How would you trigger a war against Iran?

If we assume that the US desperately wants to strike Iran (whether due to the upcoming oil bourse, or for other geopolitical reasons) and that the US does not flinch from false flag terror ops, then how do they best accomplish this goal?

If you were the neocons, what would you do? This is a purely rhetorical exercise, a "what if" scenario.

If I were organising a false flag op, I'd do this:

I'd want "radiation terror" symbols all over the news networks, to scare the hell out of everybody, and to justify the use of nuclear bunker-buster weapons against Iran. "They used nukes first! So we can use 'em". Except I wouldn't actually want to set of a nuke, of course. So I'd use a dirty bomb - something not disastrously radioactive.

I'd want to draw attention away from the growing 911 truth movement and bury it if possible, and get the strike in before the next elections. So I'd be looking at a timeframe of a couple of months.

Next, I'd want to be sure my allies are going to back me. So I'd strike their soldiers and/or civilians.

But where?

What about a place full of UN troops? A peacekeeping force? Someplace where we can claim there are "terrorists" operating, "terrorists" linked to Iran. How about Southern Lebanon? A radioactive zone there would make a great buffer for Israel. Even if the radiation isn't deadly, I could claim it is. It could be a strictly "suited-up" zone. I could evacuate everybody except troops with suits.

But what was this bomb doing there? Well, I could say that it was en route to Israel from Iran via Syria, that Hizbollah were planning "death on an unimaginable scale."

And why did it go off? A tip off scrambled Israeli fighters, who then blew the thing up before it could reach their country? Terrorist incompetence?

But how do I get the bomb there in the first place?

I'd need to invade on some pretext, perhaps plant the device under some rubble, then withdraw my troops to safety before it is set to blow.

Then I'd just need to wait until the UN forces arrived.

That's what I'd do.

Anyone else got a suggestion? How would you go about it? A prize to whoever gets it right.

A major attack against us forces in Iraq using a dirty bomb with delivery of the weapon traced directly to Iran. This way Iran is attacking "peace-keeping, democracy-delivering brave soldiers" and would be set up for annihilation. The celebrating muslims would be all over the tv screens (use old footage from anywhere like they did after 9/11) and the sheeple would be gung ho for "revenge". 9/11 all over again really.

my guess is that now iran want to negociate the u.s will not be satisfied with a single thing even though the u.n thinks there is no reason to doubt iran in what it says and promises it will do from these talks, then they will say well we are america and we are going in with or without your support and in the name of terror, just like with iraq. however i prey this dosnt happen iran has backed down by choosing these talks and are giving peace a chance, i reckon the rest should do the same. but they wont, and dont care what the result will be. i hope im wrong.
