comes as quite a shock.

I have just started reading Crossing The Rubicon and was wondering what Ruppert was up to at the moment as, from my viewpoint, his profile over the past year or so has been low to say the least.

The account he gives, on the link you posted, Noel, gives an indication of the irritant he had become to the powers that be and the measures which they took to attempt to neutralise him.

Painful reading indeed.

Oddly enough FTW just published what appeared to be a somewhat hopeful essay - subscribers only but free summary - by staff member Michael Kane last week.

Without the benefit of the complete essay it is difficult to understand why Kane thinks it could be a problem for the powerful elite to reign in the neocons. The FTW postion, like almost everyone else's, has the neocons as frontmen for the global elite so...?

I took heart from Kane's summary linking it with the sudden about change in the UN towards the Lebanon and the Israeli and US unreasonable first resolution being completely overturned with the more conciliatory one being accepted by all.

I think his story should be taken with a grain of salt, to be honest. It sounds like he has pretty bad financial problems and my sympathies to him on that front, but the stuff about secretly escaping the US, guys in vans outside his place and the vandalism/theft stuff just doesn't ring 100% truth.

I don't want to disparage him, he's done more than I have on this issue, but I think it's probably a good idea to maintain a bit of cynicism. I really don't think the state feels that threatened by Michael Ruppert. Some of that article/letter sounds pretty paranoid.

And as for Bollyn, I wouldn't be at all surprised if that is 100% bs. If it's not he should be seeing his lawyer not massemailing the 911 community.

We live in a very quiet neighborhood. We notice every car or person
who passes by. We hear every noise behind the window.
There has been this unmarked dark blue police car with three antennas
and three guys inside it circling around our house for some time. Well,
Chris did not like it and called the cops. The same unmarked blue police car came back in no time; the guys jumped out and were very arrogant. They did not tell me their names nor showed me their identifications except their shiny police badges. ²Chris had some questions about their mission around our house which they did not seem to like [at all] and they arrested him. Just lovely to see him being pushed face down in the dirt with some dumb knee pushed against his neck by a brute, and hand-cuffs put on him. In no time there were five more police cars lights blinking on the street, our lawn full of cops and a fire truck/ambulance - quite an event!
I wanted to take some pictures but then they said they would arrest
me, too. I had to drop my gardening scissors since they considered it a
weapon. They took my name and DOB (note: date of birth). They asked me where I was from. ²It was interesting that they had a woman in the team who calmed down Catherine (NB: one of the Bollyn¹s children) who was upset. They showed her the fire truck and all. One police officer was very kind to me. If any of you would like to ask any questions about what the Hoffman Estates Police Station is doing with Chris Bollyn, don't hesitate to call:
