What is everyones opinions on the so called "Terror Charges"? What can we deduce?

Riaz, I posted this elsewhere last night, but not much opinion was forthcoming, so am reposting it on your thread, hope you don't mind.

Now forgive me for sounding still sceptical, but there is a great fanfare going up in the media that 11 of these alleged bombers have now been charged, and four have appeared in court today.

Peter Clarke, head of London police's anti-terrorist branch, said police had seized a huge amount of equipment and evidence, including "martyrdom videos" -- an apparent reference to testaments by would-be suicide bombers -- in 69 searches of houses, businesses, vehicles and open spaces.

They had found bomb-making equipment, chemicals including hydrogen peroxide, electrical components and documents. Police also seized more than 400 computers, 200 mobile telephones and 8,000 memory sticks, CDs or DVDs. Last night the news was stating stuff like "if the content of the all the computer files seized were all printed out, it would fill Scotland Yard". Well, so would the contents of my computer I'm typing from now.

Now the "martyrdom videos" may sound odd I admit, although kids with a digicam record all sorts of strange things (see some of them on 'You Tube'), but these people are in their teens and early twenties, and the stuff seized sounds to me like the sort of thing I would expect these young people to have. Indeed, I could find all these things in my own home. I have a big collection of CD's and DVD's!! The only thing I don't have which these alleged bombers seem to have is a mobile phone. And although I don't use it myself, I am sure I could find hydrogen peroxide amongst my wife's things!! So what is going on here?

Am I also going to be under suspicion as a terrorist, indeed, are you or all of us?? Sorry, but I have got a creepy 'orrible feeling here, am I alone? I think there is so much pressure being placed upon the police, I just hope that natural justice, impartial and thorough investigation has not 'gone out of the window'!!

Ah well Riaz, I can't help thinking that this is just the continuation of the 'great illusion' by our Governments. I failed to see just how the alleged terrorists could be simply released after their 28 days (thank God the lawmakers refused to extend this to 90 days), and, if they are innocent of this, then I feel really sorry for them and their families as they are no doubt terrified in their ordeal. (Now I would also like to add here that, if, and I emphasise the word if, they were indeed, involved in creating explosives on board a plane, then they should be prosecuted as far as the law authorises, 'throwing the key away' if necessary)

However, assuming that this is part of our Government's illusion, I also think that the defence lawyers will be busy, and I have no doubts that they will be able to ridicule and disprove this thing in front of a jury of peers. I, for one, am looking forward to hearing the prosecution's case as to how these so called bombs could be made from this TATP stuff in the toilets of a plane. Now I am not a chemist, and don't understand the technicalities of this document, but what I also cannot understand, and I think a jury of peers would also not be able to understand, is how this TATP could be mixed up in a plane's bog!! It is mind boggling, and I wonder just how long the gullible public can be kept strung along with this tale. Even a James Bond novel is more credible.

Am I right in thinking that the plot had been infiltrated by MI5?

If so, doesn't the plot seem to have striking similarities to the Canadian and Miami fake plots?

Was the mole the leader/camera man?
